Teaspoon is still one of my favorite boba spots! I enjoy their large menu with so much to choose from.
Better experience with the drinks this time around! The owner mentioned we could've had the drinks remade if we weren't satisfied. We had already left last time but good to know for the future. First time meeting the owner today. Did notice he was patient with new customers and wasn't dismissive at all. Will continue to come back as Teaspoon is pretty much the best in the area for me. .
Swung by Tea Spoon today and ordered three drinks: the double Matcha, Thai Tea, and classic Milk Tea. I tried the Matcha and got it at 25% sweetness. The lower sugar level was perfect, not too sweet and really let the tea flavor come through. Being in LA for the past 4 years, I've had my fair share of good matcha, so I was pleasantly surprised by how solid theirs was. It had a rich, earthy flavor and a smooth finish. Honestly, it's one of the better matchas I've had in the area, especially from a chain. The Thai Tea was bold and creamy, and the Milk Tea was smooth and classic. Both were great choices if you want something more familiar. My only complaint is that the matcha came in a noticeably smaller cup even though it cost more than the others. A little disappointing, but the quality made up for it. The space had good vibes. Clean interior, friendly staff, and board games available made it a fun spot to chill. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
Came back to try the cotton candy machine!!! Such a cool experience. You get to pick your design and then the machine does the work for you. The staff was kind enough to give me a bag to transport it. Lemonade was delicious with the right amount of ice and sweetness. Always a great experience

We really like this location. They have a lot of drink options and variations to choose from. They allow you to choose your sweetness level and ice level which I appreciate. This spot is bright and clean with lots of seating as you wait for your boba. They have a kiosk to order from but you can also order from the counter. So far everyone I have encountered working there is really nice, and work quickly in orders. I usually get 2 bobas, a milk based and a tea based option. I tend to order their Dirty Ube but I also enjoy the Black Sugar Assam, Matcha Royal and the Silky Mango. For the tea based drinks I tend to go for the Lychee on Lychee, Guava Sunset or Lady Bug. 0% sweetness and less or no ice. Every drink I have had I have enjoyed. Definitely a great boba spot! When we go to parties we usually bring a tea traveler :)
Not quite as many customizations as other boba spots offer (they primarily specialize in fruit tea), but their options are really good. I particularly like the lemonade with a splash of guava, and add the strawberry jelly or osmanthus jelly. Yum!
I worked with Teaspoon for a company catering event and they were amazing. The owner was super accommodating to let us try flavors and adjust the drinks on sweetness. An additional perk is that the creamer they use is dairy free for most of the drinks, which was nice for our lactose intolerant coworkers! The grasshopper was my favorite drink -- it may not sound the most appealing since there's cucumber in the drink, but it's delicious! We also had the lychee on lychee (less sweet and stronger tea flavor), guava sunset, house milk tea, and liquid gold (thai tea).

I stopped by to buy drinks for myself and friends. The place is pretty spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly and drinks are pretty consistent. My favorite is the Grasshopper. I've been eyeing on the glass tumbler and finally bought it this time. Price wise it's pretty affordable. I got the star pattern. I can't wait to use it! Plenty of parking spaces. By the way, the toilet paper here is pretty thick. Good choice!

Love this spot! This is the 2nd time I've been here and it's still pretty cool. It wasn't very busy so we were able to place our order pretty quickly. The person beind the register was very informative and helpful while my sister attempted to figure out her order. The place was clean and bright and I loved the bubble tea balloon decorations on the tables. We ordered the Goosebumps Vanishing Matche Latte and the Guava Sunset with mango jelly. Both were absolutely delicious and worth the drive!

Ordered: Taro lover Taro with taro chunks 6.50 Added boba .75 This is my new favorite drink. I didn't have to adjust the sweetness. There's no option anyway. Lol. The sweetness was just right. The Taro chunks were yummy. The staff were nice and were on top of it. They got orders out fast. Customers can order in kiosk or with a person. Plenty of seats both outside and inside. There's a cotton candy machine, snacks and treats. There are few games available. I like the ambiance. It's chill and bright. It's fitting for a young crowd and families. read more

We wanted to have Boba and decided to try this place in Pinole. The place looks fresh and very clean. It's also wide open and they have several chairs and tables for dining in. They have a big signboard where customers can see the different kinds of boba they serve. They have regular as well as some signature drinks. Since this was my first time here, I opted for their signature drink -Silky Mango. This boba tasted so refreshing and you can taste real mango. The boba is soft and fresh also. I enjoyed this drink and was glad to choose one of their signature drinks. Once I come back, I'll try some of their other signature drinks as well. read more

New Teaspoon location and a new boba spot in Pinole! One thing I love about teaspoon is that they seem to be pretty consistent at each other their locations. This location seems to be pretty up to par with other locations I've been to. The jasmine and Thai tea were more tea forward which is good! They are true to what sweetness levels you ask for. I've fallen victim to requesting 50% sweetness at other boba shops and still having my drink be overly sweet. That was not the case with my creamy jasmine! The inside is very spacious and clean with a good amount of seating. And board games are spread out throughout the tables. Great start! I'll be back when I'm in the area. read more
1/13/24: it's grand opening! I'm bias because I love Teaspoon (it's a franchise), so I found out they have grand opening today. The owners are all approachable and welcoming (Armond, Mark). The place is spacious, and it's the first Teaspoon that I actually saw have wifi (that's how I'm writing this review, on my laptop). My go to's are always lady bug (passion fruit green tea) and grasshopper (lychee green tea). Classic thai tea is also tasty and long lasting for me. Additionally, there is always an option for non-diary milk. read more

Let it slide before but this is the 2nd time it happened to me in this location. Asked for less ice, got like 70% ice on my drink. I had my doubts when I picked up my drink so I asked the server, is this really less ice and she said yes. Kinda disappointed. Update: business' response confirms that they do put this much ice on the drinks...hence the low review. My review reflects the disappointment at the amount of ice placed in the drinks, not about the server putting too much ice. The drink is pretty pricey for the amount you get. That's why i put "kinda disappointed". read more

High School or College students should check out Teaspoon. The drinks here are fantastic! The third Teaspoon I have chdck out in the Bay Area (the first was in Walnut Creek then Concord). The inside of Teaspoon is amazing. A much better inside compare to Walnut Creek. The second location that has the self kiosk to order drinks. My Paradise Lime is great! It was made to my preference. Not too sweet, but great! I shall return to Teaspoon in Pinole. The city had struck gold with great drinks! read more
I'm so happy they opened one of these in the area. I love Teaspoon because of their unique drinks. My go-to drinks are: - Lychee on lychee - Strawberry matcha royale - Dirty ube ^ These are in order of light to heavy/decadent. The staff have always been super friendly and they work quickly. The place is kept clean and they have a few board games sitting around so you can come hang out with your friends here. Very cute spot and located in a plaza with lots of good shopping! read more

The shop itself is nice and clean and the staff was good. The drinks are usually a hit or miss. Most of the time its very watery and your drink will have a TON of ice. It just depends I guess on who is making them. read more

Came in to two cashiers chatting at the front and I was not even greeted when I came up. Chairs were left unorganized. Not too big a deal but the breaking point was the terrible tasting drinks they served. I ordered a Black sugar assam just the regular way, no modifications. It tasted so watered down. there weren't even ice left in my drink within seconds of them serving it. read more

Havent had the chance to update my review, but just wanted to hop on and say that Mark (the owner), was really nice and personally reached out to us after the misunderstanding. We were able to contact him ahead of time and get our drinks this time around. Matthew, who was the cashier that day, was also great & welcoming. Was pleasantly surprised to see that they had the new Grapefruit Series on the menu (considering they didnt have the Honey Series last time). We tried the Mango Grapefruit Swirl-- the grapefruit was a tad bitter and overpowering, but that's beyond their control. Got my usual White Grape Oolong Tea w/ lychee popping boba; highly recommend. Wasnt a big fan of the taro lover, but that was probably bc we opted for no ice (they still filled it up to the brim though, unlike some boba spots-- so that was noted and appreciated). The ladybug was overly sweet at 100%, so Id recommend going with a lower sweetness level. Overall, glad that we were finally able to try their drinks and give them a more deserving Yelp review/rating. Mark also followed up after our visit to see how things went which was kind of him.
