Not sure really what to say or exactly how to start this but all I can say, you won't be mad if you end up here, whether it be on purpose or by accident much like I did. Much like the semi-sad and drab interior of the restaurant, my interaction with the staff matched the same description but direct and to the point is fine by me. Got the chicken shawarma wrap and man it was good especially the Dijon sauce thing it had. Decently priced and filling. Pin the tail on the donkey and wander in for a try.

Overpriced . Severely. Not just the food, but also random "custom fee " 2.69 and additional fees for using a card on top of all of it. $70 for 4 wraps and 2 fries. Wraps are nothing to write home about. You see all the places they cut corners in the front, I don't want to know how they cut corners in the kitchen. Made a bad call last night.

First time here. Came after the gym and got the chicken plate with extra chicken. Perfect post-workout meal. Chicken was juicy and very flavorful. I would definitely come again!

Wow... 5 star well deserved. I would give them a 6 if I could. The food was so tasty hot and amazing. Their prices are such a good deal and the servings fill me up. I'm telling my friends for sure. I'm out in Vegas but will always stop by when in town. See you next month. Save me a seat!

Walked in, no one was behind the counter... a lone gentleman was sitting at the counter enjoying his meal. Had to yell out for some assistance... shortly after we were greeted with smiles from another gentleman and a woman. They were very nice, adlnd walked us through their menu since it was our first time. Will admit I was a little put off by watching the man combine old hummus with that appeared to be a new batch. He also did the same with some sauces that were put on our sandwiches. My son opted for the chicken shwarma sandwich, while I opted for a falafel sandwich. The lovely lady behind the counter suggested we have the lahmajun (pardon my spelling) which was delicious. The sandwiches were good, but had so much sauce on them very little else could be tasted. It seemed as though both of our sandwiches were prepared exactly the same except for the chicken vs falafel. Most of what I tasted in my sandwich was what tasted like watery hummus. Thank God we like hummus... Overall a decent experience, but I have definitely had better falafel sandwiches elsewhere. My son said his sandwich was good but next time he will ask for light sauce. The rice was good, but a little greasy. My other son ate almost all of it, but did end up vomiting later that evening. Not sure if it was his lack of chewing or perhaps old rice. At any rate... not totally turned off by their food, but will probably opt for a plate instead of sandwiches.

This business should shut down, the owner has terrible attitude towards customers. The food is disgusting, they put in curry sauce in shawrma without informing you, that is a foul against the shawrma culture. The owner charged me 4 times. Stay away!! read more

I like Shawarma King. I stop in once a week or so for lunch, and I've always found the food to be tasty and fresh. I am not sure about the comments saying the food looks old -- that hasn't been my experience. I usually have the falafel wrap, but the borek, pirozhki, and khachapuri are great too. Can Shawarma King be a bit slow at times? Maybe. Sure, Yalla is faster. I've got a couple extra minutes for quality. I would recommend giving this place a try. I have had good results. read more

I have tried many places that offer Shawarma and they have all be pretty decent up to this point. When I was scrolling down on Eat24 and saw that a Shawarma place delivers and the fee was pretty reasonable for this type of food I just had to try it out because I love shawarma This was by far the worst mistake I have ever done and let me explain why: 1. The driver does not follow detailed instructions. When I mean detailed I mean extremely detailed. This was my instructions. "Dial (gate code) take the elevator. 2nd floor. The first unit in front of you" Take a guess in what the driver did. He did the first, He didn't do the last part. This guy literally went around the WHOLE building I live in and literally took 10 mins to finally come to my unit. Why is this a problem? well think about the food is cold once it comes out so you want to make sure it stays warm as possible. Taking an extra 10 mins to find the unit after given detailed instructions is really upsetting because hence food gets cold longer it takes to get to your table and eat it. Also to point out that the delivery was late too. 2. Shawarma meat - This is one of the nastiest Shawarma sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life. This is the restaurant description of there sandwich " Fresh meat marinated in spices, with tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, onion, and our special king sauce" They did get something right because the sauce they use is really interesting because it has a curry taste to it and the meat was not marinated at all it was so dry when I took a bite out of it. My suggestion is to take out that special sauce and either add Garlic sauce or make your own Tahini sauce. That sauce/seasoning was just nasty and did not go well at all. 3 Price - How do you justify charging 7.99 for a sandwich and put so little meat inside of it? Reduce the price or add more meat or add more ingredients to the sandwich or have the customer customize is and charge them an extra 1.00 for extra meat or sauce or etc... but that price is way too much for what you get, and the same thing goes for the shawarma plate because I ordered a plate also and the little amount of meat that comes with is not worth the price. Oh, btw you have to pay extra for it to be beef which is ridiculous. 4 Instructions - This is literally the reason this place deserves a two-star rating. I ordered my shawarma sandwich with no tomatoes and take a guess what I found inside when I looked? Yup, you guessed right. TOMATOES! Is it really that hard to follow CUSTOMER instructions? I mean seriously it's not hard. In Conclusion, I probably will never order from here again and I don't recommend this place to anyone that wants Shawarma. read more

You guys. This place is not good. I am very sorry to have to leave this review because I want to support mom and pop restaurants but my experience here was so bad I felt it my civic duty to share. First of all the people who work here are indeed very nice. But the food was old and looked like it had been sitting there for some time. I tried to order the lavash wrap and lentil soup and was told they were unavailable. Okay... so I ordered the chicken shawarma combo with fries. The food you get looks nothing like the pictures on the menu. The chicken, oh my god the chicken was so terrible that when I got home I just threw it away. It was dry and covered in a "special sauce" that looked like mayo. The fries were old and overly salty. Don't be fooled by the overall 4 star rating. I think there is some gaming of the system going on. If you look at the more critical reviews you'll see we are all saying the same thing: terrible special sauce, old food, bad food preparation techniques. I am never coming back here again. There are too many places in Burbank that serve similar fare and do a much better job. Shawarma king needs to up its game if it wants to compete. read more

4 guys came in without masks. One was coughing. Guy at counter also unmasked. Had already paid for order so we changed it to go and waited outside until ready. Servers were apologetic but did nothing. Didn't even ask coughing guy to put on mask. Don't t hi ink we'll be back regardless of food. read more

Their cheese bread with a sunny side up egg was amazingly delicious which I didn't expect it when I ordered it. I thought this bread, Khachapuri would be tasted like a French bread or some sort of bread you can get in Walmart. However, its texture was totally different. It's soft and chewy. And their cheese was neither mozzarella or cheddar. It's more like a mixed version cheese which I loved it! To sum up, it's a light version but flavorful cheese pizza with a sunny side up egg. Please put it in your must-try cart. You won't regret it. read more

I just happend to randomly drive by this place on my way to my sons graduation. And wanted a quick bite thus place to our surprise was new. The Shawarma fries were very very original and delicious we also ordered seconds on LAHMAJUN with that little touch of lemon juice was delicious!!! We'll be coming back again soon!!! read more

Ordered two Shawarma Wraps, one chicken on beef for delivery. When I received the order, the wraps were falling apart and they were super oily/greasy. To top it all off, the meat was super hard, to the point that I thought I was biting into a bone (not an exaggeration), but it was actually the beef. Both the chicken and the beef wrap had the same meat texture. I understand that it was a really late night order, but I still expect the same quality that you provide during the day. I can't say anything about the location/parking because I did not visit the restaurant. read more

Never actually ate from this place but, I can already tell they have bad customer service because of the attitude I called them one time to order takeout with them. One night I called them asking if they had shawarma and this man yelled at me. I did not understand what he said and he said "don't say that we don't have it!" and then I said oh it's okay thank you and then he grunted "mm" and I just hung up on him. read more

The baba ganoush and felafel sandwich are the best I've ever had and my husband loves the shawarma, but the phone call doesn't always go through when you try to phone in an order and the employees were not wearing masks when I went to pick up the food. I hope they solve the phone problem and start wearing masks because the food is great and I hope they stay in business. read more

Ohhhhh LORD please help! This place should never be called Shawarma King! They have no clue what Shawarma is! I ordered the shawarma plate just the picture they had on the screen! Comes with fries; salad: rice and shawarma. I told her that I didn't want the salad and if she can add more fries! She said we don't put fries with this order! I said look at the picture she said nope! That's not fries! Lol. The shawarma was burnt I could not eat it! The rice had zero flavor! This place is fire!!! So good! I've been trying most of the Mediterranean spots around burbank and this one is the best! I usually get the beef shawarma plate with the Lahmajun. The beef is tender and juicy and they put this delicious sauce on top! Woo so sexy! The hummus is mad good too! They give you a good enough portion of everything to leave you full! Everything is seasoned well and cooked to perfection! I ordered out from here a few times and decided to dine in and it looks like it's run by a nice family. The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming! I felt like I was at my grandma's getting food! Definitely give this spot a try and ignore the negative reviews! I tried Red moon lounge which was garbage. They give you a ton of food but it was all bland and dry. Rodini park is good but small portions! I paid extra 2 bucs for beef to get like 4 pieces of beef in my plate! Trash! Get Shawarma King! read more

Placed order with Yelp. Got a phone call - "we don't have bread or eggs" "very sorry" we have to cancel your order. I ask them how to cancel, they say i have to cancel on my end. I had to call Grubhub and cancel. 5-7 days for $50 order refund. I suggest Shawarma King be removed from Yelp until they get serious about their business. read more

This place is superb! I highly recommend it to people who loves Mediterranean food. I ordered the Lule Combo and Lahmajun...and it did not disappoint me. Chicken and beef lule are both delicious. Lahmajun is so good,too. Spiced right...they give you a big serving and their prices are very reasonable. I will definitely come back. And they're open until 3am. Please don't get confused because Shawarma King and Glenoaks Kabob House is just one place..don't know why they have 2 names,though. But I guess,it does not really matter...I love their food!! read more

I can't believe one of their workers was bringing in supplies without a mask! He must have walked to his car and back into the store five to ten times. His blue Kia was filled to the brim with sodas, large jars of Mayo and pickles. I guess we won't be coming back to this place where there is no concern for their patrons health. There were customers inside waiting for their orders. read more

There is one register available if you prefer to order with a person, but no employee is stationed there full-time, so you may have to wait a few minutes. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. The restaurant was clean, and the restrooms were clean as well. Our food came out fairly quickly. We ordered beef burgers, a fried chicken sandwich with avocado, loaded fries, regular fries, drinks, and a shake. The beef burgers had great flavor and were definitely the highlight of the meal. My chicken sandwich was good, but it didn't have that "wow" factor that would make me want to order it again. The loaded fries were tasty too. Our total came to $81 for three burgers, three orders of fries, two drinks, and a shake. Since everything is à la carte, it felt a little pricey for what we received. Overall, I'm glad we tried it. It wasn't bad at all, but it also wasn't a place that left me thinking, "I can't wait to come back." If you're in the area and want to check it out, it's worth trying at least once. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Clean restrooms, easy tablet ordering, order freshly prepared and delivered to your table. My single shack burger was great, fries were pretty good also. But, the star this time was the vanilla shake. So delicious and perfect thick consistency to go through the straw perfectly and never got thin/ runny, lol

It's a typical burger restaurant but I'm a sucker for a chicken sandwich and their buffalo version didn't disappoint (I'd ask for more buffalo sauce next time, but it was still tasty) Good onion rings and fries. I'd visit again to try burger.

Our chips and salsa order was never put in, BUT it was totally fine because my boyfriend and I totally should have shared a burger! We ended up STUFFED with our Hawaiian burgers- they also mixed up our orders slightly, giving him a wheat bun with cheese and me a regular bun, no cheese, when I wanted the wheat bun and no cheese. It was not a big deal and my boyfriend just ate the wheat bun and I had the regular. No big deal. But a subtle thing that added to my less-than five star rating. Drinks were okay. She was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel genuinely appreciated from the moment we walked in. She provided the level of hospitality I expect from Islands. Unfortunately, everything after we were seated went downhill. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which arrived extremely runny and lacked any real flavor. Even the "secret seasoning" couldn't improve it. It was not something I would order again. I ordered the Longboarder Burger and was equally disappointed. The bun had a strong, stale odor that made it seem as though it had absorbed the smell of a pantry shelf or had been sitting far past its prime. The smell was so off-putting that I had to take the burger apart and eat only the patty. Even then, the patty itself was underwhelming, lacking both quality and flavor. For a restaurant known for its burgers, this was unacceptable. Our server, whose name I don't recall, was absent for most of the evening. While I understand restaurants get busy, being busy shouldn't come at the expense of basic attentiveness. On more than one occasion, she appeared too rushed to fully listen to what we were saying. At one point, my partner was still in the middle of speaking when she simply walked away before he had finished his sentence. That left us feeling dismissed rather than cared for. I've always associated Islands with consistently good food and friendly service, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Sophia, the hostess, delivered excellent hospitality, but the food quality and the service we received after being seated fell well below the standard I expect from this restaurant. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because based on this visit, I would hesitate to return.

After about two years Easy Street opened its first ever brick and mortar in Studio City, in 2022. It is great. The place is adorable and still looks new. It is comfortable. You can dine there, do pick up or have it delivered. Regardless of whether you call in or go there, the service is great. This is not a huge place and I have a feeling it will grow. It is that good. We love their Filthy fries with onion, cheese and a burger patty. They also have a special sauce for it. All of their fries are great. They also have regular fries, Cajun and Wild Fries with onions and cheese. Their burgers are the best. Made there fresh and always made right. You will love this place.

I forgot exactly how I first stumbled upon Cafe de Olla, but I've come here with my family a few…read moretimes, and we've definitely decided this location is better than the Monrovia one. First, their cafe de olla is absolutely delicious. This remains one of the only places where I genuinely enjoy ordering cafe de olla. Second, their food is incredible. They serve excellent portions, everything tastes fresh, and the food is just so good. I've had their taquitos and chilaquiles, and both were delicious. The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. The food and cafe de olla are worth it.

Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.

This place definitely has the best Mediterranean food in Burbank/Glendale area. To be honest I had only one item from the menu but willing to find out if other items taste as good! So I ordered carry out by phone and went to pick up. My order was not ready yet, but the staff was very friendly and I had no problem waiting. The restaurant was almost empty, only 2 tables were busy, and 2 other customers were waiting for take out. While waiting I was exploring an interesting art piece on the wall made of a tree divided to 3 pieces and framed, which I found very creative! Overall, the place was clean, but don't expect a super incredible dining experience. I definitely give 5 star for the Shawarma Fries and friendly staff! I ordered with beef, and it comes mixed with salad, french fries and topped with sauce! and pita bread. It's located down 2 streets from my home and open till 3 am at night so I'll definitely be back for other items! read more

I used to get lahmajun from many different places, however, when I tried Shawarma King's lahmajun, I buy only from this place now. They are perfectly shaped and cooked which makes them extremely delicious and good looking. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I went to this shop and without any doubt I can say it couldn't get better. I got the Shawarma Bread with beef and lahmajun, and it was delicious.
