Omg, how have I not written a review for Lemon Gals yet?! I swore I wrote one?! Lemon Gals is the spot for coffee, lemonade, tea, and desserts in San Pablo! They are located inside the San Pablo community center, so it may be a bit confusing trying to find them at first. I enjoy their monthly drink specials, which are so creative and tasty! Their desserts are also delicious and sell out pretty quickly. They post their desserts on Instagram in the morning, so you know what they have available for the day. You can also pre-order their desserts for events and holidays! They used to have gorditas, which were sooo good! The only food item they sell now are quesadillas, which I haven't tried yet. I'm not surprised that some people don't know they exist, so I always try to spread the word about them whenever I can! Truly a hidden gem in San Pablo. The girls are also very sweet. read more

A great pick me up spot for something refreshing, a caffeine fix, or something sweet! My favorite here is the Chocolate Thunder! Be warned that the regular size comes with 2 shots of espresso and the large size comes with 4 shots of espresso. I recently started adding the strawberry foam to it and it elevated it so much. The strawberry foam is rich in taste and not too sweet so it balances out the chocolate and coffee perfectly. If I'm looking for something refreshing I go for the Sweet Basil or Pearfection. Both with an in-house made purée that add a great taste to the tea lemonades. They also offer add ons at an extra charge: chamoy, tajin, mango star jellies. They also have a variety of quesadillas that are made with a handmade flour tortilla and all pressed in a panini press which gives it a nice crunch. My favorite is the turkey one which comes with a jalapeño cheddar cream cheese that gives it a little kick. The pastries vary from day to day but if you see cinnamon rolls I suggest you get one! They're so fluffy and not too overly sweet like the typical ones. Staff is welcoming and friendly. They always answer questions and suggest different drinks/pastries depending on what you like. My recent visit revealed a shocking disregard for quality, serving an undrinkable beverage masquerading as an Americano and selling it at an unconscionable price. To make matters worse, they denied a basic necessity like water and offered pastries that were not only overly sweet but recognized by my professional experience as a pastry chef to be reheated and stale. Yum, so delicious! I tried the Mango Raspberry tea lemonade and the Strawberry Mint tea lemonade. Both were sweet without being too sweet and refreshing. I also tried their cinnamon roll, which was soft with a really nice cream cheese icing, and their s'mores cookie which the person who was ringing me up warmed up for me. Both treats were delicious without being too sweet. There are tables to eat inside and the area is clean. The people who gave me my food and drinks were super nice and friendly. First of all, I have been here multiple times before and never had a problem. Drinks are tasty and good but as a previous barista, I can definitely understand frustration when dealing with customers all day. All I asked was a simple question and the lady in the front cut me off while I was talking and even gave me attitude and I was being extremely respectful towards her from the beginning till the end of the interaction. I don't appreciate feeling disrespected especially when I felt as if I did nothing wrong to deserve that. I hardly leave reviews but this left a bad impression on me and my friends. Stopped by Lemon Gals for a little afternoon pick-me-up! We tried the Matcha After No Sugar, Dulce de Leche, Tiramisú, and the Banana Extravaganza. We added two shots of espresso for an extra kick. The thick mascarpone topping in the Tiramisu was next-level creamy and paired perfectly with the espresso. Next time we're definitely getting the Mexican Mazapán drink, now that we know it's gluten-free so my wife can enjoy it too. The pastries are just as worthy of the spotlight and worth a return trip on their own. The girls working there were super sweet and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. Lemon Gals is located inside the San Pablo Community Center. You can't miss it going through the front entrance. I could see that the drink/food prep areas looked clean and well-maintained. Signage was appealing and clear, and the small decor pieces gave the place a nice touch without overcrowding the counter space too much. I ordered a regular size iced Olla with almond milk. The lady running the place at the time was polite and explained to me what an Olla was first before I ordered it. The latte tasted great, wasn't too sweet, and gave me caffeine fix I needed. I also tried one of the alfajores which literally melted in my mouth. It had the perfect ratio of cookie to filling, and had a gentle sweetness to it that was really satisfying. I don't usually like shortbread-style desserts, but the ones from Lemon Gals are an exception for me. Prices are a bit steep for certain items, but the quality makes up for it. There's a bunch of other items on the drink menu and food/dessert menu that looked appealing, so I'd definitely come back. read more

Drinks are super tasty I love the variety of coffee drinks and a non coffee drinks. Everyone is always extremely nice and welcoming. Only wish they were open on Sundays and earlier than 9am! Regardless it's a great treat when they are open and glad it's walking distance from home! The Dubai Chocolate cinnamon role is everything.. literally crave it all week but no where do they offer it but at Lemon Gals. Highly recommended! I have 1 word. GORDITAS My boyfriend and I were recommended this place for coffee..but honestly we come back for the Gorditas. Just 2 are enough to fill me enough. The dough is sooo soft and fluffy. I love the cheese and the salsa they use reminds me of my grandma's. The coffees are pretty good too and we've have some pastries..but..GORDITAS Once again this is their standout item. Lemon Gals is located in a community center...so be sure you know that before hand or else you will think your GPS is lying to you. I wanted to love Lemon Gals, but I think their coffee might be aimed at a different audience. I stalked their menu prior to my visit and all of their latte flavors sound very intriguing. I decided to get the iced dulce de leche latte and made the mistake of not trying it until I was very far away. The barista was HEAVY HANDED when it came to the amount of sugar in my drink. I found this hidden gem on Yelp when I needed a latte for an early morning appointment in Richmond on my way back to Alameda. This quaint coffee place is located inside a local community center. Luckily, the Yelp address has been updated and is accurate. My Ola Latte was darker than I saw on other portrayed Yelp reviews but I ordered with oat milk so I don't know if that makes a difference. They were out of most pastries at this hour --1pm. I love tres leches and I got a take home box. It wasn't the best I ever had but it was decent. It's out of direction so probably won't seek out this place again but it was a good coffee shop. read more

I have been here twice now. Both times have been good. Came here with some of my coworkers. I ordered the mazapan drink. I usually always order my drinks iced but tried the hot mazapan. IMO it tastes better hot. I also tried the concha and I liked that it was soft and fresh. The second time I came was with my little sister. Enter the building and they will be on your left! Gorditas are available almost every day except Fridays are birria nachos! At least for right now in July 2022. Super lovely humans running this spot and you can feel the love in every sip and bite. They have a few types of pastries in the cold case for your choosing and one or two savory snacks as well. The gorditas were so tasty and the perfect snack! I got everything on mine and it was ooey, gooey, and flavor central in my mouth! It is messy and worth it in every way! The creamy and flaky pastry I got was light and refreshing, not to mention pretty too! I got a hot olla latte and it hit the spot. All of their drinks look good from lemonade to lattes! My most recent choice of caffeine addiction. This place is in a community center and has a couple of tables to do work but it's very quiet and I'm not even sure they have music. Baristas are always warm and welcoming, my go to drink used to be the Chocolate and Thunder but switched to the Tiramisu which was so popular it became an addition to the set menu. Desserts are always good and in my opinion are a little on the sweeter side so keep that in mind. Pro tip, they sometimes try out new specials and are very active in updating through their Instagram page "Lemon.gals" and will notify if operating at different hours instead of their usual schedule. read more

What a hidden gem! It took a few tries for us to find this place which is nestled inside the community center. It was really nice to find a coffee shop with such unique options~ We weren't familiar with their menu and the workers there kindly answered all our questions. We ended up getting a hot olla latte (Mexican style coffee with piloncillo sugar and cinnamon), sweet basil (peach purée) tea lemonade, and pear-fection (pear and rosemary purée) tea lemonade. They were all so flavorful and not overly sweet! We also tried their flavor bomb gorditas with stretchy cheese, spicy pork, beans, and crisp tortilla edges~ which were so delicious and makes for a perfect snack. I wish I took photos of everything but we inhaled everything too quickly ~ maybe next time :) This place is definitely worth visiting and we can't wait to go again the next time we're in the area! read more

My new favorite go to local coffee shop! They have a great variety of hot and iced coffee drinks with unique flavors! I tried the dulce iced latte and it was perfect! I love sweet coffee and theirs was very sweet! They also have snacks and desserts. The cheesecake was FIRE! I definitely want to try the cinnamon rolls next time! Be careful when coming for the first time because it is a little easy to miss. It is located inside the community center that is literally next door to a highschool.
