Overall a decent paint store offering some commercial products…read more Needed a specialty waterborne alkyd paint for some interior trim. Researched options from PPG. Decided on the Advantage 900 interior/exterior Advantage 900 is a styrene acrylic the provides very fast drying and is relatively easy work to work with. If you use this paint, my recommendation is to not attempt a quick re-coat. If it needs a second coat, allow it to fully dry then come back and apply a second coat. I made this mistake of trying to do a quick re-coat over one section, and it was evident. Excellent hardness for a waterborne paint. Overall I think an oil based alkyd Provides a Smoother final product, but this paint dry so fast it has hardly any fumes. Great oil based alkyd alternative. This paint store also offers other commercial grade products. I noticed nitrocellulose sprayable lacquer, oil based furniture stains, and other products. The selection is somewhat limited and it is geared toward professional painters. One minor issue, no respirator cartridges for my painting respirator at the store. Employees: spoke to the manager on the phone before deciding to shop at the store. He's knowledgeable about painting products. The store clerk the day I went was lackadaisical but with some prompting he got the job done. Note custom color matches take almost a full workday at the store.

I stopped by today near closing time (I would have been there 15 minutes early but it was super difficult to find the store because they don't have an exterior sign--there is apparently some dispute with the contractor, and the shopping center won't let them put up a banner sign--note that it's next to the Mattress store) and only got there about 2 minutes before closing. I had called about 5 minutes before because I was lost and desperate to get my paint sample before they closed. Adam answered the phone and calmly described how to get to the store, and helped me as if he was not in the slightest hurry. I repeatedly apologized and told him I was sorry to come so late, and he repeatedly reassured me that it was fine and it was his pleasure to help me. I brought in two painted foam boards and told him that I wanted a color of the darker kind in the same tone, but halfway between the darker and lighter board. He mixed several different samples for me, including painting them on my board and drying them with a blow-dryer, and adding more mixture until I was satisfied with two samples to take home. Needless to say, this took about 45 minutes, which means he was probably late getting home to dinner, and for that I'm so sorry (but also so grateful, since I have to pick my final paints for my contractor in the next two days)! This kind of great service is exactly why I come to Kelly-Moore (which is family owned) rather than its competitor, who will remain nameless (also, KM has much better prices). We hired My Dailey to put Christmas lights on our house. He quoted us a price to purchase the…read morelights, put them on the house and come back to remove the lights after Christmas was over. Mr. Dailey arrived at our home to remove the lights and told us we owed him more money to do so. When I reminded him he quoted me a price that he specifically said included removing the lights he reluctantly said he would remove the lights. A few moments later, he told me he had a family emergency and left. We have been very patient with Mr. Daley speaking with him on the phone several times to find a time for him to remove our lights. He no longer returns our calls and a month later, he has still not removed the lights. I would not recommend Mr. Dailey to any one and believe that he is dishonest and unreliable.
