Staff was friendly, and service was on a timely manner. Check ins were frequent and server made us feel comfortable. Comfortable enough for us to not complain about how the food was mid, and lacking seasoning. The food tasted very bland and mediocre. Crab station has better boils. Just across the freeway. (LITERAL 4 Minutes Apart) Other than that the service is why I'm giving this location 3 stars. read more

The atmosphere was good. They had good TVs on for watching sports. I had to start with the positive parts. The service was decent given they had only 1 server due to the current situation. The food however was less than forgivable. The Cajun pasta was ok. The gumbo was pretty soggy and had nothing to chew on. The fish was just ok, just ok. Unless you're there just to drink and watch TV, you could find better food elsewhere nearby. read more

I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted this place to be good, because there really are no good seafood places near alliance town center....but it fell with great disappointment. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and oysters on the half shell 1/2 dozen, and because we wanted to try everything that this place had, we also order the VIP which was a whopping 59 dollars for 1 pound snow crap, 1 pound of shrimp, and 1 pound of sausage. Plus we got extra potatoes and corn. We chose cajun seasoning, because well that seemed it would be best, but it was soooooo over seasoned. Our first bag if seafood came like warm, so obviously ko t was previously frozen, and then boiled to the not so correct temperature. So we sent it back, the manager came back, with the same batch we had already eaten off of, there was still a potato with a bite out of it and corn. In doing this, just re-heating or re-boiling, I'm not really sure, the shrimp came back the second time and were so overcooked. The best thing about this place, and the reason for me giving a star at all is the amazing handwash station! I want one for my home! Lol read more

I've been watching the construction of Shell Shack for a couple months now and waiting for them to open. I came by before their lunch opening hours and gave them a try. The hospitality is 5 stars! Immediately the staff was welcoming and the food is amazing! read more

This is not what we had hoped. The atmosphere is open & loud. In our experience, the prices are high for a plastic apron, restaurant, independent of quality. The view of the meadow out the back is beautiful, but I'm not sure we'll go back again. read more

Love this Shell Shack! The Manager Andy, even offered my Mother In Law a Free Margarita made personally by him (He used to be a Bartender) bc she wanted the Perfect Margarita, and she saId it definitely was amazing! The Oysters were very Fresh and Cold, the Snow Crab and Shrimp Boil we had was Great! We did Kitchen Sink Seasoning Medium Hot and it was Perfect. The corn is my favorite. Kelsey our waitress was nice and on top of our drinks. Definitely will be back soon!! Took the picture after we had devoured 75% of it lol read more

Shell Shack - Snow Crab and Shrimp - Seafood Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Every since my first few experiences at Shell Shack in Dallas I've been hooked so needless to say when I heard they were building a location in the heritage area I was super excited. So I've eaten at this location few few times this one happened to be when me an the wife were having lunch. We shared the chicken wings which what you'd expect nothing fancy or different just good. I had the crawfish with this kitchen sink which were fabulous an I couldn't have been happier the flavor was great an they were cooked to perfection. My wife had the snow crab an while she felt they were a little over cooked she still enjoyed them. So why only 3 stars you say well I work in the area an often try to call in pick up orders for me an coworkers almost every single time you get put on hold an no one ever picks back up. I often attribute this to maybe their are super busy but having had lunch during peak times for lunch multiple times that is not the case they just completely blow you off. This place is a ghost town during lunch An there's no reason for this type service. No doubt I will probably still come here in the near future but I rave about this place an for me to have to tell people we can't eat here cause they aren't picking up the phone is just a downer for a location with so much promise. Hopefully this location will get it together cause we need a place like this in this area but the locals will absolutely ignore it if these small problems aren't. Fixed read more

In my first review, I erred and said LOBSTER, when I meant crab. Surely if the owner had looked at the photos I included with the review, he would have known I made a slight error, and would not have insultingly inferred that I went to another restaurant altogether in his reply. read more

The salmon dinner was terrible. More like a TV dinner. No taste or seasonings. The restaurant was playing a R rated movie with sex scenes. Not good to have children there. read more

This place is awesome. Best service and great atmosphere! The alligator is the best I've have. Not chewy at all. It was very soft and juicy. The spice flavors are good but you need to order one or two levels above what you would normally order in heat level. (But that's me. I like the burn) read more

Shell Shack - Dad and daughter eating crawfish. I do diablo and she does medium. - Seafood Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

I would like to tell you about my experience at the Shell Shack on Heritage Trace. Our server was Zeke, seemed nice enough.....until he opened his mouth. We were in the mood for seafood and thought, why not try this place. When we placed our order, Zeke asked us if we knew how much it cost. And then mentioned that it was the most expensive thing on menu. I'm assuming he thought we couldn't afford it. We stated we were sure and we ordered our drinks. He asked if we wanted the bill divided into 3, at which we said no. It was so uncomfortable being asked all these questions. The three of us are regular people and were dressed casual. Every time he came by, Zeke, kept bringing the price and amount of money up. Asking us if we had ever eaten crab boil, making us more uncomfortable. I asked him for to-go box 3 times, Zeke didn't offer drink refills throughout the meal. When he finally brought the box, he made another comment about the amount of food. Then we didn't see Zeke again. We called over to another server and she helped us bag our leftovers, Ambi (sorry if spelled wrong), was great. On a side not they advertise Coke products but served us Pepsi products. We know we all taste the difference, who are they trying to fool. I ordered an Adult Strawberry Lemonade that tasted like Kool-Aid and cheap vodka. The food was so-so, suitable in a pinch. I would never recommend this place because our experience with Zeke. The other servers were rolling and moving, keeping their tables happy. read more

You'd think with the amount of money invested in this location the owners would know how to staff the kitchen. If there is a restaurant with more inept service I'd be hard pressed to believe It Only the good looking middle aged bartender knows what she's doing Food quality has declined since the opening Since the owner responded I feel compelled to say I will go back as it's a good atmosphere and no other seafood options are available I didn't mean to be mean spirited but the place has a real opportunity to thrive . Chalk it up to growing pains read more

Though this place was good. Went during a severe storm and everyone had to hide in the beer cooler! So that was fun and social. Will continue to work my way through the menu. All good so far. read more

First time here. Walked in and at first glance the place is clean and the AC is working full blast!!!!! Ordered the chicken wings, VIP and the King Crab. The seasoning is very good but very messy. I enjoy my first visit to Shell Shack Fort Worth. The service was great and our server took the time to explain the menu and how the boil options work. The food was very timely coming out and the taste was impeccable. I enjoyed all the seasonings that made for great flavor. I had a pound of grilled shrimp and they were amazing. Waited 35min to be seated, place was not even that busy, about 8 or so tables of customers --after being seated our waitress was rather rude. To take our order, she pulled out an old wrinkled up napkin from her pocket, and flattened on our table. Took our drink orders and left, leaving the napkin. Returned 5-10min after with drinks , left an additional time, and came back 10 min later to take our order. When our food arrived, she put the platters down then tried to open the bags the food came in for us which I stopped her and said I'd do it myself. I said we needed utensils and After that, she said "I'll be back" . 20 minutes went by, she never returned and we prompted another server after they finished at a neighboring table to ask for silverware and utensils and instead of just grabbing some he pointed at the name on our table and said "oh I'll let her know" which he never did and went on with his business. During all this we watched our waitress go and wait on other tables besides ours, we tried to prompt her and she kept walking, not even once walking by our table or acknowledging that we were sitting and not touching our food. 45 minutes later, still nothing, forks, spoons, disposing bins, not even a single napkin, nothing. At this point, we talked to the host and he said he "oh okay" 10 minutes later he walks out with "freshly washed" utensils saying "we had to wait for them to be washed, they are wet but I swear they are clean" as he stood there drying them with a dish rag-- it was unacceptable. Besides the fact he tried to blow our concerns under the table instead of asking what could be done to help remediate the situation--I really liked how he explained that we could take the food home to eat but he himself "did not like reheating seafood because it didn't taste good and could go bad". Literally a waste of 1.5hrs and waste of time and our money. Service was terrible. Unprofessional staff. The napkin situation, highly unsanitary. Overall just terrible experience. We won't be returning to any location this company has. read more

We went on a Sunday afternoon. It took over an hour to get our food and the place only had about 5 tables seated. They didn't have shrimp to go in the bloody mary like it advertised. The waiter came out after about 45 minutes and said that they had just gotten to our order and they were out of pasta. We ordered the Maui-maui and it was dry, over-cooked, with no flavor. The rice was dry white rice with no seasoning. We will never go back. read more

Glad their is one closer to home... we waited 45 min to be seated but it was worth the wait

The people were friendly, but not very attentive. I ordered 1lb of king crab, and received 4 legs. I paid $40 for almost warm crab, two cold potatoes, and one cold corn. The seasoning was not very hot. If you're wanting spice, perhaps the diablo spice level is better. read more

I don't how this place has 3 stars. It's a SOLID 5 stars. From the service to the food. We almost didn't come here because of the reviews and I am glad I did decided to come anyway. Our server JB was awesome. He deserves a raise. Don't read these other reviews. This places food and service is bomb. That's all I got read more

The food was fantastic. My husband and I shared the crab stuffed tater tots and a VIP boil ordered Cajun-medium heat. All of it was delicious and definitely enough food for both of us. The hurricane shack drinks were also very good. Meredith was a good server and was attentive enough for our needs without being overbearing. Ambiance is great. Music wasn't too loud and the roll up door was open to the patio. We will definitely be coming back! read more

I ordered the vip and they forgot to put my clusters of crab in the bag it only had shrimp and the other stuff like HOW DO YOU FORGET THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE BOIL BRO. I was so pissed that I didn't notice until I got in my car because I kept double checking the receipt to see if I ordered the wrong thing and NO it mentions "once you walk out we're not responsible for any missing food" or something along those lines. I was livid because I had already paid and that's such a weird statement to put on the receipt as if this has happened before. Totally insane and unacceptable. read more

Food was good but don't get Catherine or Kat as your server!! She is beyond rude and we had to wait an abnormally long time just for an appetizer. She didn't even give us an update while we were waiting as to why it was taking so long. All in all ok food , terrible service. read more

I came here late one night, I always go to the Shell shack all over the metroplex. This one was a little different. I always eat kitchen sink, and their kitchen sink was horrible. It smelled old. This is going to be a rough one! We were excited to try this place because we have never been, there is a location closer to where we live so we will go check that one out but most likely not going back to this location. I'm going to chalk it up to just a busy, bad day. Service was slow from the very get go, drink order mistake, no biggie. But then waiting almost an hour and 45 min before we got our food. We took a look around and noticed other tables were looking just as frustrated. I'm giving this a 2 star review because there was absolutely no communication stating oh I'm sorry things are running behind or oh can I get you something while you wait. But then we got our food.. beautiful presentation! But no seasoning on the fries, burger was as hard as hockey puck, with mushy produce on it. A whole order was forgotten and it took another long while before it came out once it was known there was something missed. The seafood was awesome tho and our dad really dug in! It could have been a short staffed day I don't know but there were many opportunities missed for communicating that. read more

High prices (expected), but they doused the crab legs and crawfish in a sauce that wasn't very tasty. It was labeled as "seasoning," but was a sauce. Made the crawfish and crab a lot messier and harder to eat. Crawfish weren't purged. Good drinks and wonderful service, though. read more

I got ripped off. I order two servings of the gator tenders and received gator balls. The meat was smaller than my finger tips. Of course I had to eat it, because I was starving, and I wasn't going to drive back for another 20 minutes to get another plate. After tipping ten dollars for a $25 meal, I would have expected more. When I called back they told me to come and bring it back, fat chance. You only get one time to rip me off. Do not....I repeat, do not go there for take out! You suck Crab Shack ! read more

Loved this little place. The food was good. The atmosphere and staff were friendly. They brought us a big platter of seafood- crab was easy to peel (crazy easy) & that made it more enjoyable. I enjoyed it and will be back. read more
