Overall a decent paint store offering some commercial products. Needed a specialty waterborne alkyd paint for some interior trim. Researched options from PPG. Decided on the Advantage 900 interior/exterior Advantage 900 is a styrene acrylic the provides very fast drying and is relatively easy work to work with. If you use this paint, my recommendation is to not attempt a quick re-coat. If it needs a second coat, allow it to fully dry then come back and apply a second coat. I made this mistake of trying to do a quick re-coat over one section, and it was evident. Excellent hardness for a waterborne paint. Overall I think an oil based alkyd Provides a Smoother final product, but this paint dry so fast it has hardly any fumes. Great oil based alkyd alternative. This paint store also offers other commercial grade products. I noticed nitrocellulose sprayable lacquer, oil based furniture stains, and other products. The selection is somewhat limited and it is geared toward professional painters. One minor issue, no respirator cartridges for my painting respirator at the store. Employees: spoke to the manager on the phone before deciding to shop at the store. He's knowledgeable about painting products. The store clerk the day I went was lackadaisical but with some prompting he got the job done. Note custom color matches take almost a full workday at the store. read more

Well, I'm upset. We built our home custom in 2009. Selected a line of paint colors from PPG, the monarch line. I kept ALL my receipts and color swatches. When it came time for touch ups I was informed that this line was bought out and no longer available. I don't think its unreasonable for me to feel like this should have been worked out a little better in the "buy out" process. Not having the original pigment being the number 1 issue. In this line of business and with a company that is in it for the long haul these things really matter. I spent roughly $20,000 to have my home painted and now have to experiment with paint matching to touch up. Not cool. read more

I had a great experience at PPG Round Rock. I'm in the process of selling my 8 year old house that was originally painted with PPG paints. I had went to another store to have a paint match done and it turned out awful. I went to the PPG store off Texas Ave and the guys were super helpful in getting me colors to match the existing paint in my house. They did a color match and it is an exact match with the current paint in the house. They saved me a lot of repainting with their color match process and I'm now able to touch up paint throughout the house without any issues. read more

Extremely poor customer service and management. The RR store location opens at 7am, not 6am, as stated on Yelp and Google. Do yourself a favor, head over to the Cedar Park location and save yourself the headache. read more

Same as the other comment. Went in to get a quart of touch up paint. Said can only sell in 5 gallon buckets. For real? Thanks PPG, you made it easy for me to never use you again. read more

Would not recommend! Our builders chose Pittsburgh Paints for the interior of our home. When the time came that I needed a touchup the store refused to sell me anything smaller than a 5 gallon bucket. They had it in stock but refused to pour or mix and sell a sample size or quart, making it a very difficult process to do any touch ups. read more

Their paint tinters are artists! They matched my color so perfectly that even from a different container, different lot, years apart, you can't tell where the touch ups are AT ALL. They were very nice and professional, great customer service. I highly recommend them. Plus, the paint covered REALLY well with one coat, and it was one of their lowest priced lines. read more
