Great to see this chain out in the burbs. I realize I have been coming here for years and have never reviewed the local boba watering hole. Their boba is on point and always cooked to the right temperature. Like all good shops, you can specify sweetness level and amount of ice. Service is fast with online ordering available. My friends and family like visiting here after being at the range or riding bikes. The ambiance is amenable to hanging out with friends, families, and steady couples. Hope they're able to expand into a bigger space nearby someday. read more

We get boba here pretty often, and I love ordering online. I actually PREFER ordering online, mainly because they are SO BUSY and take a really long time. So I can order while I'm at home, and usually by the time I get there, it's ready (or nearly ready). Don't be shocked if it takes 30 minutes, honestly. First time ever at any Sharetea location. I'm very grateful to have one in my hometown. I ordered the taro ice blended with pudding. I loved the fact that you can customize how sweet you can have your drink. I opted for the 50% sweet. I noticed that I can add more toppings to my drink, but decided to keep it as it is. The taro flavor was abundant and stood well with the blended ice. I appreciated that my drink wasn't too sweet, even with the custard pudding. The custard pudding was a nice partnership with the taro. Gave it another texture. I'll have to try another drink or add more toppings to my next drink next time. read more

This review is based on the experience I had today, Sunday, just before noon. I walked in with a woman who had arrived just as I did and we both found the lobby empty with stanchions prevention people from entering past the pick-up window. The associate shouts to both of us if we had an "online order", which neither of us did and then told us they only take orders online. No problem. The woman leaves and I pull out my phone to start placing my order. The associate shouts at me again, not rudely, but definitely with no level of customer service, and asks, "do you have an online order?" Clearly not, since she just shouted the question a minute ago and I answered, "no, but I'm placing the order now." She replies, you can place it outside. I ask her why and she states, "we don't want people waiting in here." Now she may not have been trying to be rude, but clearly the burden of purchasing something at this establishment is on the customer, and don't expect any level of friendliness during this process. Regardless, I step outside to continue my order. As I go to checkout online, literally being 11:59, the earliest option for me to get my order was 12:15. I cancelled the order and left. How could this experience have been improved? 1) I was fully masked up and prepared with my proof of vaccinations. If I was the only person there, I'm not understanding the policy to not place my order inside. If there was a limit to the number of people inside at once, that would make sense, and people would wait outside. In addition, a kiosk outside for people to place their order would be much more convenient. This could be accomplished with the most basic tablet/device. 2) Even just the slightest bit of courtesy or friendliness from the staff goes a long way, especially if you're asking someone to jump through hoops to purchase a product from them. This model is not beneficial to their business and I would expect the number of lost sales from customers who are trying to purchase an item at the spur of the moment will be significant. What's the point of all of the window decals, decorations, etc., if you're not expecting people to be drawn in to make a purchase? 3) The establishment and staff recognizing that this process is new, and not common in the shopping center they were in, so a bit of customer service could have helped with anyone confused by their rules. 4) Letting the customer know that the online orders may state a minimum of 15 minutes to prepare, but they would start the order as we waited or while were in the process of placing the order online. Waiting 15 minutes on an off-day, with literally nobody walking around the shopping center is unacceptable. Who walks up to purchase a beverage thinking they'd need to wait 15 minutes? read more

I usually order Thai Tea with tapioca however wanted to try something new. I was between mango blended and oreo blended however I am not a big fan of artificial mango so I opted for the oreo. Fast service and friendly staff. Social distancing measures include ordering and then they text you when it's ready to pick up at the counter so you can chill outside underneath some shade for a few minutes before receiving the text. We were on our way home from Napa/Vallejo when we need to satisfy our boba fix. A quick search on Yelp and Maps pointed us over to the Hercules location of Sharetea. As this was a first time to a Sharetea location, I came away satisfied. Since they did not have my "go to" drink (Strawberry Matcha Latte), I decided to go with the Taro Milk Pearl drink. And right away, the Ube (Filipino for Taro) flavor was pronounced, satisfying, and refreshing. And oh, the Boba pearls were good as well. Not too hard, not too mushy. Just right! read more

Wait time is why I give it 1 star. They've been open for 2 years now and I still have to wait 30-45 mins for my order. I understand they're busy most days but this happens on days where they aren't busy. I know they opened up online ordering but it's not worth waiting half an hour for. Also, the online ordering system doesn't always work and once I couldn't even get my order to go thru and just wanted to put my order in so I wouldn't have to wait. I called and the employee who answered told me I can't order over the phone, I can only order online or in person and if online system is down I would have to come in order and wait for 30-45 mins. There aren't that many boba spots to choose from in this area, so this location should do better in making sure their drinks are made in the correct order of customers. We came in on a Saturday afternoon, and yes, they were busy as should be expected. But they had a lot of workers to compensate. My husband and I are pretty patient customers, but once we saw 3 people who were behind us in line get their drinks served, we had to be one of those people that line up and ask where our drinks are. Turns out, our drinks were sitting on the side of the counter forgotten. Another negative - my husband's order was a mango milk tea and we got a regular mango iced tea. Admittedly, our fault for not getting a receipt. By the time we got our drinks, we were too annoyed to ask for them to remake it. UPDATE: changing my original review because I had the chance to speak with Bernadette to discuss what had happened. I get that this place is still new and learning, so I appreciate how the owners took my feedback and turned into a learning opportunity. Lesson learned, though, that downtime after being slammed for a few hours doesn't make an excuse for faulty service, and although the staff are young, it's a matter of learning from mistakes. More than likely, I'll still be coming here for boba anytime we're in Hercules, but if there's one thing that can still be improved to make this place better, it's improving the wait time for drinks. ORIGINAL POST: This place is always busy...but that's why it makes sense to order ahead online. EXCEPT... Today was super disappointing because I had ordered online and basically waited 5 minutes past when my drinks were supposed to have been done, watching 6 staff stand around and chit chat (see my picture), and making NO drinks. There were other people waiting for their mobile order, but no one bothered to ask what they were waiting for or if they needed anything. They've become way more efficient and consistent with the quality of their drinks, especially when Jeff is in to supervise. My family has enjoyed this location since they've opened but on 09/07/2024, we experienced an issue while paying. My daughter and I ordered my drink a little before 7:30pm. We gave the cashier a $20.00 bill, so he opened the cash drawer. While my daughter was entering the phone number on the screen for points, the order had already gone through and the cashier instead asked for us to give the number verbally for him to write down. In the process, he closed the register and forgot to give us our change. We were standing there for a handful of seconds and then we were told that they would call our name when the drink was ready. We forgot to get our change. After receiving our drink, we left the location and traveled back home not realizing what had happened until it was too late and the store had closed for the day. I'm sure if you check the cash till, there should be an extra $10.00 and security cameras from 09/07/2024 before 7:30pm showing that our change was never given. read more

Review #009 - 2019 After all the driving around looking for a USPS location that processed walk in passport applications, I needed something sweet & cold to help calm my nerves. My son definitely deserved a nice treat for sitting in the car with his little sister the whole time. We showed up around 2 PM and I assumed that it wouldn't be busy since it's the middle of the workday; but little did I realize that there's a high school nearby, so it was still busy. I ordered the wintermelon tea creama and the young girl told me that it wasn't sweet so I told her to leave it at 100% sweetness. That was a big mistake because it was really sweet so I only drank three sips of it & gave it to my nephew. He said it had a weird aftertaste so neither of us liked it. He actually ordered the taro pearl milk tea with egg pudding and said it was good. My son got the blended classic milktea and said his was good as well. I guess I was the only one who made a bad choice. This location has plenty of seats so you don't have to worry about standing around while you wait on your drinks. read more

As many of you know, I LOVE boba. I especially am fond of the Sharetea boba joints. Now my current go to sharetea is in concord because frankly the other locations are too watered down and they just taste like sugar water. Coming to this location I was hopeful it would be similar to the concord location in terms of quality. Coming in on a late Sunday night I was surprised at how long the line was. This place is pop'in. I love the decor, the ample seating, and the abundance of parking. However, after 20 minutes in line I was really eagerly waiting to order. Now tell me why they only have 1 register open? If it's really this busy all the time wouldn't it make sense to have two registers? Anyways, I ordered my usual honey milk tea with small boba 30% sweet and got the hubs his iced green tea no sweet. Considering that they had only 3 drink makers they were pretty efficient. Overall, great quality milk tea with perfectly sweet and chewy boba. So why 4 stars? Because it was a hella long wait which can easily be fixed by opening another register. Will I come back, yep whenever I'm in the area. I have never seen so many critical reviews for a boba shop!! This sharetea just opened like last week and I already heard about the long waits so I was prepared. Ordered my go-to which is the Oolong milk tea w/ grass jelly and my sisters got the ice cream black tea and ice cream green tea. All our drinks were yummy per usual at any other Sharetea. Person who took my order was so so sweet I think she's the wife, and the baristas were def busting their asses!! The inside of this place is sooo nice. Good amount of tables and space for such a small space. If you don't want to wait for boba then I suggest you wait another month for the hype to die down and the workers get a hang of this thing. It's bigger than the one in Concord and the venue is clean and spacious with plenty of tables and seats to enjoy your drink at. It definitely is new! Service was somewhat fast when I came on a Friday afternoon even when there were handful of people ahead of me. Staff was friendly and appeared to be enjoying their job. I ordered ice blended matcha with boba (instead of red bean) and extra matcha powder since I know how bland that drink can be but unfortunately, they weren't able to provide my request, hence the 3 stars only. Also not a big fan of the ice cream being in the bottom of the drink. The location is also another thing that's hindering me from coming back. Traffic is bad especially on weekdays since it's adjacent to I-80 east and west so geting in/out is pretty difficult and requires loooooong patience. Well we finally got a decent boba place guys! Quickly has some competition, that's for sure! The drinks are a little more pricey than other places but I think it's because they use actual brewed tea rather than just powder(ie they dont have thai tea). The menu is abundant and the toppings are endless. Get the family pack which gives you a various of jellies for the same price of a regular boba drink. You can taste the quality of the drinks and the service is fast too. If you're new to this, take a leap and adventure out to this place. Try different flavors and combos and get a stamp card! You wont be disappointed. Tip: I suggest less ice and maybe 50-80% sweetness on any drink. read more

This is one of my favorite places to get boba tea.' I'm glad that there is one in my own backyard, been to the Concord and San Ramon locations (different franchise owners from this location) I've been to their soft opening and grand opening, I am impressed of how the staff are positive and have great attitudes. Started off really well with a few hiccups in the beginning like all new businesses that just open you have to be patient and understand that they are new and staff are still learning as the business gets busy. It's been a little over a month that they have been open and I think they are doing a fantastic job and are improving on their speed and service along the way. Jeff ( the owner) and his family are very friendly and are hands on with the staff which makes them awesome!!!! Keep up the good work!! I want to add that it's been over two months and they are hitting their mark and in the coming weeks they are going to get better, just wait for it. Since this Sharetea been open for a few months, the staff have been going a great job handling the pressure of opening and working in a business with great attitudes,and they work well together as a team which is hard to find for a new business. To management great job keeping your team motivate, always have them happy when they come into work, enjoy what they do, and letting them know they can't please everyone although they try. I've been to multiple Sharetea locations and every one of them are different which makes each location unique in its own way. Like I said in my earlier review that Sharetea Hercules is still new unlike the other locations that have been open for longer, they are learning when their peak times are which can be unpredictable each day. This will always be my go to Sharetea spot no matter if I had a good or bad experience ( Yes, I've had a bad experience here, I tell management about it to resolve it and not go giving them 1 or 2 stars, putting them on blast on yelp, and saying the other Sharetea does this.) Everyone has options and this is mine. You guys are doing a great job in the short amount of time you've been open. Looking forward to what's coming down the road!!!! Got to Sharetea at around 8:30 p.m. and noticed that pretty much everyone in the room was waiting for their drinks. Waited in line for a good 10 minutes. When I got to the register, I ordered "passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly and boba, 50% sweet." I was advised that they only had mango passion fruit and they were not able to modify it to just the passion fruit flavor. I ordered the mango passion fruit anyway for my sister. Waited another 15 minutes for my drinks. When I got my drinks, I noticed that the passion fruit drink was missing lychee jelly. Instead of pouring the drink into another cup and add the missing ingredient, they remade it and I had to wait again. I watched them remake the drink and saw that the mango and passion fruit syrups were added separately. I felt that my initial request was reasonable. I am extremely disappointed that they chose not to accommodate. Got home and noticed it was a much darker color - sketchy! My sister took a sip and just as suspected, it was not made correctly. It was a mixture of ORANGE, passion fruit, and mango. On top of that, the sweetness level was probably 150% vs. 50%. I know it's a new business, but I hope they take notes on the issues, offer flexibility/modification in drink flavors to accommodate customers, and implement some process improvement. I love Sharetea, so it's a little painful to only leave 3 Stars. This place was my go-to since their locations are near my house. It doesn't matter if it's this location or the one in Vallejo but they are ALWAYS missing some kind of component to a drink when I go. Especially between 11-12, near the time that they open. It's especially annoying when you drive across the bridge because this location has the mojito flavors and they don't have the mojito flavoring made. The girl that helped me didn't even bother to offer up me waiting while she made it. It's not hard, just make the flavorings the night before or get in a little earlier to have them made before opening time. Sadly this is a regular thing with Sharetea and I'll be having to look for another go to. One that's more consistent. read more

The quality and taste of the drinks have stayed consistent and made perfectly every time. Sharetea Hercules has always been my go to place because of how close it is to me and how convenient the online ordering is. My go to drinks are still the Taro Pearl milk tea along with the Hawaii Fruit Tea or Peach Tea with Aiyu Jelly. read more
