My wife and I went there because the selection is very good. Their prices are very good, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I were asking for help and ended up loading over 800 pounds of tile by ourselves (first to the cart and then the truck). Some of the tile was still wrapped in plastic and had straps around it. I had to go and ask for a utility knife to cut the wrapping and cords/straps. Any decent customer service place would've said "I'm sorry, what did you need help with?". However, they just stood there and looked at their phones, talking with each other the entire time we were 10 yards away loading all this material. read more

BEWARE - ROBERY - THE DISPLAY ISN'T ACCURATE. Was charged $17,000 on what should have been less than $7,000. Their numbers are likely NOT correct unless you do them yourself and confront them about it after your calculations. You shouldn't pay more for inferior product. They are quick to hold you to make a sale upon discrepancies. Their delivered products are not adequate or accurate from what you see on display. There is a reason they are cheaper. I suggest you go elsewhere, spend a little more to be happy, and have your project look good. read more

Since Floor & Decor, Colony provides him space in their store, recommends him and encourages their customers to use his services, they are accountable for his unprofessional and irresponsible service practice. BEWARE : I am giving here a detailed account of my experience with Evan (DFW Hardwood Flooring) for your awareness to make a wise decision. I recommend you to use others (professional, ethical, hard-working and honest service providers in DFW area) for your flooring and other projects. I signed a service contract on Apr 11th, 2024 with Evan(DFW Hardwood Flooring) through 'Installation Made Easy Inc.' for $2300 (for labor only) to install tiles as part of remodelling shower. Evan told me (not in the contract) all plumbing work (installing shower head,valve, handle) will be my responsibility. He sub-contracted this work to someone else. Few guys showed up at my door (not sure they were insured/licensed and which company they belong to). While removing existing tiles they broke the shower drain pipe (which was fitted under the wooden shower floor). Evan refused to take care of this saying 'he will not do any plumbing' , regardless of the fact the pipe was broken by his sub-contractor. I filed a claim at Installation Made Easy, which they rejected saying Evan explained to them he already informed customer that 'anything broken during installation is customers' responsibility' - which is not the truth.Do you think any customer would agree to this kind of terms ? I need to pay $375 to a plumber to fix the drain pipe. I need to spend $600 more to fix the drywall and paint ceiling for the hole under the drain pipe. Evan did not communicate to his sub-contractor about the shower design we explained and agreed upon. This created a lot of issues for us to explain and oversee the job with the spanish only speaking sub-contractors that Evan sent to us. Evan never visited to check on the job. His only follow-up with us was for his payments. CAUTION: After reading all these, if you still decide to go with Evan (DFW Hardwood Flooring) for your floor, tile & other projects, you may want to consider these : 1/ Get in writing from Evan about 'who is responsible and accountable for any damages caused by his team during the project?' 2/ Who are his sub-contractors ? Are they insured and licensed ? 3/Break down of cost estimate, details of work, time to start and complete the work, process to verify completion of work as per your design 4/ Read through his 'Service Contract' carefully and do not sign without getting written explanation from Evan if you have any questions/clarifications. Going to this store was a very surprising and incredible experience. I am not the one to be hanging all day looking a tiles, colors and textures, plus I am always wrong according to my wife. Enter here Caitlyn and Sabrina. They have the most positive helpful personalities and knowledge about decoration. They are Just right for the job with their interior design and architectural background. We saved lots of time and they went above and beyond to help us get what we needed. Their suggestions were spot on and saved us a little of money with our big floor tile project and fireplace stone wall. They were super professional and worked as a great team with us. Stopped by here today about 1:10 pm to look at tile for a remodel. We were there for about 35 minutes and basically walked the entire store. We were not approached by a single employee asking if they could help us. I heard one employee shouting rudely at a customer from 30 feet away. The frustrated customer had asked loudly, "Can somebody help me?" The employee, who appeared to be chatting with another employee snarled his reply "Just MINUTE boss," and continued the chat. (Perhaps work related, but the tone was certainly unprofessional.) I literally had to hop out of the way of an employee who was looking at his phone with his head down while he was pushing a loaded cart. I said, "Excuse me," and he never even looked up. An aisle that displayed the tiles we were interested in was closed. And I HATE the practice of no prices displayed. QR codes are there, but to me that's not very convenient. Good inventory, but I'll be heading back to other locations in the future. I gave the place two stars, but that's only for the inventory. read more

UPDATE FROM REVIEW ON MAY 14, 2020: I did this review at the time of our original order on May 14, 2020 @12:17 pm. I can now report our order was finally completed on August 15, 2020 @ 4:55 pm. We were originally told the order would be filled within days. The whole thing was a horrible experience. Unless you want to have a part-time job, literally, driving to Floor and Decor, (because much of the time they don't even answer the phone) to get information and track down an order I highly recommend you shop somewhere else. Three months of hassle is far too much time to give details on how bad this experience was, but know that we will NOT be shopping here again. I am so incredibly disappointed. BTW, Covid19 had little or nothing to do with it. It was lack of communication, ineptitude and lack of care for the consumer. Every time we went to the store to find out where our order was and what was going on we left more and more upset. On Saturday, August 15th, when my husband finally walked out with the last of our purchase he had been there 1 hour and 30 minutes. No one wants to have this kind of experience and no one takes pleasure in giving bad reviews. I felt I needed to get back on yelp and update my review because of the horrible experience. read more

I need to give a shout out to Susan and Sam for their help the other day. I searched for 6 months to find the perfect tile for my master bathroom and closet remodel. Then COVID struck and my project came to a standstill. We have restarted construction now and when my contractor came to buy the tile, it had been discontinued!! I drove down to the Colony store and was just about to give up on my dream tile when I met Susan. She made it her personal mission to find me this discontinued tile within the Floor & Decor system. She and Sam strategized where to find it and how to get it shipped to my home as inexpensively as possible. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to get this particular flooring and how Susan and Sam were relentless in making it happen. They truly went above and beyond. Just bought my first house and am replacing flooring. The lady who helped us today was so nice and awesome and made sure we had everything we needed for the process! After that, we waited over an hour to have the tile we selected loaded into the bed of the truck. The guy operating the fork lift actually smashed into the lowered tailgate pretty hard. Luckily no damage but watch them while they load your supplies if they are. The process after selection was very slow and it didnt seem the employees really cared about the operation. Lots of them with lowered heads on their phones. Overall, not the best. We had a way easier and faster transaction at Lowes. read more

Wood manager "Chris" would not understand customer service if it bit him. I asked for them to drop a pallet of flooring to I could purchase 10 more boxes. The sku is in 3 shades and they didn't have the shade on the floor as I had all six on my cart. He refused. That's right, refused a sale of 10 boxes of bamboo flooring. Told me I could only have what was below. He didn't believe the product was separated by shade. I have used this product on over 1000sf and it most definitely has three shades. He told me no. Kat really needs to the person that oversees every single customer experience for the entire company. We walked in and a lot of employees were sitting talking to one another. We asked where some certain tiles were located and the lady waved her hand and said over there, just look around. I finally found one gentleman who was pulling some tile and asked for help. He is the only reason I am giving 3 stars versus a 2 star rating. He walked the store with us, called to the back, and pointed out the tile we were looking at were discontinued and may have issues getting enough. I had my heart set on hand scraped hard wood floors. When I started looking at flooring options I had a lot of people say that engineered wood was the way to go. We have 2 dogs and 2 boys so durability is our biggest concern. I have a hard time liking engineered wood because many look so glossy and not real. A sales associate came over and talked to us. She listened to our pros and cons of engineered wood floors. She suggested if we wanted durability really bamboo was the way to go. We actually found a bamboo floor that looked distressed and really changed the way I look at bamboo floors. She also said that if some how the floor did get damaged it really easy to replace. While walking around I also enjoyed looking at the completed bathroom models. It gave us some great ideas on other projects for the house. read more
