Well what can I say, I keep coming back. So why the 3 stars? Well, I like milk teas and every boba place everyone has their own "signature" flavor. But I personally have not found my "signature gotta have drink" just yet. I have had different ones, the Okinawa Milk Tea, the Matcha Milk Tea w/ Taro boba, the Mango Passion Fruit tea and none of them I drink and say OMGGGG. Now do not get me wrong, I like Share tea, and their staff is amazing. Quick, efficient, and friendly. I will continue to return to Sharetea and explore the menu a bit more but until I get the wow factor, it will have to stay 3 stars. read more

This place has bad service. I had the black tea with icecream. I asked for no ice, I was charged an additional 25 cent, but when I got my drink there was ice. I took my drink back and had them remove the ice. When I got my drink back there was still ice in it. Nice work guys. Staff need more training. read more

They have the same drinks compare to the Geary location but for some reason their service is slower than the one on Geary. If you want a quick drink, don't come here but this would probably be the only place I would recommend you to get boba tea from in the surround area. read more

I hadn't visited the new Metreon in YEARS and was so surprised at how awesome the cafeteria area was. I was even more excited when I saw Sharetea. My friend and I both tried the green tea crema and such high hopes for it. Unfortunately, it was too sweet and not as great tasting as their other milk teas. I should've stuck to my usual order. Flavors of the milk tea are a bit muted, but I like that you can control amount of sugar and ice.

Tea is good but not great... It is a bit sweet for me although I only ordered 30% sugar level. I prefer plentea even though they are a bit more pricey. read more

this place is crazy busy. there is even a line for the line to order. and then there is another line to get your tasty beverage. it's out in the open in the middle of the ground floor of the mall. i loved the straws. the skinny ones are very sturdy. of course the big fat ones are nice and sturdy too. a beloved spot for bubble tea for the GiftStarter team. read more

I don't buy boba drinks so often, but Sharetea is always the best boba place in San Francisco. I fell in love with their kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly! I ordered it with 30% sweetness and less ice. This level of sweetness was perfect for me! Always long line to order drinks, but the wait time for pick up wasn't long. Must grab one before going to the movies at AMC. read more

Sharetea is a weekly favorite for my coworkers. And for good reason: they have a huge variety of inexpensive, great tasting bubble tea. I also love that they really let you customize you drink: sweetness, ice level, mixins, etc. One recommendation: I have a strong sweet tooth, and the 50% sweetness level borders on too much for me. My first order was at 100% and I got a headache from the amount of sugar. read more

ALL staretea locations I've been to have yet to disappoint until I've came to this one. The tea was alright, but the service was 50/50. The staff here is majority younger which is always a positive for me. What's a bummer here is that you can order online? or over the phone and it becomes a huge hassle for those who order at the location itself. Oh, wow. This was a different experience ordering tea. They even ask if your sugar level is high or low. The catcher is drink your tea, then spend the rest of the time swirling with the straw to scoop and suck in the jelly or pearl at the bottom. The crowd is very young and Asian. Exclusive crowd. I was excited there was a Sharetea open in the city. I often go to the one in San Mateo, and sometimes the one in Union City. I don't know why this place is more expensive than others. I always order a QQ happy family. It is listed as $4.35 on the menu, then they charged me $4.9. Requesting to have the drink with no ice is additional 25 cents. WTH? I went with less ice instead, still was charged $4.9. The drink was okay, the pearls are too soft. It just shows again everything in the city is more expensive and of lower quality :( read more

Went to Altconf2015 which was held inside AMC Metreon, noticed there is a Sharetea right in the same building. I was thirsty and rushed to it. Greeted by a grumpy face and unfriendly attitude. I was wondering what was going on here? And right after I ordered, noticed their royalty program is Fivestar. I knew I have a Fivestar account but never have it for Sharetea. So I asked can I join the program? Right after I typed my number to the touchscreen, the cashier told me I don't have a account here and gave me another grumpy face! That's the point why I asked can I join your royalty program! If I had it already, what's the point for me to ask u? Their service really sucks! Overpriced! A regular milk tea with no toppings was $4.20. This location charges more than other Sharetea locations. It also seems standard across Sharetea locations to charge 25 cents for no ice. The milk tea smells better than it tastes. It was super watery with a hint of cream and bitterness from over steeping the tea. Not worth the price. read more

The Order Ahead system was great. There was a really long line, and I get to skip through the line. There is a 20 mins wait from placing the order to pick up. If timed right, it is a breeze. I got the Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea with mixed pearls. The pearls were good. The level of chewiness was just right I like the mixed because it keeps it exciting with the slightly different texture. I expected a lot of the Hokkaido milk tea. It smells a little like Hokkaido, but I didn't taste the Hokkaido milk flavor. With 80% sweetness, the sweetness level was good, but the tea was very diluted. I wouldn't give it another try especially this is the most expensive pearl milk tea I've ever bought. read more

This place is convenient and the drinks are okayish. I heard a lot of praises for other Sharetea locations but this one is subpar when compared to other locations. I tried different tea drinks multiple times but I could barely taste the tea flavor at all, only a bunch of sugar with some add-ons. The other fruity drinks are fine. Delicious. So delicious. I use OrderAhead to skip the line, sometimes just get my tea fix delivered to me instead. This place has seen much improvement since it opened for business. When I first came here, the tea was really weak. As time passes, the quality now is much better. I usually come here at least once a week. The price is comparable to all the better boba places, Cool Tea Bar and Plantea. The people who work here provide good service. I had their green teak milk tea with tapioca. It was very good compared to the other places I tried in the past. The time it took to make it was quick which I liked. The tapiocas that were in it were good and easy to chew. I had some milk tead that had tapiocas in it that were hard as a rock. Overall, I would recommend this place. read more

It was a bit tricky to find this Sharetea, especially when you aren't from the San Francisco area. With the help (or should I say no help), my GPS routed me to a completely random location until my friend and I realized that this Sharetea was located inside of the Metreon. After walking inside of the Metreon, you can't miss it. The line wasn't too long at all and it took about 5-10 minutes to wait for our order. I ordered a drink that was pretty much a coffee blend with coffee ice cream. This drink was not terrible, but it was definitely not the best that I've had and definitely not worth over $5.00. My friend's drink, which was a Mango Green Tea, tasted a lot better and more refreshing. I would recommend the Mango Green Tea for anyone who's looking for a semi-sweet drink that will quench their thirst on a hot day! Plus, I would recommend after receiving your drinks to exit the doors nearby where you are welcomed by the entrance of the Yerba Buena Gardens. There are plenty of tables and chairs to choose from so you can enjoy your drinks with a nice view :) read more

While I love the drinks at Sharetea and am glad there are few in the Bay Area, the Metreon has issues with honoring prices and deals. I've been here at least 6 times and the same drink has cost 4 different prices. Today I asked why my drink cost the amount it did (since the math didn't add up) and she said that the menus hadn't been updated so my drink cost 40 cents more. That's not that much in the grand scheme - and I paid it - but when my drink is nearing $6 I think you at least owe it to your customers to update pricing - especially when you have an electronic menu! As well, another time I received a coupon through Square for $5 which they chose not to honor. I haven't had issues like this at other Sharetea locations, and might have to start making my way to other Shareteas to avoid this type of behavior. read more
