    Steak
    Doug G.

Day 3 of their grand opening. Staffed up to meet the need. Place is packed out. You can tell we needed a steak place locally. Not bad for just opening. My wife's steak was a little rare for my wife. I had the 16 ounce sirloin with a ceaser salad and potato. I enjoyed my meal. We will be back for sure.

I essentially lived at Wicked Butcher this week while staying at the Sinclair Hotel, eating here…read moretwice, and it absolutely delivered on every level. The swank, Art Deco atmosphere matches the hotel perfectly, but the food is the real star. For lunch, the Wicked Burger was phenomenal. Built with cheddar, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on a toasted sesame brioche bun, it hits every savory note perfectly. The rest of the table was equally thrilled with their choices, including the French Dip (loaded with caramelized onions, provolone, and horseradish-garlic aioli on a baguette with a stellar au jus) and the crisp Steak Cobb salad. The truffle fries were a massive hit and a frequent topic of conversation around the table, and even the fountain Diet Coke was perfectly calibrated. I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention the monster rolls brought out for the table--they are giant, incredibly airy, golden popovers served with a spectacular rosemary honey butter that steals the show before the main course even arrives. For breakfast, I wanted to stay on the healthier side and ordered the Sinclair Breakfast with chicken sausage. The sausage delivered incredible flavor with a perfect, distinct peppery bite. The plate was beautifully balanced with delicate microgreens, and the breakfast potatoes were a total standout--perfectly executed with a great outer char and deep flavor. Paired with excellent, robust Lavazza drip coffee, it was a flawless start to the morning. Across both visits, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and highly attentive with beverage refills. Top-tier service, great quality, and an absolute must-visit in Fort Worth.

We ordered the bone-in ribeye with wicked sauce (their own made version sauce of steak sauce, amazing!), pasta bolognese, potatoes, and the cauliflower. We tried the banana pudding for dessert. Made just right, and wasn't overly sweet. For drinks, we did the espresso martini and their version of the aperol spritz. The vibe and the ambience were dim, but not dark. Good for a night date night or dinner with good friends.

None of our meals disappointed us and we left very satisfied by the experience. Memories for a lifetime! However, I find the food to be quite a let down, not worth the price. I had the sourdough and it was good. I had the steak and fries for the main course with the upgrade cuts of steak. The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

We ended the meal with a Crème Brûlée. The portions were generous! I highly recommend Capital Grill -

Matt our excellent server has a great sense of humor and welcoming personality. So much that we had to chat with the Manager, Bobby about him. The rib eyed steak - medium rare was scrumptious and the sides: mushrooms, baked potatoes & green beans cooked perfectly. Compliments to their chef/s! With what's happening in the world, the steaks are a little bit on the *ozempic thinner side but we still highly recommend because of the quality. I also tried the smothered chicken, just as good. And dessert?! Peach cobbler with a snickerdoodle cookie crust... hands down the best I've ever had. No notes. Shoutout to our waitress Heather, she was so sweet, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The manager Chris also came by a few times to check on us, which I really appreciated. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be back and telling everyone about this place!
