Such a weird experience lol…read more So my dad walks in and says "I want to do cash back" after grabbing a $1 item off their "sale rack"- just grabbing something to buy so he can do cash back (rather than paying an ATM fee). The workers say yes (to doing cash back) but you have to spend $2. I go to get a drink (to put it over the $2 amount) My dad paid with Apple Pay and said "there wasn't an option for cash back?" And the worker said "you have to insert your card for cash back" and a little surprised, my dad said "why didn't you tell me that before the purchase?" And the worker said "you didn't ask" Yet my dad was like "well the first words I said when I walked in here are "I need cash back" So then we ask to cancel / void the transaction and do a refund so he can insert the card and get cash back -- the only reason we came here. The worker said we can't do a refund on Apple Pay- you have to have used your card. Weird experience overall and then the worker starts arguing and pretty much yelling at us saying it's our fault and we didn't ask??? Def wont be returning to that weirdness lol But

That's long enough to get a good picture of their overall professionalism, work ethic, ability to multitask, keep store clean and stocked, more recently - they quickly 100% met Covid protocols, ... you get the picture. This store has never been a disappointment?! Some at the pharmacy have come to know me, ask about my family while the younger crew does not. Yet all provide friendly, accurate, patient service all the time. The store has an amazing selection and well stocked so you can honestly get grocery essentials, pick up a gift and wrapping, any OTC meds, RXs, and let's not forget the delicious ice cream - in one trip! What's not to love?!

The food was delicious and the two women serving the food were very nice. It was very nice not to have to go through all the trouble of making dinner. We were so grateful for their generosity and kindness during this special day. We have visited this station a few times this year, but we will be going to this station often in the future. Wait time for prescriptions can be very long. even hours. Granted the fault is sometimes the customer who doesn't have the insurance worked out or the doctor's office. The drive through is great only if you're the first or second car, but not necessarily so if they're understaffed at the time you're there. 2. Biggest complaint in addition to the wait times is that someone will call saying the prescription is ready but you get there, and it's not. 3. Not Walgreen's fault but there are often homeless people hanging around the premises and sometimes panhandling. Also be aware that when the Tustin Brewery or other businesses across Newport Blvd. have no parking, people will park at Walgreens and walk across the street. Parking is better now that they've taken away the EV charging stations.

Today, one of the pharmacists called me on the phone to verify about the two Meningitis vaccines I…read moreplan on taking. I told him that due to some scheduling conflicts, I had no choice but to reschedule the appointment at around 6 pm, but the pharmacist told me that I can come in at any time today to get the vaccine. I thanked him for the reassurance and I went here to get Meningitis ACWY and B versions. I wanted to take these two vaccines again because of the recent Meningitis B outbreak in England, and I didn't want to get Meningitis from someone who was recently in the UK. I don't want to sound rude or insensitive in any way, but I would rather be vaccinated than getting Meningitis. The pharmacist Jason was really gentle with me and he was really good at talking to me and calming me down. He didn't take too long to prepare the vaccines. I also told him about my COVID vaccine nightmare that happened to me over the weekend. I was bedridden and nauseous AF. I threw up several times at home. Jason asked me if the illness went away the next day and I told him that I fully recovered. He was really glad. I also told Jason that I read that people with a history of headache disorders are more likely to get the rare side-effects of the COVID vaccine. He told me that's likely possible. I told him that when I was 18, I was sexually exploited and the trauma of it has caused me to develop tension headaches. He told me that he was really sorry to hear what happened to me. He pinched my shoulder and then shook it to lessen the pain from the vaccines. It was worth it. He also used a single band-aid and put it vertically.

A couple of days ago, I picked up a script that the tech insisted was a narcotic... it was definitely not. Very concerning that a pharmacy technician doesn't know their drug classes. And today, I saw a tech pour a bottle of pills directly into her bare hands--not a glove in sight. Clearly there are employees here that don't know anything about the drugs they are handling; that's not who I want to fill my medications or advise me if I have questions.
