Worst gas station ever. I will never give them another dime. They had dollar off pack cigarettes but would only sell me two packs. What difference does it make who buys them. I put .75 in for water to add to the concentrated windshield washer fluid they sold me but it would work. When went into see the same very rude cashier she said it isn't their machine then proceeded to be very rude to me when I wanted my money back. She said I can't give you a refund we don't own the machine. She said I've told the guy who owns it many times it doesn't work. I said why don't you put a sign on it? She said ya go ahead and do that. This is my local station I've been going to for 25 years. I will never spend another penny here even though She'll is the best gas. Terrible service. I waited for 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged that I was there. Then when Bill came in he ignored me. I had to ask him if he could help me get in line to get a smog check. He was rude from the time I walked in to when I left. Today they lost a customer! read more

Just happened. A guy/sales person from this shell was going around our residential area and advertised their promotions going on. He rang the bell and I opened the door. He showed me the pamphlet that has all promotions so I thought I could keep it and come back later time after looking at the pamphlet more in detail. But he just explained everything really, super fast and requested to pay certain amount (don't remember). Pay for what???? Pamphlet? Or what? Don't get it. I have been a customer of this establishment for the last 9 years. They have changed hands multiple times. Gone through various mechanics. Today they just lost me as a customer. The person was so rude and basically told me to find somewhere else to go... I was trying to go in for a oil change and he said they had stopped taking appointments and it is only first come first served. My power steering went out on my 2001 Honda Civic over the weekend, and when my AAA guy showed up from Irvine Towing (also awesome), he recommended the Shell station, saying he knew and liked them. I was skeptical, but I literally only have good things to say about the level of service and professionalism I received. I came in at 9am as an unexpected customer and I had to work at 10am, they went out of their way to drive me to work and called me twice during the day, once to give me three options for repairs and next to tell me at 5pm that my repair was complete. Considering that I just showed up at their door that morning and they had to pick up a special part from the Honda dealership, I was surprised at their sense of urgency and care. Looking over my paperwork, the repair cost was largely the cost of the part itself; they didn't over-charge me. They didn't try to over-sell me either. They provided options and explained each of those options so I could make the best decision for my budget. The best part was finding out they could work around my work schedule and told me I could pay my bill and pick up my keys whenever I'd like at the adjoined 24hr Shell gas station. My car purrs. The gas station service manager is a liar and they done a poor job by changing my headlight bulb which goes bad in less than 3 months and when I complained to him he acted like I'm telling him a story. I'll never go there. The service manager is a very rude person. read more

Found two nails in my new tires and my dealership and BigO told me I have to get it replaced for nearly $250! Found this service station based on Yelp review and Sal and Jeff were able to remove the nails and seal up the tire. I was a bit skeptical about the place but while I was waiting, encountered other customers that are regulars to Jeff over the years. Got my tire fixed for $20 a patch to have money left for the holidays. Thanks guys. read more

Went to this gas station on Wed to check my tire air pressure. Mike the mechanic was super nice- so when I got a flat on Sun night, I brought the car to him on Monday. He checked the tire- stem needed to be replaced- luckily the tire was ok so it didn't need to be replaced. The funny thing was that the spare tire was flat- but i was close to home and was able to drive on the low air, but it was a funny coincidence that the spare tire was flat- so note to self, check spare tire when the oil gets changed! read more

Amazing experience! My tail lights were out when all other lights were working perfectly. I tried to change the bulbs at home, but they were still not working. Come here to have them checked. The guy helped me check all the light and changed the fuse. Now they are all good. And they didnt charge me at all. Love this place. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. So I inherited an old Chevy Suburban (1997) that in my opinion was not in all that great of shape and was hesitant to take it to a dealer to get it checked out. My intent is to get it in good working order and sell it. So I called a trusted friend and he pointed me to a service station that I had never considered yet is literally walking distance from my house. Long story short, I had the best experience I could have asked for and will tell anyone who asks that if you need help and don't know where to turn, Jeff at the Irvine Shell (Trabuco and Culver), is an angel disguised as a grease monkey. He and his team had that truck in top working order in a day! It runs better than can be expected and he said it is running so well that it is surprising it has 133K miles on it. I usually don't write reviews - but after this visiting this place - I had to. It is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had and really is almost a scam. I went here just for a standard smog check and the service was terrible - they do not even provide a free re-test like almost any other place. They also charged unnecessary fees that I found that other places did not charge. I recommend staying away from this place at any cost. read more

We had driven down to SoCal for a convention when the stem of our tire decided to fail. Irvine shell service was the closest and the one available to where we were staying. We got immediate service though there were other vehicles being worked on. The staff was friendly and the best thing was that it wasn't as expensive as we thought it would be. I looked up the on-line responses for this Shell Service Station and the 76 Service Station located on the corner of Irvine and Culver Boulevards, which is located in close proximity to me. The 76 ratings were horrible and the Shell ratings were good, so I went to Shell. The air pressure in one tire was very low. It turns out I had a gash in one tire and a nail. There was talk about replacing the tire, but Jeff, Manager, came out and said to just plug the leak. The whole process from entering the station to leaving the station took 5 minutes. The total charge was $20.00. I highly recommend this gas station. Old fashion honesty and responsibility awaits you. read more

I went here to get gas and swiped my card. Then noticed that the security tape had been tampered with. On the tape it says, "notify the cashier if the tape has been tampered with." The tape is there to deter criminals from using skimming machines to steal your credit card information. I walked into the store and notified the cashier and she didn't acknowledge what I said. Instead she asked me for my identification because I was trying to buy gas with my card. I provided my id and I asked her if she heard what I had told her. Her response was "Yeah, I heard you." In an unfriendly way. She seemed young but old enough to know better. I was expecting "thank you for bringing that our attention". I've been coming here for 6 years but now I may go elsewhere. I hope the management sees this review and provides her with customer service training. Now i have to cancel my credit card due to possibility the pump was tampered with. read more

This place was a lifesaver. Mike the Mechanic was very knowledgeable and helpful. My sons car failed his smog check. We took his car to a tire/auto station in Tustin for a diagnosis. We were shocked to hear it would cost $1200 to get the car to a point where it hopefully would pass the smog check. Well needless to say that didn't sit well with us. Then I found out about the Irvine Shell station on Trabuco through AAA. They were an approved station that offered diagnostic services. We talked to Mike the Mechanic who was kind enough to wait for us after his shift was over to look at the diagnostic test from the previous station. He was confident they could fix the car for less than $1200. Long story short.....we drove off with a smog cert and paying only $260 to fix the car......almost $1000 less than the other place. I will definitely be bringing our cars here for service. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics.......we found one. Thank you Shell Station!!!! read more

we have brang our car to jeff for repairs on our older mustang and let me say one thing that is the best you drop your car off and you get it back quick, we had ares in for 4 0r 5 different issues and not for the same thing and they dont goof around they do get the job done and done wright i m letting all that i know to go there i have been in the auto bussiness over 25 years and this is where i will take mycar to from now on, and just fixed one of our kids car same thing in and out great job and saved the kid a few bucks, he really likes his customers to be happy when they are in need, thanks again jeff and to your crew also who are very good to us , john and debbie,2002 mustang convertible, and thanks from alex honda civic read more
