I wanted to give an updated review because this Sharetea deserves all my love. Honestly, everyone who lives in Hercules will agree this is the best boba we have in our area without going to Berkeley, Concord, etc. I'm very grateful to have a Sharetea a mile away from my house to satisfy my boba cravings because sometimes I don't want to drive extremely far for a drink, ya know? Sharetea is open during sheltering in place and I did an online order which was very convenient. It was easy to use and straightforward. After I placed my order, I came to the store and it was ready for me right away. It was such a breeze and I had no problems whatsoever! From my past experience (before sheltering), I would come here to do work sometimes because they have wifi and a good amount of tables and chairs. However, I wouldn't come here to read or anything because this place is loud as it tends to get crowded often. Additionally, they have a good variety of board games! I would hang out with my cousins here while we play with them and hangout. I noticed a lot of the employees here are young and have great energy! They're always friendly towards me and certain ones such as Kimberly and Taylor really stands out. They have wonderful customer service skills so props to them for making me feel welcomed and answering all my questions. My go to drink at any Sharetea location is the wintermelon tea with creama and boba! It's so yummy and it satisfies my sweet tooth because this drink is on the super sweet side. I also like their Okinawa, Hokkaido, and Oreo Ice Blended. They have a huge variety of options but I like to stick with my favorites. I also want to mention that I purchased their metal straws and I absolutely love them! There's 3 metal straws in total and 2 cleaners which comes in a cute black pouch. Pretty good boba tea establishment. You can only order via mobile at the moment and they will text you when your order is ready. I had a little difficulty completing my order because right before I was going to fill in my debit card details, the website was trying to load. It took so long that I just refreshed my browser. After I filled out the details and pressed to complete order, my order timed out and I had to redo the order again. I ended up somehow messing my wife's order up by choosing the wrong flavor, but she still liked her boba. I ordered the Mango Green Milk Tea with boba. It was pretty awesome and honestly I probably could have skipped the boba since it came with mango jelly. I usually rate an establishment by how well their boba is made and their boba pearls are top notch (soft)! read more

I appreciate how the staff are taking the pandemic seriously. However, the way they prioritize making drinks is annoying. They prioritize online drinks and any customers who are picking up their online drinks early (overheard conversation). It's annoying to wait for an hour just for 3 drinks. Update: I finally got my drinks after confronting an employee. I watched 2 out of 3 of my drinks being made and left alone. After 10min asked an employee and turns out another worker was making my drink but were clocking out. Whoever they were did not inform the other employee and I wasted another 10min just waiting. Consistent and solid boba place. Always some new combination to try. I recommend a coffee crema or any fruit tea with half or less sweetness. Milk teas are good too but they are all pretty similar tasting. Honey lemonade with aloe is a must on a hot day. read more

stopped by to try out the place while on break. I wanted to order some milk tea. After, placing my order the employee asked if I have proof of vaccination to finish my order. When I said "I don't have it," the employee asked "are you picking up an online order?" I said "no, I want to order to go." so I was denied service. I understand wanting customers to be vaccinated, but don't understand why I don't have to show proof to come in the store for an online order but have to show proof to order to go in store. My cravings are always satisfied when I come here. You really have to search far and wide to find decent boba near Vallejo, but always willing to sacrifice $6 toll to get my boba fix from Sharetea. Very popular location because I'm assuming others are also suffering from a boba dessert in East Bay. Expect some wait time and a crowded parking lot, but the staff always gets the drinks right and they do their best to make it speedy. My go-to is a black milk tea with 80% sugar with boba! It was 8:40pm and we walked by Sharetea and stood outside the window craving boba tea but didn't want to be f*cked up to go in right before closing. But as we stood there, the staff looked back out at us and literally waved hi!!! We walked in and the place was very clean. It was probably one of the cleanest COVID-19 conscious establishments I've been to since the pandemic STARTED. There was a plastic partition between staff and customers. Only one customer at a time, Santization between transactions, and our drink came out before we even finished paying. Everyone was so nice seriously. I was literally BLOWN AWAY and SPEECHLESS by the service and how clean it was!! We knew that this would probably be our go-to boba spot in the area but I didn't know how lucky we'd be. Dissapointed. Oreo ice blended with pearl tasted NOTHING like Oreos.. more like coconut which is not that bad if you like coconut but I was expecting it to be more Oreo flavored. I'll update my review when things change. I get that it's a new business in Hercules so there are new kinks to smoothen out. Walking in at 7pm on a Saturday night: there's a line of people waiting for their drink. I get up to the register to make my order, the lady at the register rushes through the process in an uncomfortable way. She went through the whole thing where I never got to insert my phone number as a returning customer. It happened so fast. The lady at the register seemed like she was in panic mode and customer experience was out the window. Whether or not she was the owner, this position needs to be filled with someone who can keep their cool. Maybe because other Sharetea locations (Concord and Alameda) have it all together and treat customers perfectly, it makes this new location look like a struggle. I'm trying not to be harsh, Hercules is a small city and we should all support each other! Everything starts with customer service though, I just hope they get it together sooner than later. Don't rush me just because you're behind, it's not my fault. 20 minutes later I finally get my drink. This review would be a 1 star review but at least the drink was good enough. Overall I just feel like this place was opened by someone who has no background or experience with milk tea, coffee shop, restaurant, or anything related to customer service. It lacked experience completely. Imagine going to a barber shop owned by someone who isn't a barber, a car repair shop owned by someone who never worked on cars... that is how it feels in here. ShareTea was advertised to be opening for the past year, within that year every employee should have been well prepared before opening. There is no excuse to why productivity is so slow. read more

I understand that they've been opened for less than a month but there are some issues I find that needs to be worked on: 1. Their method of making the drinks is not time efficient. As a current employee of a busy milk tea shop in SJ, I find it best to bust out orders not only efficiently but also quickly. I noticed that drinks that have more than 1 flavor like their Hawaii Tea, each fruit syrup is added one at the time and then mixed with a spoon. That's what shakers are for! Shakers are so great to mix your teas! I got their Hawaii Tea today and it was extremely sweet when I only asked for 80% sweetness. The barista may have either forgotten how much they had already put or just put too much. I waited a total of 35 minutes just for my drinks today. 2. Drinks are lukewarm: Adding ice after mixing just the tea can result to the bottom of the cup, which is where you tend to drink first because of the straw, can create an uneven temp. Since the ice stay up top, only the top will be cold, whereas the bottom will be lukewarm. 3. Make use of all of your employees in the front of the house: Although it's understandable for the employees in the back to stay there but I noticed the cashier stayed at the register. If there's no one to take an order from, it's always best to utilize your time and help your team. This chain has so much potential and I will be making another visit when I come back to the Bay Area and I hope there will be improvement because I do enjoy the Sharetea chain. read more

Found this place during my "need a boba" drink late night. They have a lot of flavors but don't make my favorite Lychee and Taro. They also don't do the slushy style drinks. You'll be in a long line so get ready to wait. They have an option to order by phone which looked great to try. I'll have to look into that for my next drink. Waited a few visits before giving a review. I understand there's an ebb and flow to the crowd and sometimes you happen to arrive when there's already a bunch of orders in. But I think the team is still learning and can only get more efficient. However, there are two things I hope can be fixed. First, like others have mentioned, the sweetness levels are off. I've ordered 80% and 50% sweetness levels on the fruit teas and they taste sweeter than I would hope the 100% would even be. My boyfriend had a 30% drink and it was sweeter than my 50%. I visited the Concord location and the 50% was spot on. You could taste the tea without being overpowered by syrup. Second, I'm not a fan of stacking the cups after taking orders and placing the stickers. The cups have been handled on the outside by the cashier and then placed on the inside of another cup. Even if you have clean hands I wouldn't want someone else's cup touching the inside of mine before the drink is poured. Aside from these two things, service is definitely friendly and you can tell everyone's trying. I plan to visit whenever I need a boba fix but may wait it out for the kinks to be worked out first. read more

Soooo happy this location opened. I always had to go out of my way to Concord or Berkeley to get my boba fix, but this location is only five minutes away from my home! Employees are nice and have always apologized for the wait time, which I don't mind at all. They'll get faster with time. Drinks taste great. Only thing I wish would change is that they'll let me have my taro ice blended with Oreos blended in!! We have been here at least once a week since the soft opening. Today has been the quickest turn around. I was 3rd in line and was at the counter to order in about 90 seconds. Bernadette was there and greeted me and other customers in line. (I understand that Bernadette and Jeff, her husband, are the business owners). In fact I have seen both Jeff and Bernadette there every time, which is nice. I ordered 5 different drinks for our group, all with different sweetness levels, ice levels, and toppings. After payment, it only took 2 1/2 minutes for all my drinks to be ready. I observed as the staff communicated to one another well as orders were placed and while drinks came down the line. They all appear to be more efficient. I have only experienced an extended wait 2 of the 9 times I've been there. Each time included a 10-15 min wait in line and up to 20 min to receive 3 drinks. Luckily we weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us, but it was obvious that some people were not happy. If my visit today is any indicator of their base efficiency and customer service, their future at this location should be a bright one. I'm looking forward to being able to order ahead via phone/app and delivery services in the future. read more

Sharetea just passed their soft opening so I'm sure they're working out some kinks. From waiting in line, to ordering, to getting my drink in my hands took about 45 minutes total. Which is a bit ridiculous but considering again they're new and getting into their rhythm I didn't mind. What I did mind was my watery taro milk tea. Was really hoping that the drink would be spot on but unfortunately no. Thankfully the pearls and friendly service made up for the meh tea. You really can't beat the convenience and I'm hopeful with some time their drinks can be as awesome as the other sharetea locations. I noticed this place while driving through the parking lot. I had no idea there was a milk tea shop in this area. I tried a new flavor, and this will be my go to flavor from sharetea. The milk tea was dark and delicious. Many places put so much milk that there's not much tea but this had equal amounts. The staff was nice and the venue was spacious. My family and I come here too often. I've been waiting to write this review because it is a new business, and I thought it fair to let them work out their kinks. The drinks themselves are great. In the beginning, they definitely were not consistent, but now they get our orders down right every single time. The service is much faster, and it seems like they're really getting into the groove of things. For me, what makes this place 5 stars is the care you see going into their service and their quality. I'm telling you, we go OFTEN. At least 3 times a week, if not more. I always see the owners in there working. Helping everyone of their team members. If they don't know what to do, they'll figure it out and communicate it to you. If there are mistakes, they take ownership and apologize and make it right. I've seen them, now I'm talking about the entire team here, work when it's really busy/stressful, and when it's not very busy, and the customer service is always consistent.
