Today I picked out a couple of light yellow sample cards for our exterior house painting and asked…read morefor paint samples to be made. Was told that those colors were for interior only. I then asked how exactly to pick yellow sample cards that were for exterior paints and was told by the gentleman to 'avoid yellow colors for the exterior of your house.' I picked two more similar color cards and another employee (female) told me those colors did not come in exterior paints either. No other suggestions from either employee. When I got home, I realized that if I had brought in a yellow chip and asked them to match that color it could have easily been done. Neither of these employees told me that they could match the color and make the exterior paint from the sample card! That should have been a no-brainer for them. Went to another Sherwin-Williams the same day and they were much more helpful.

I stopped in over the weekend to grab several paint samples because, admittedly, I'm a little indecisive when it comes to picking colors. After trying a few at home, I still couldn't make up my mind -- so I went back today and picked up four more samples. Each time I visited, the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions. A special shoutout to Jacob, who went above and beyond by carrying my purchases out to my car for me -- such a kind and thoughtful gesture that you definitely don't see at the big box stores, where you're lucky if you can even find someone to help you! Overall, my experience was absolutely wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend checking out this new Victory Paint Benjamin Moore location if you're looking for great products and even better customer service!

As luck would have it, I decided to finish out some built-in kitchen cabinets with Elfa sliding baskets, sadly without the Elfa sale happening. Since this built-in sideboard has a 17" depth, I am limited in my choices. I was greeted when I entered and I wanted to just walk around and see what was new since my last visit at another store. Another team member followed up and she was very helpful in selecting the rolling baskets we needed to match what we installed over 10 years ago. I don't know why we didn't do them all at the same time, but it was probably cost prohibitive at the time during our kitchen remodel. We made our way up front to the checkout counter to wait in line, but our sales lady was able to scan and tabulate and finalize our purchase right in our cart! Pretty cool! We didn't need any bags so we were on our way in no time! My receipt was emailed to me and we went home and installed the rolling baskets within the hour! A great feeling of organization and accomplishment!
