Katherine took the time to talk through the various paint options, gave recommendations, referrals to local painters, and were really kind and knowledgeable about the products and the industry. My original review of this store mentioned problems with supply of paint bases, but the customer service here beats any other place. I had so much help picking out the gray color for our nursery; sometimes it's really difficult to tell the differences between the colors when you've been looking at swatches for a while. We had already spent 60+ dollars on several samples and a full gallon of paint that didn't work out, so this help was greatly appreciated. They had great samples of the different sheens so you know exactly what you are buying. Also, there are 3 different levels/bases of paints - the two upper levels are painter/primer in one. The ultraspec will require primer. Ask them what they would recommend for the type of room you are painting. Since we were painting a nursery, they didn't recommend matte because the paint color would come off easier if you wiped it with water/rag. read more

Great place--until I met the associate manager. Wish I could have caught his name (young guy with glasses), because he was less than accommodating when I had a batch problem with my BM Advance paint. (Sadly, this was after I had dropped nearly $200 in material at their store.) Such a disappointment, because I had the polar opposite experience when I bought the paint. Jessica and Dwight were absolutely wonderful, knowledgable, and extremely professional--sharing personal recommendations on the specific type of project I was working on. Their recommendations for rollers and BM Advance Primer were top notch, too, going beautifully onto my wood. Unfortunately, when it came to my 2 gallons of BM Advance paint, I could NOT get it to go on my cabinets without air bubbles everywhere. I attempted 3 different types of rollers, my Purdy brush...nothing worked. Note: Before my project, I sanded properly, used tack cloth, stirred the paints slowly with a wooden stick, even let it sit in a can for 2 days. Still--bubbles everywhere. Now I'm no "master" painter, but I'm no rookie either. So logically, when I opened the second gallon of paint and noticed the same absorbent amount of air bubbles in it, I knew it was something with the paint or batch itself. I called up the store and they recommended bringing the paint back so they could examine it. Fair enough. They did a stick test (dipping a stick in and out of the can) on the paint and saw that it had an unusual amount of air bubbles, commenting that they'd never seen that before and it's likely a mishap in the batch itself. Enter assistant manager. While the team was on the phone with Benjamin Moore to inform them of the batch problem, I asked the manager if I could get a replacement of my (clearly faulty) paint so I could get on with my home project. He very nonchalantly said no--that they would not be able to issue two replacement gallons--until they had "concluded for certain" that it was an issue with the gallons via vigorous testing. This would not be done until this weekend, requiring me to make yet another trip out to Roosters. He did not seem to have a problem with this solution. Unfortunately, I did--for two reasons. #1. This store is not around the corner from me--but rather very far. I planned my day around my initial trip out to Roosters, (and that was assuming I would not be making a second and third trip back.) #2. I needed the paint ASAP to finish touching up my kitchen chairs, since I was hosting guests the following week. I informed the manager of this. His response? "Paint takes 3 weeks to fully cure. You shouldn't be having your guests sit on those chairs anyway." I am sorry, but did I come to your store for timeline advice on when I should complete my home projects, or did I come to your store to purchase paint? Paint, of which, I should successfully be able to use? I work in management myself, and honestly, the lack of customer empathy/desire to find a better solution here left me stunned. Though he did explain that "because they're a Mom and Pop shop, they can't go giving away $100 paint for free." Unfortunately, the lifetime value of a customer is worth way more than $100, which will sadly cost Roosters more in the end. I did end up getting a refund for my two faulty gallons, but not without a major headache, and also not before he reminded me that if I get my paint from Sherwin Williams, the primer which I had painted all of my cabinets with would not work with anything other than BM Advance. I'll get BM Advance again, but not from Roosters! What a headache. And such a shame that one person can ruin the whole experience. read more

Came in to color match a couple colors for our new kitchen cabinets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dwight was awesome with providing us a lot of useful information when picking paint options. He took the time to show us examples. Jessica and Guillermo helped with troubleshooting when one of the colors didn't come out right. Will definitely come back for future paint projects. read more

He was very helpful in selecting which paints I needed, friendly, found me the best deal, and carried my paint to my car for me. I walked in to this store for the very first time in early July, 2017 and have never before used any Benjamin Moore products. The sales staff (John specifically) was very knowledgeable and helpful. We brought in a paint sample we liked that we got from one of the box stores and not once did we hear a bad word about them. That's a very big deal to me having spent much of my adult life in different types of sales, don't knock the competition, tell me why your stuff is better. That's exactly what he did. The best sales person in the world can't make up for bad products. Happily, I can say that the Regal Select Exterior house paint is hands down the best paint I've ever used. It spreads real smooth and covers well. 2 Coats was all it took. We accepted a color tip from John that turned out to be right on. I will say that if you accept color advise from a staff member, it's still your house and you have to accept the color you use. This is now my full time paint store. read more

Roosters and Benjamin Moore is the only way to go! I've painted way more times than I care to remember, flipped houses and started again. Used every brand and every store - from big box to family owned - and BM is the best. Covers great in one coat, no drips and beautiful finish. I'll never use any other brand of paint again and will always buy from this locally owned business. They treat customers with respect, patience and the attention they deserve. I ordered my paint at Roosters Paint Center, the Round Rock, TX, distributor for Benjamin Moore paints and many other paints and supplies. Rick, the manager, gave me some very helpful advice--the best of which was to hire a professional to paint my front door. He kept my bathroom waste can to match the color perfectly for me. There is a hint of pink in the red and it will be high gloss. The paint is something new--oil-based but soap and water clean-up. He highly recommended it and since he manages the store, I believe he has sold me the right product. Also, he is ordering a matching primer which will be, of course, a dull paint to be applied after some washing, sanding, washing again and drying of the door. Paint should be ready this week. I used Roosters for several years during home and investment home remodels. BM makes great quality products but the reason I have stuck with this particular store is one person...DWIGHT! He is THE man! If you are painting anything from cabinets to furniture to walls...Dwight is the go-to person. His paint knowledge is above and beyond anything I have experienced at any other paint companies. He would give ANY paid paint consultant a run for their money! From undertone, to proper application and technique, warm, cold, you name it! Dwight will not only help you navigate it all but will break it down in a way that helps you understand what you are seeing. I am a stickler for quality service and Dwight sticks out as one of THE best! Thank you Dwight for your continued help!
