I knew sooner or later, Sharetea would make its way to Hawai'i. Sharetea was a must when I visited the Philippines, especially when I had milk tea withdrawals as there weren't much places to enjoy. It's located around Kahala Mall...which means no competitors nearby! My best friend and I were spontaneously in the area and decided to give it a try. It's a very small cafe with a very few seatings and the lines are easily going out the door. I ordered the Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea (Roasted Brown Sugar) at 80% sweet with boba. This was tasty and it hit the spot. I'm currently obsessed with brown sugar milk tea, it's just so good! My best friend ordered the taro milk tea with boba, both her and her son enjoyed it. Now, you're probably wondering, well WHY the three stars!? Well I already prepared myself for a line since they're fairly new and I was open to the possibility that they might not be as good as the one in the Philippines. What I didn't prepare myself for was the poor customer service received from the cashier, which pretty much ruined our visit. At first, I ordered the QQ Family Milk Tea cause I wanted to try something random off the menu. When I said, can I have it with boba? The cashier responded, "Really? It already comes with 5 toppings you want another one?" (Attitude problem) So I said I was sorry I didn't know and instead I ordered the Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea, in which I wanted 50% sweet, and he rudely says, "We can't do that, we can only do up to 80%. You still want it?" So I said, fine okay sure (I just wanted this conversation to end, pay for our drinks, and leave). I'll probably come back to try other items on the menu, but if I were to be craving milk tea, this wouldn't be the first place to come to mind. read more

Was standing in front of the reg waiting for the worker to acknowledge me so I could order but she just assumed I was going to order. Told her I wanted a honeydew drink. Got a milk tea flavor and I told them it wasn't what I ordered and they told me they didn't have honeydew. Maybe I should have double checked but I said it clearly twice. This place has the best homemade taro fresh milk tea. Get it with boba. The taro is soft and tastes just like my Taiwanese mom makes it! I can't get enough of this drink. Yes, I have tried their other drinks and they are also good but this drink--this tea shop--is legit! The people working the counter are always pleasant and I never have to wait long for my drink. Sharetea is located in the Kahala Mall area near Brug bakery, across from McDonald's. This is my third time getting drinks from this location and here is what I think of this place overall. From the exterior and interior the place looks cute and clean. Given the fact that the pandemic was going on, I didn't like the fact that there were so many people in line (especially with no social distancing being enforced in front of the shop). We did a phone order, and called 15 minutes ahead but we still had to wait about 10. When the phone answered, we started ordering and mid-way some else took the phone and we had to repeat our order. The organization of phone order to walk-ins could have been better. When there isn't a pandemic still going on, I do feel that there's a lot more organization and waaaaay better customer service. The drinks are okay, I rate them a 3. Ordered 4 drinks and 2 of them came messed up. I knew they were kind of busy so we just left. Today I tried the Oreo blended, personally I think the drink was weird (and I love Oreo!). It tasted like I blended milk and Oreos and then ate a little slice of butter. Left a filmy taste in my mouth. I'll probably come back here again to taste their teas, because previously I have enjoyed them a bit more. Both of the girls working tonight were very rude...no idea if the workers like each other... since there was some awkward vibes I was feeling. First tried to ask the girl at the register for advice and she had a tone as if she was bugged that I asked her a question about the tea options. I ordered classic black milk tea 50% sugar no ice. The next worker who made my drink prepared it then poured it into the cup... I filled up only 3/4 the way since I said no ice. She tried to short cut it by adding more I hot tea from the insulator/canister from above the sInk... When she handed me the drink it was hot so I asked " is my drink supposed to be hot" she pulled it out of my hand and told the other girl I don't know how to make it with no ice with attitude and they both were bickering on how to fIx it while I kept saying sorry. When she made the drink cold she slammed it infront of me. I said thank you and she turned her back to me. I took a sip and it was so bitter... as if she forgot to add sugar... I was almost to scared to go back and ask since I ordered it at 50% sweetness;since she had a bad attitude! I was thinking the ratio was off since she added the hot tea, since she argued about not knowing how to make drinks with no ice. My boyfriend said to just go tell them so when I went back I kindly asked if she could add sugar since I couldn't taste it... she yanked my drink and got this long spoon and slammed it into my drink and kept making an ugh sound... When I got the drink I just left. She didn't apologize! Tasted so watered down... lIke I thought it was a milk tea! Barely any milk! Came on 4.19.19 with a group of six people (myself included) because our friends saw that Sharetea had finally opened in Kahala Mall! My boyfriend and I were super excited to have a milk tea shop so close to home so we HAD to come to try it out. Coming to a store at 8:30 PM was bad on our part since I know majority of the establishments at Kahala Mall, specifically, close at 9 but we took our chances and should've stuck to our intuition. There were a couple of people in the store waiting on their drinks and it didn't seem like they were going to close soon so we walked in, hoping that they weren't going to kick us out. The workers greeted us as we walked in (+1 for customer service) and a female worker quickly headed towards the cash register to take in our orders. Looking at the menu, nothing really stuck out to me so I went for usual and TRIED to order a QQ Happy Family Milk Tea since there was a gold star next to it (which was a recommended drink). Hence the word 'tried' because the girl told me that they ran outta boba, which is fine because I usually say no boba, so I told her that I was ok without having the drink with boba. She then tells me that I still wasn't able order that drink because it contained boba... Ok... So I quickly scanned the menu for another drink and went for the Classic Black Milk Tea & she told me the same thing again. What? How is it that I can't get a drink without boba? If she told me that she would've had to charge me the full price for the drink without boba, I would've been fine with it but she didn't even give me that option. I finally asked her what I was able to order and she pointed at everything else BUT the milk tea section. At that point, I just ordered the Fresh Black Milk Tea (in the Fresh Milk section) and my boyfriend got the Strawberry Ice Blended with Lychee Jelly and Ice Cream. We got our drinks after a few minutes and were not satisfied. The Fresh Black Milk Tea was nothing special--it's basically milk layered on top of the brewed black tea. The blended Strawberry drink was incredibly sweet and was overpowered by the lychee jelly on the bottom. No bueno! All in all, I'm not impressed by Sharetea. I think it's ridiculous that they won't let you order a drink that has boba in it. They make it seem like each cup is pre-made with a scoop of boba inside of it. I'm willing to give this place another try since it's so close to home but at the same time, I'm hoping I won't run into this same situation again. read more

I've visited ShareTea literally 12 times (and have checked in on Yelp everytime I stop by)... Everytime I visit, they get my drink wrong. Which is really confusing because the label printed on my drink is always correct. My usual drink is their Kiwi Fruit Tea but with small boba instead of the usual Aiyu jelly. Regular ice and 50% sweetness. They've forgotten the boba, put other toppings inside, and even once forgotten to put the kiwi inside the tea. How does that even happen? I wasn't going to write this review until I visited them yesterday. They decided to switch from their paper point card over to Five Star. Originally their stamp card awarded a free drink after the purchase of 12. Now, you can get a free drink after $65 worth of purchases (with 1 point equaling $1). When I made my order, it seemed like they were just testing out the Five Star system and I was the Guinea pig. They told me to put my information and they'd combine the point card for me. I bought my 2 drinks, which ended up both being wrong, and left thinking everything was ok. But when I went home and checked the total amount of points on Five Star, I only had 40 points... I guess they gave me the incorrect amount of points AND forgot to give the the points for my purchase that day? What a rip off. Avoid this place if you can. read more

This new boba place opened in the same area where Kozo Sushi and McDonalds is. Sharetea is a boba place from Taiwan so my thoughts before trying it was, it has to be good right? I went there on a Saturday afternoon and the line had about 5 people before me. I decided to order black milk tea with boba, less ice and 80% sweetness. It was delicious! The boba was soft and chewy and the sweetness was perfect! I usually prefer 100% sweetness but 80% was just right. The only down side is that there is only one size but my drink came out not too long after I ordered. I would definitely recommend trying Sharetea! read more

Prior to visiting Sharetea I heard mixed things, from my local friends. However, when my cousin from Washington was visiting me she told me that ShareTea is part of a franchise with locations in California, Washington state, etc. She explained that the whole concept is that the owner visits different countries and finds the best tea from those areas and then uses those teas all at this location. Hence, the concept of "ShareTea" So after hearing her positive experience about the Washington ShareTea, I thought I would visit. Located conveniently at the new area outside of Kahala Mall, next to Jersey Mikes, L&L, Kozo Sushi, etc, ShareTea brings a different vibe to the place. The shop itself is a cute little shop, definitely a place for few to be able to sit inside. I was surprised to see all the different variety, and the fact that you could choose ice level. Like I didn't know that was a thing, since I never add to specify ice level at other tea places I visit. Any who, the fiancé and I visited on memorial day, and service was great! We were able to find parking no problem. The fiancé ordered his typical milk tea (of course I got to sample some of his) and it was pretty good! I ordered one of the fruity drinks, since that is my go to, and it was also really yummy and refreshing, especially after spending a few hours at the beach. :) The boba had a different consistency and texture compared to other places we go, but I thoroughly enjoyed it with the fruity drink I had, since it complimented it well. The service is nothing special and the parking lot is poorly designed, so parking is limited. The cafe itself is small with just a few chairs; not really a place to hangout. More like grab-n-go. The average tea price is about $5-$6. I order regular Milk Tea or Mango Green Tea: Less ice Zero sweetness With boba They use the Five Star Rewards system, so you can earn points. First of all it took them 15 minutes to make 2 fruit tea drinks, and there was only one person in front of me when I walked in to order. When I asked the girl if it always took them that long, she claimed they were super busy; hmmmm? I ordered the whole lemon black tea (which tasted good) but it had TONS of lemon seeds! Perhaps they could take some time to remove the seeds before putting it in the drink, but I'm assuming that would mean another 5 minutes to make my drink. Tried this place for the first time today. My sister (who was here yesterday) said she tried the Okinawa milk tea and really liked it so I was planning on trying it too. But then after looking at pictures on their Instagram I had to try their strawberry ice blended with ice cream and lychee jelly. At $6.50 this drink is not cheap but it was really good! My husband thought the lychee jelly was too sweet but he liked everything else about it! And of course my daughters loved it! At that price it's definitely not something we'd order regularly but it's a nice splurge every once in awhile! I can't wait to come back to try their milk tea and boba!!! read more

Heard my boss talk about how good this place was so I decided to try it. It's in a convenient location, and east Oahu doesn't have many places that serve boba so I was excited. I've tried the fresh milk tea and boba fresh milk drinks, both of which have been really good. The fresh milk seems to be a bit creamier than regular milk teas which I enjoy. The one thing that doesn't make me rave about this place is the customer service. I've been here three times and the cashier has always been the older lady Karen, who has pretty subpar service. Doesn't smile or say thank you, and I've had to repeat myself every time coming here. With how many boba shops are around, service can make or break the experience. The drinks are good and the girls who make them are much nicer than Karen is, but I can't give five stars solely based on her attitude. I work in customer service so it's a big deal for me when I see others in the same field not doing what they should be. Also, I just noticed today that the floor is very dirty. It's not the biggest problem in the world but it's noticeable with white tile and not the best thing for a food establishment. read more

Me and my BF went to ShareTea hoping to try a new boba place since we try to get a boba every meetup. Well let me tell you, we were disappointed, as the drinks were overpriced and not good. The boba pearls were good, but other than that, the actual drinks were not good and were overly sweet. My bf's drink (oreo blended) was too sweet and didn't even taste like oreos. Instead it tasted like coconut. My drink (strawberry green tea) was not even customizable and was also overly sweet. Overall I wish this place the best, but I will not be coming back. read more

I've been to Sharetea on the mainland and I think it was better there than this location. I ordered the handmade taro with fresh milk with boba and my mom ordered the honey lemonade with aloe vera. Unfortunately, they were out of aloe vera, so she got it with lychee jelly instead. The flavor of the taro with fresh milk and boba was a little on the sweet side for me, and I thought they would have blended the drink a little more. There were large pieces of ice that were just small enough to go up the boba straw. I tasted my mom's honey lemonade with lychee jelly and it didn't really taste like anything. We went back to ask them to remake the drink, which they did. The second time around it definitely tasted like lemonade, but couldn't really taste any honey. For the prices here I think I'll pass or go to a different boba stop. read more

After I got it I told the girl I wanted it blended she told me oh well next time you can ask them that. Yup was not happy "stood in line again" didn't touch the cup or straw asked. This place has some great drinks. Don't get me wrong, I really like the drinks but very disappointed that they don't add what you want and they only limit what you can have with your drink. I would think that they would just charge you if you want extra bobas or lychee jelly in your drink but they always tell you that they can only do one or the other. Other places just add whatever you want with no problem. Also the sizes are small and should think about upgrading the sizes that way if a customer wants to add 2x bobas than it should be no problem. Staff not friendly more than half of the time, robotic and barely know the menu, can't make minor adjustments just know how to follow the recipe on the wall. They basically feed off of the business from Brug and the fact in Kahala there is no other Boba Tea.. Teapresso on Waialae is worth the drive and better quality and faster. I absolutely love their drink, this is my favorite spot for any milk tea or tea. They are very rice in flavor and have a lot of options for you to pick from! I normally get 50% or lower for sweetness, I'm not a big fan of sweet stuff and it's been very nice and delicious! I'm highly recommending you to try their drink.
