I bought a used car. I wanted to smog it and I saw they ad smog check $34.99 + $8 dollar for certificate and I want to the station. I agreed by Mike and I told him I bought this car. I want to smog it. He took me to office and got all information and give to the technician after 20 minute later technician come back and he said your car didn't pass the test . my car have only 42,000 miles .and he asked me to did you change the battery I said no I didn't change the battery. I drove my car for almost 3 hours he said go drive in the freeway and come back. I'm gonna smog it again. I asked him the retest is gonna be free because if didn't pass-smog check most up smart check garage when you fix the problem they will retest it for free .go to smog check store the retest it's free when you but not in Mike, garage . and he become rude and he said show me where they can do it for free. I can send my customer . Then I come home. I have an ad bring it back to the store, but unfortunately, he was not there and I told the other mechanic see this is the smog station. When's the last time you went to a mechanic and asked him to check all of your fluids , and when you asked him if you needed your coolant changed, he said not yet. Time of Event: 1/20/2021: 6:30AM. Name of employee: unknown. I drove up to the gas station to refill my car. No was on manning the cashier. The system took my Fuel Reward discount and took my credit card information and yet it was not fueling. I waited there for a few minutes and a guy finally showed up at the cashier. I asked him to check out what's happening and he told me the system is down. I told him if that's the case he should have put a sign up at the entrance, which wasted my $0.15/gal discount. Well, I'm off to filling up my tank at the other Shell stations (regular is usually at or around $4.19/gallon @ main and harvard station in Irvine, or jeronimo and Los alisos in Mission Viejo.) Yes, it's a drive from where I live (Jeffrey/Trabuco) but it weighs less on my conscious knowing I'm not shelling out (no pun intended) at that high a price. Just off the 5 and Culver, this station is very convenient for those driving on the 5 north, and a little trickier to find if you are driving on the 5 south. All the cars are supposed to be facing one way at the pump, so getting in and out can be a squeeze when it gets busy and at times you have to wait for others to fill up before you can move forward. The prices are on par with other places in the neighborhood - usually a little cheaper than Chevron on Culver & Irvine Blvd., and a little more expensive than Chevron on Culver & Walnut. They sell propane (they'll fill your tank or sell you a new one) for you grill (pay inside and they'll fill you up outside). They also sell snacks and necessities inside, but it's not an actual Kwik-E-Mart (head to Chevron at Culver & Irvine Blvd. for that). read more

They charged me extra $99.00 twice! I put my credit card inside the gas machine and it didn't work (no gas received from machine). Then I put my other credit card and purchased $30.00 worth of gas (received from the machine) and left. Nobody used the machine between my first credit card entry and the last accepted one. Then I realised I had 2 $99.00 payments (15 seconds apart from each) in my credit card statement. I returned back immediately and explained them the situation. They told me it happens from time to time but it will be refunded in 24 hours. It is 3 day now and it is not reverted back. I went there again and told them I want my money back. Once I complained about the gas he said we told him the wrong pump...which clearly was a lie. He said someone else pumped our gas and he repeated many times that's not his problem anymore. Walter in the service department was a pleasure to deal with. After walking out the door of Auto Check Center I brought my car here to get a smog service. He said he fit me in quickly and he did. Filing out the paperwork took longer than the actual smog check, which took 8-10 minutes. Both Walter and the people behind the counter were very friendly though. The cashier working at 11:20 AM on Tuesday Feb 24th lacked even the basic customer service skills and has questionable credibility. After purchasing $30 in gas, I asked for the restroom key, to which she replied, "I think someone's in there." So I stood in front of the bathroom. After 10 mins, I asked the guy in the little office if he had a key. He walked back into the cashier's are and grabbed the key.
