Nestled in downtown Plano, there's this antique store. I'm not a fan of antique stores, but I…read morehonestly did like this one. Most of these unique furnitures are made of real wood, and the quality shows. If the wood is reclaimed, it'll be hard to tell - but they do have a wood shop in the back. Maybe some don't have easy rollers for the drawers, but the wood is really the priciest part of any furniture. And that's the other thing - many of the things I saw here, I felt like I could buy, and also afford. The prices of the things here are superb, considering how overpriced some other antique shops tend to be that they normally collect dust. Not here. So if you're looking for pieces of furniture to add character to your room, be sure to stop here in downtown Plano. It's quite a find.

Mecox fits the bill! They are pricey but I dare you to find any of their inventory anywhere else. Everything is unique and of high quality. I love the idea that the items we bought are rare and won't be seen in every transitional DFW home. Furthermore, the "Cheers" atmosphere is unmatched in the area. David is one of the most talented and genuine human beings in retail. All the staff is truly wonderful, however, I feel like I not only found a great place to shop but also a friend in him. He makes spending $2k on a lamp or $3500 on a chair feel good! Lol. You will never regret your purchase here-they even have a 24 hr try period where you can use your credit card to reserve a piece, take it home, make sure it suits the room, and decide if you want to keep it or return it. We will always start here for any future decor or furniture needs!

I contacted the shop hoping for a reasonable resolution or at least a price adjustment to reflect the incomplete condition of the pieces. Unfortunately, they refused to make any adjustment or take responsibility for the missing parts. When purchasing antiques, especially at antique prices, you rely on the seller to accurately represent the condition and completeness of what you're buying. I understand that antique pieces can have age-related imperfections, but missing components are something a buyer should be made aware of before the sale. I would strongly recommend that anyone purchasing from this shop inspect every piece very carefully and confirm that all components are present before paying. My experience with their handling of the issue after the sale was extremely disappointing.

Hello everyone in McKinney,Texas…read more I just wanted to say that any time I come to McKinney town, the Menagerie Antiques Furniture store I love it. They have so many different antiques and nice stuff, with new things coming in every week. The store looks clean and organized which makes it very easy to shop. Karen Davis, the Ladies who greeted us, gave us a warm welcome with friendly smile. She was really a big help, polite, and gave us fair prices. No mater how picky one can be, there's no way you would leave the store without purchasing something. I haven't met the owner, but he or she should definitely give Karen a raise. Without her, I don't think the business would be as successful as it is. I went to a lot of antique shops furniture and nothing compares to this one, All my friends agree. It's a beautiful store with an employee that's a very hard worker, friendly, and cares a lot for the customer. Anyway! I just wanted to share with everyone my experience. If you have a chance to stop by the store, please do so, you won't regret it. Again, Thanks Karen for a Beautiful Japanese Kabuto Helmet Asian Antiques, my Husband and I love it, miss you and your lovely daughter, hope to see you again soon. Olivia/Mama Mai

I LOVE shopping here and Jimmy rectified Matthew's past mistakes so all is good! GREAT deals here too! I just had a very bad experience with them. I will preface and say I have dealt with Jimmy here in the past and he's wonderful. I spent entirely too much money in a day and for the most part got good deals. But, I came back here recently and amongst all the things purchased, one of the items was a vase. He (Matthew) didn't bother telling me things were "final sale" or I would have asked to see if it actually held water. Now, they won't even exchange the item. There are no visible cracks on it - it really is a beautiful vase but this is just awesome I spent $50 on something that will be going in the trash. It's useless at this point. The worst part, is when I called to tell him what happened, he pretty much accused me of breaking it. Why would I break my own vase that I just purchased? It looks brand new - it just doesn't hold water so clearly there's a crack somewhere. Just making everyone is aware of the "buyer beware" thing they have going on that they FAIL to tell people about prior to purchase. Clearly they don't value a customer that has spent $3000 in 2 months there. You would think that Matthew, who was the salesperson and also the manager, would have better people skills as well versus acting like a child on the phone.
