I love Cajun and I love Creole. And I've been to NOLA often. Let's also clarify that Razzoo's is a franchise. But certain things one can reasonably expect from "Cajun", little things like coffee. I expected Community Coffee, a NOLA staple. Instead I got a cup of instant Folgers. No shrimp-n-grits? And the gumbo was way too thin and just not what I expected. So I will say the bread pudding was good, and YMMV. I'd say it's okay for a quick bite but not truly authentic Cajun. read more

We noticed this spot when looking for somewhere with crab cakes. Instead, we noticed crawfish cakes and knew we wanted to give them a try. We placed an order for take out, and they were ready when stated. I didn't get a lot of crawfish taste inside the cakes, it came from the crawfish in the sauce to go on top of the cakes. The cakes were flavorful, though, nice cajun flavor. I look forward to coming back to trying more dishes, as their menu looks great! read more

We wanted to like this so badly. I haven't been to a Razzoos for many years and we finally gave it a shot in a Friday night. Honestly the fact that it was half full should have been a clue. Of course the decor inside is pretty much the same as it's always been. We felt like we were in the bayou. The servers and staff were awesome! Very attentive and friendly. Their customer service is the reason for getting 3 instead of 2 . Now to the food. Overall just disappointing. We had fried fish, shrimp and I had fried crawfish on my combo. The cook was fine and came out hot. Almost NO flavor though. Seasoning goes a long way. We didn't taste any seasoning on any of the fried food. The hush puppies were good though. I just wish Renato would pay a little more attention to even the smallest amount of seasonings. I won't come back though. read more

You know, I rarely write a fully negative review. And to be fair, I'm not reviewing the food....because we never got any. The menu online looked fantastic and Cajun is some of my favorite cuisine, so I was excited as well pulled up for lunch. They had just opened so it wasn't crowded at all! It was an absolutely beautiful day so we were stoked to sit outside near the green space. So when the hostess wanted to seat us by the parking lot, we asked if we could move a few tables down to be a little further from the hustle and bustle of the busy strip center and a little closer to to green space. "Uhhhhh, well how far - because we have sections?' OK - not the best first impression, but I get keeping things fair for the wait staff. She moved us a few tables away from the parking lot and I started looking over the menu as my wife went to the restroom. She returned and we continued to wait for a server (while someone seated in apparently the other section, had a very attentive young lady waiting on her.) We waited....and waited...and waited. All the while watching the only other person seated outside being well cared for - and seeing another outdoor venue across the way. The promise of good Cajun amid some great zydeco playing on the patio wasn't enough to keep us there. We stepped back into the waiting area as the hostess turned her back and walked away. Clearly a good decision on our part. As we got in the car to go to The Truck Yard (review to come), my wife told me how dirty the women's restroom was...less than 30 minutes after opening. (She didn't tell me sooner because she knows how much I adore good Cajun food.) So we're giving up on Razzoo's. If you find yourself there and in a similar circumstance wanting a similar lunch vibe - swing across the way to The Truck Yard. You'll love it. read more

Razzoo's was terrific. We went Wednesday afternoon on April 29th. The greeting from the start was so inviting by the young man. We set in the bar area and the bartender/waiter was great. The young lady was so attentive and professional. My wife and I were so impressed by her service and to top it off the food was great. Came for the BOGO special on Crawfish day. Great deal, delicious food but they stopped serving with the corn and potatoes, i believe those cost extra now. The crawfish were okay size, not select yet, mostly field run. Got 6 pounds for lunch. The oysters were huge, one oyster is like 4 in one. Decided to come back for dinner, but they ran out of crawfish by 5pm, very sad not all day BOGO as advertised. Disappointment but I still like the pricing will come back during crawfish season. Service was great, the front desk hostess kinda clueless though. Tried asking her questions about the menu and deals and she said to wait for waitress since she didn't know anything. read more

Slow Friday night and was able to sit on the patio. Destiny was very attentive and has a great friendly attitude! Fried pickles came out piping hot and fresh! We had the ribs and added corn on the cob. Perfect as always. Destiny did an amazing job keeping our drinks filled and making sure we had everything we needed. Seated quickly. Ashley took very good care of me and has a great personality. The strawberry lemonade was very good, and I appreciate the glass it was served in. The cajun tricky fish was served hot. It had a lot of very small crawfish in the etouffee that was poured over it. The blackened fish was cooked just right, and I really enjoyed the spices. The green beans had a lot of very small onions and almost a butter like rue with it. I really enjoyed it also. An absolutely pathetic dining experience on July 6th around 7:00pm, Jibreel was our server, forgot to get the name of the manager. Had to request lemons twice for our tea, not that big a deal. Dinner arrives and I had ordered Blackened Chicken Poboy, but they brought fish , let them know that's not what I ordered so they took it away. Server popped by about 25 minutes later mumbled something and rushed off never came back to our table. Everyone else finished their meals I called the manager over to get a to-go box for my grandson and tell him to take my meal off the ticket, his response was "oh, do you still want us to remake your sandwich, we'll no I've been waiting 40 minutes at that point. So the manager knew there was an issue and didn't bother to over on his own or to rectify the situation in a timely manner. Both need to find other jobs! Razzos has great cajun meals. Anything you order will be good. I wanted to be adventurous so I ordered fried food this time around. I got the spicy chicken wings which I shared with my friend and the shrimp and catfish basket. Everything was absolutely delicious! The shrimp was the best part because it was fried perfectly. Now the wings were so so good. They are lightly breaded and seasoned with a medium cajun seasoning. It does come with ranch but I like blue cheese dressing so I got that and it was DELICIOUS! The only downside of things was our wait time. We came on Saturday evening and had to wait for 20 minutes for a table for 2. Make sure you arrive early so you can get a table quickly but the establishment is adhering to social distancing protocols so they want to ensure everyone is safe. Got a text this morning about $9.99 BOGO crawfish and $5 Hurricane. I could not wait to finish work to grab some. I intended on ordering for pickup and grabbing a drink while I waited. Called, placed my order and was asked if I wanted to add a Hurricane. That was fate since that was the plan anyways. I add 2. My order was higher than expected but I paid the total over the phone. Made it to grab the order and asked for an itemized receipt but was told she had to ask the manager. I received my food but was missing my drinks. I mention it to the hostess but was informed I needed to grab the drink from the bar. I went to the bar but the bartender asked me for my receipt, which I never got. Also she informed me I was charged $10 per Hurricane instead of $5 because I ordered for pickup....... This would have been nice to know beforehand. The bartender was really kind though!! Overall, I wasn't upset but felt a little misled. Still was excited to get home to my crawfish. I thought to check my food but figured how could you mess up crawfish and a catfish poyboy? Razoos has let me down ya'll. They used to be my fav with regard to generous portions and great food. I wish I had taken a pic- portions were TINY. Dirty rice came out in like a tablespoons worth and was cold. Tiny piece of fish for the fish/shrimp platter. The final straw was the bill/coupon drama though. I had their coupon for BOGO entree. My daughter wasn't hungry so got a side salad. Instead of taking off my entree, they took the side salad off. I even asked for the manager and he would not budge. The bartender was amazing he was friendly and resourceful. We started with rat toes. I had been wanting those for a while. They were just as I imagine. I didn't get a photo I demolished them so quickly. We afterward order our food. My husband ordered a fish basket which he didn't like. It was bland he wasn't sure if it was real catfish. I ordered the stuffed shrimp which I wasn't impressed with it at all. Definitely missing the Cajun. I'm a Louisiana native looking for that taste. Terrible service. Spoke to Jeff, manager on shift and it was like he didn't even give a damn. Came in to place an order to go and two Razzoo employees were at the host station including Jeff when I walked in. Jeff turned and walked away as I was approaching him. No one greeted as I was standing there, I then asked the lady where can I place my order to go. She directed me to the bar, I sat at the bar. Lady was barely busy and was working around me and helping others but refused to help me. I asked Jeff when he walked by what's the protocol to order take out. I came here for a quick lunch with my coworker and we both wanted some fried fish. Upon our surprise they had a crab cake appetizer on special so we got it too. Let me tell you! That crab cake was so good I was mad I agreed to share with my coworker. I needed it all to myself. It was full of crab and perfectly seasoned and had very little binder or fillers. Just enough to keep the shape really. It was moist and the remolaude sauce gave it that tang that seafood loves. Now for the catfish. I always enjoy the catfish here because it isn't over fried and the batter is seasoned. Only thing is they need malt vinegar at this location. So, I used hot sauce instead. We decided to order Razzoos for pick up tonight. It was a good reminder that we need to eat in the restaurant if we want the food to be good. The way they packed the food made no sense- they put the two lightest boxes on bottom and the heaviest box on top. So because it was too heavy, it tipped over on the way home and half of the etoufee spilled. All of the food was cold when we got home. We had about a 10 minute drive home, so it is to be expected that it wouldn't be piping hot, but it was literally cold. And I felt that the kids meal was overpriced for the amount of food we got. I felt the food was overall tasty, but it just isn't what it used to be and costs way more. I probably would've rated this a 4 if we would've eaten it there. read more

Super good!! I topped it off by ordering the peach & pecan bread pudding to go. I had half of it eaten before I left the restaurant. It too is good. I've been to the Razzoo's downtown Ft Worth and thought it was ok. At this location, the food was on point. First time at this location & I will definitely return.
