We came here to get a gallon of paint matched to a previous color. They were in the middle of inventory but the did tell us what we needed to do if we needed something off the shelves. They did their best to match the color and it wasn't a long wait to get what we needed. They even offered to add our phone number and info into the system to make it easier for next time. Parking was in a giant lot so there were no issues there. I will say it's a bit steep in price for the paint but this paint has lasted quite a while longer than Home Depot paints. read more

Used to be I could order paint online and it would be ready for pick up within the day. Since Covid, this place has turned into a joke. Many times I have ordered paint online and wait for days for a confirmation email. If I'm lucky I will get a response within the week. Lately, I haven't even been getting a response at all. Once I was told to call. So I called. I showed up and the paint wasn't ready. I'm not sure why I keep doing this to myself. Also, the manager has no business in that position: there will be six people in line and he's back in his office while one guy is working orders. Stopped into this Sherwin-Williams in round rock because I needed cone filters to filter lacquer. I was truly shocked - $0.58 per paper filter! The pricing is absolute insanity. Also the selection was limited - only fine, no other filter grade. When I asked about medium grade filters, the store employee was rather abrupt and surly and basically said that's all we have. So the guys working here are not very helpful unless you pursue them...they spent the entire time talking while we were there about how they were winners and not going to lose in life and had bigger things in store for themselves. I kid you not, I cannot make this up. Maybe because a lot of contractors come in here and me and my husband and the baby we were wheeling around looked like we knew what we were doing?? Once we starting engaging them a bit more they became more helpful. A lost looking lady came in and they helped her right away so I'd have to think that it wasn't anything personal with their attitude towards us at first. Not sure if the paint perks home consultants work directly for Sherwin Williams but they are destroying your good name. Do not use this service. They have stood me up twice in one week. 1st the store person said was a double booking. Ok, things happen. however, the consultants have to see bookings to accept them. Soooooo..... wasted time off from work!!! NO SHOW/NO CALL 2nd was the reschedule. Specifically set to agreed upon day/time by the consultant. Wasted sat morning. NO SHOW/NO CALL SW left me on phone forever that I was finally booted over to answering service. Called back and they were still trying to reach consultant and would call me back. My Dad was a carpenter, so I literally grew up in Sherwin Williams. This store is geared towards contractors and repeat business. I literally stood in line for an hour last time I was there, and there were only two people in front of me. One guy walked in, clearly a regular, and one of the cashiers took care of him before everyone else. It was annoying but I get it. Prices are usually higher than everywhere else, but so is the quality to be honest. The only way you should shop here is if and when you receive a discount coupon, are a contractor, work for a company that has a business account with SW, or live in a neighborhood that gets a discount. Like I said, the quality is good, but you definitely pay for it. I rated 2 stars for this location. Customer service kinda sucks to be honest, but I love me some SW and am loyal to the brand. I've been a contractor for over 2 decades. This particular store is one of my favorite places to purchase paint and accessories. Why? They're direct, precise, usually pretty quick to complete orders and their stock is always up to par. I might have to wait a bit to order - they've quite a bit of traffic. I usually call it in then pop in to pick it up...it's faster that way. Covid has had its way with all businesses....but they still do a great job with what little resources they have. It's a good team over there. This store and also that little one just north of Old Settlers on 35. Both good stores. read more

I will NEVER do business with Sherwin-Williams ever again! We were in their Round Rock, Texas store on two different occasions and not only were we not greeted, no one asked if they could help us. To make matters worse, when our contractor took a sample can of paint to them to be replicated they did an entirely HORRIBLE job of matching a color we needed for one of our bathrooms. We should have instructed our contractor to go with Kelly-Moore paint although he had already bought the paint. I am not writing a review about anyone but Keating who works there. This is the second time that his lack of knowledge or his unwillingness to actually help customers has cost me significant time and money. When you pay double for paint compared to Home Depot and Lowe's and also go to an actual paint store, you EXPECT the person who is helping you to actually be helpful and make suggestions. I am not a professional painter. That is very obvious from the second I walk in. Therefore I expect people to help me and make my painting as easy as painting can be, especially when I go to a painting store and pay double for my paint. The most recent incident is I was painting a wall in my house dark blue. After 2 coats, I went to a different Sherwin Williams store and asked them why it wasn't covering at all. Simple solution, there is a primer that is supposed to be used this with. There is even a number on the back of the color sample that says which primer. Since I don't work there, I did not know this. BUT! It is something that someone who claims to have worked there for over 2 years should know! And SHOULD SUGGEST to amateur painters! I have now had to buy yet another quart of paint and 6 ( yes, SIX!) coats later, my wall is finally done. I like Sherwin Williams, and I have worked with other people at different stores who were very helpful (and helped me fix the issues that have arisen from Keating's lack of suggestions or advise), but do not work with Keating if you go to this store. read more

Very poor customer service and couldn't match a khaki paint that I had in my home. I had to go twice to try and get a good paint color match and the worker that helped me both times barely said two words to me. He really appeared to be annoyed about being at work and with having to deal with me. I never got the paint match that I needed and just counted this as a loss. I didn't even want to drive back again and deal with the poor service. It's really crazy to me that businesses run like this with such poor customer service. read more

I've been to this location a couple times. Both times the folks have been very helpful and available to answer questions about projects I'm working on. You definitely pay a premium for their paint but its good stuff. The paint clearly has a nice pad of profit margin which is why I'm giving them 4/5 stars. I have 2 complaints. I will say this store customer service is not good. They are not rude, but they kept me standing at the counter for 10 mins. There was one guy working with another customer when I walked in. We were the only ones in the store. He clearly saw me and did not say anything. It turns out, there was another person in the back that finally came out. The first guy could have very easily said, "I'll be right with you sir." or went to the back to call the 2nd attendant out. No... he chose to make me wait 10 mins even though he looked at me several times. 2nd part, I've been in the store several times because it is the closest. The workers here are very young. I dont discriminate, but they dont understand customer service and they dont go the extra mile to get you what you need. I tried paint matching and twice the color was totally off. I complained both times at the store, but they assured me it would come out right. In one case, the kid told me.."oh, the trick to touch up is do as less as possible.". I mean seriously? I was able to get my paint match exactly right at a different store after talking to the manager. She got it right the first time. I wont be back after a while. read more

Unfortunately I have to give 1 star, I'd give ZERO stars if possible! My husband and I were painting our kitchen cabinets. We only needed a little more paint so my husband went to the store to get more. They mixed up the half gallon my husband said he needed. When she rang him up she informed him the gallons were on sale for $3 more. He said ok great let's do another half gallon for the $3. She and the other store associates refused to mix him another half gallon to give to him at the on sale price of a full gallon- for no reason other than she had already rung up the half gallon. He let them know about the awful customer service and how that is not fair business practice. Even though my husband swore to never go back, I was looking for Benjamin Moore paint colors which Home Depot and Lowes don't carry. I called and asked THREE times to clarify "If I can tell you the name of the Benjamin Moore color can you give me the corresponding SW swatch color?" The store associate told me THREE times "Yes. If you can tell me the color since we don't carry that brand I can give you the matching swatch color" I said "Swatch not paint color" he said "Yes, corresponding SWATCH." So we get in the car immediately after I hang up, drive all the way up there, just for the OTHER store associate to tell me they can't and don't do that and then the other associate just must have been "confused". I asked for the other associate to come to the front so I could ask what he meant (maybe he knew something this front store guy didn't) to which he refused and said "Sorry but we can't do that." You and your store have a horrible rating for a reason. You rip people off, your employees don't know what they are talking about, and they CONTINUALLY mess up. First we were looking at paint samples for 30 minutes without so much as a Hello or may I help you. At least 3 employees talking behind the counter and no one else in the store. But when a contractor came in they were all over him with assistance. The final straw was when my wife asked for some advice from the female employee and she was less than helpful. We should have left at this point but we had to get samples to make a final decision on our remodeling project. The young lady at the register asked for our name, we gave her our name and she rang up the sale. When my wife looked at the receipt the employee had used another person with a totally different address. My wife told her that she had used the wrong customer information. The employees response was "that was the name that came up" . No apology, no offer to correct, all she did was stare at my wife. Needless to say we will never return to that SW store again. Everyone that visits a Sherwin Williams store needs to understand the HUGE volume that the store produces every week, with a limited amount of employees. Home builders, new construction contractors and full time remodelers use Sherwin Williams everyday, because of the quality of paint and paint products. Also, the Sherwin Williams team, especially Round Rock store, has extensive knowledge and training about paint products and application procedures. Sure you can be greeted immediately and possibly get better walk in service at Home Depot or Lowes, However, the person helping you and mixing paint at Lowes or Home Depot does not have the training or knowledge and most importantly, the quality of materials available. The Round Rock Sherwin team has been extremely helpful to me as a contractor and a consumer. They have guided me with their knowledge of prep and painting of all types of materials. To name a few, refinishing old distressed wood on a historical home and explaining the importance of proper prep work and color choice when repainting old aluminum siding. If you know what you want to purchase at Sherwin Williams, its much easier to call in your order. Ask when it should be ready, then go pick it up. Ordering over the phone will certainly ease the pain of walking in and having that impatient feeling that we all get from time to time. read more
