This review for Sharetea is long overdue. They are located is in the quieter part of the downtown Concord area. There is a parking lot, street parking, and a parking garage nearby as well. There is plenty of seating here for those who want to sit here, but their bathroom is closed to the public. I ordered a green milk tea with boba and it was bland and watered down, unlike at their other locations. The service is horrible here as well. One of the girls working has a lot of attitude and should not be working in a customer/food service job. After placing my order, I waited patiently for my milk tea and after awhile I looked over to see if my drink was done, I saw a drink on the counter that looked like it could be mine, so I walked over to the counter. I did not hear anyone call any names or numbers, and I did not want be rude and touch the drink just in case it was not mine, so I tried to get one of the employees standing closest to the counter. When I nicely asked her about the drink, she snapped at me if I even looked at the number, but I told her I could not see it because the label was facing her way. She proceeded to tell me that she called my number out and I said I did not hear it, but she kept arguing and insisting that she called it, and I had to tell her again, I probably did not hear it if she did. After all that unnecessary drama, she checked the drink and it was my drink, so I took it and left. read more

Sharetea is my favorite go-to boba place. They have great tasting drinks AND it's consistent! It's also 5 min away from my house so it's super convenient to go here whenever I'm craving boba. I usually order the passionfruit orange & grapefruit tea with boba. It's refreshing and I love that the fruit flavors are strong. They also use some real fruit I believe so you'll find some pulp and passionfruit seeds in your drink. I hate it when the tea flavor is overpowering at some boba places but they dont skimp on the fruit flavoring here. I also occasionally order the handmade taro with fresh milk and boba and it tastes heavenly. It's made with real taro and it's so much better than the usual taro milk tea which contains artificial taro powder. I have also ordered the strawberry ice blended w/lychee jelly and icecream (sub lychee jelly with boba) and the lime mojito and these two are also top tier. The line gets pretty long sometimes so order ahead online on their website and just pick it up inside without waiting in line if you're on a time crunch! This tea shop has been around here for a while, and my friend just started going here not too long ago. I am going to say that their drinks are tea-licious! We've been buying our to-go drinks, mine being the Coffee milk tea with sweet cream on the top no boba, and his being the Taro Milk tea with half mini and regular size pearls. Lately when we've been craving boba, this is one of the to-go shops. Customer service is nice, it's usually busy when we go there and we want to take that as a good sign. I mean my friend was staying over for a couple of days we literally came here everyday cause we were craving their milk teas! Customer service here is always top notch. All the workers are friendly and drinks come out fairly quick. The drinks here are for the most part consistent, but some flavors are just okay. If you get the Whole Fruit Series, the whole lime is sour at 80% sweet FYI. My bad. I had to take a sip of my guy's pineapple black tea with a gulp of my whole lime for me to not have a pucker face. We were surprised and delighted to see that there was plenty of parking in front of the store. The surrounding area has horrible parking, so we were unsure if we would be able to find parking. We ordered the Oolong Pearl Milk Tea (80% sweetness) and Honey Black Milk Tea (less ice), both with pearl. The brown sugar pearl was cooked well and our teas were yummy. The atmosphere was inviting and we felt comfortable sitting in the store for an hour just talking and having a good time. The owners of this store and their Livermore & SR location have it setup so you have to buy 14-15 drinks before you get 1 reward (free drink). You get 1 point per dollar, and you need 60 points before you get a free drink. FYI, they also round your points DOWN. So a $4.79 drink is only 4 points! Come on? Why not just stick to the buy 10 get 1 free like everyone else? Their drinks are also more than the other locations. Dublin ShareTea is $3.75 for a classic milk tea. Outside of that, if I wanted quality drinks and better boba, then ShareTea is the place. And the consistency of the boba and drinks seems pretty good. I always get the Blended Mango Slush, never disappointed. But again, other ShareTea locations with different owners are lower prices and stick to a normal customer loyalty system. read more

I ordered a red bean and matcha milk tea except I took off the red bean and added boba pearls instead. I normally do not order matcha or boba pearls when I get a tea so 2 new things for me this trip! I was so pleasantly surprised by my order! The matcha was really good! It didn't have the fishy earthy taste you can get when it's made incorrectly. Instead it was super creamy with a nice earthy undertone to offset the sweetness. I also really liked the boba pearls! Usually it is a texture thing for me so I try to avoid them but these boba pearls had some great chew and were not slimey. The flavor was really good too! Located across the street from Todo Santos Plaza in downtown Concord, Sharetea is the third well-known Taiwanese bubble tea chain to land in Contra Costa County (Quickly and I-Tea being the other two). To me, Sharetea's opening in Concord reflects a continual trend of Asian establishments opening in CCC. Being a longtime resident of the county, I certainly welcome it. My brother and I both had a day off today and we decided to go grab a cup. We arrived a little after 4:00pm today and found a small line outside the shop. While standing in line, I noticed the place was spacious and clean. There were six tables or so inside the establishment. The drink menu was displayed on a couple flat screen TVs. A staff of six people were hustling behind the counter. Much like my favorite bubble tea place Gong Cha in Fremont, the line moved veryyyyyy slowly. But this gave us time to look over the menu. When it was our turn to order, we decided to get: - Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea (Caramel Toffee, $3.75, less ice) - Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea (Roasted Brown Sugar, $3.75, less ice) ++NOTE: just like Gong Cha, you can customize your sweetness and ice level.++ Our drinks took about 10 minutes to come out. My Hokkaido milk tea was excellent. The tapioca balls were chewy and I could taste both the caramel toffee and the tea. My brother enjoyed his drink as well. He told me he thought the brown sugar would make the drink very sweet, but that was not the case. The staff was very friendly and polite. The girl who took our order clearly explained everything to me. Parking was not an issue for us, as we found a spot across the street. There is also a small parking lot adjacent to the establishment. I feel like a 5-star rating is justified since they are on par with Gong Cha (which I gave five stars to). Sharetea is a welcome addition to Concord. Boba places are sprouting like mushrooms in the city, so it was only in due time that the East Bay gets a Sharetea outpost. Less than a ten minute walk from Concord BART station, I'm happy that I can get my hands on boba even without having a car. The place is big with plenty of seating and parking is not an issue, unlike SF! Whenever I come to Sharetea, I usually feel the need to deviate from my usual Okinawan with boba at 50% sweetness. I've tried other options like the classic black milk tea, Hokkaido (caramel toffee) and coffee. (I don't have the desire to try any of the creama offerings since those seem like a sugar bomb) None satisfies my taste for milk tea, like the roasted brown sugar flavor of the Okinawan, so now, I pretty much stick to that. So although I would have given this place 4 stars for its boba, they did not get my order right and they actual charged me more for the item I didn't order. They did offer to fix the drink and potentially give me my money back, but I was already disgruntled, so 3 stars for now and I'll see if my subsequent trips will get it back up there. We arrived at ShareTea, there's a few street parking spots and I think there's a private parking area. We got lucky and got a spot on the street. Walking over, I thought...it's much smaller than I envisioned, but I guess it's bigger than Gong Cha in Fremont! There were three workers, one at the cash register and two others making drinks. They hand craft the drinks which is nice and you can specify the sugar and ice content. Now mind you, I'm very picky with my boba drinks and very cautious about sugar content. I always take 0% sugar and no ice. This tells me if they over brew their tea and how sweet their boba is. The person at the register was quite polite and great service...that was where it stops since when I ordered, I specifically stated, Classic Green Tea, not Milk Tea, with pearls. I was charged ~ $4 and I was scratching my head thinking...I wasn't expecting a $4 charge as the drink was $2.75 + $0.50 for boba. I didn't think too much of it cause I figured maybe there's tax (which there was). Then when they gave me my drink, it was Green milk tea...*sigh* I was like, so, I ordered a normal green tea. I'm sure I'm not the norm, but listen to your person ordering. Maybe they have milk digestion issues =P So I waited again and got my drink. I had to say something snarky until they offered to do something about the wrong order to give back my money, but I was already disgruntled that I figured it's a "tip." I got back to my work desk and started drinking the tea. It's definitely quite strong and bitter. So if you don't like bitter overbrewed green tea, get it with milk or add water, though I added a lot of ice and it's still quite strong. The amount of boba they do give is quite impressive about a third of the drink is boba which is a plus. The size of the drink is typically a large at other places so that's the price of what you're paying for. The boba itself is slightly mushy, some of them undercooked, some of them perfect, but overall not too shabby. Eaten alone, it has a small hint of sweetness. So what can I say about 0% sugar and no ice? They do mean it here. It's definitely not sweet which is how I like it. How do I compare this place to say Quickly? Quickly has price hands down. If I had a boba addiction (which recently I have), I'd go to quickly just due to pure cheapness and okay quality. If I wanted quality and perhaps fancier boba, then definitely ShareTea wins. Will I be back? Yes, as I'm curious to taste their High Mountain Green Tea Creama and compare it to 85 degrees. Will I be here often? Workers are not fast - there are some good ones but the others are slow AF and have no urgency to tend to the long line. After being open for server all months now, I think this place deserves 4 stars now. This is the only boba place in the east bay that is worthy enough to be recommended. I am now in love with the taro ice blend and taro milk tea with boba of course. Second option is honey milk tea, and if all fails a passion fruit tea. Their boba is really flavorful and chewy. That's something I personally enjoy. This place has gotten major improvements, and the owner actually cares about your opinion. It was an adventure for me as I am not from the Concord area. My brother introduced this place to us. When we first walked in, I obviously noticed a lot of people lounging and also the noise is very loud and busy. The line was long when we walked in and then it died down. The environment looked pretty clean and the interior design has a modern feel to it. I got the Matcha Green Tea Creama 30% sweetness and with Pearl. The wait took very long. At least for me it took a long time to get my drink. But I have to consider that when we ordered, there was a lot of people in line before us. So that would be understandable. When we finally got our drinks, the first thing we wanted to do was the leave the place because it was really noise with people talking and I recall the music being very loud. Never since being opened have I've been disrespected at this location. I'm beyond irritated as I write this review. I came in around 7:30 to order my usual drink. I only ever get the same exact drink. Strawberry peach tea with extra strawberry jam. Everything went smooth until I watched my drink being made with only 1 shot of jam instead of two. I let the workers know hey I paid extra so I would like my serving of jam. Let me just say that it's about time Todos Santo Plaza and the area near it had a boba place. Like, boba, bubble tea, whatever you want to call if has been IN for years now. Park & Shop has Quickly and even though it's a short walk from Todos to there, I'm called ShareTea has made it's way to this spot. Sure it replaces the Quiznos, but I think this was a smart investment. Not only do you have people coming from their jobs but you got people come from Mt. Diablo High School too. It's right by the other Los Gallos restaurant, Starbucks, and across the street from Bank America. It has it's own little parking lot behind the shop. There's about eight or ten. But if that's full, you can use any of the three garages in the complex, there's street parking, basically there's parking. You'll find it. You'll get a cross between a few seconds walk to a two minute walk. Big sign saying ShareTea. Inside is pristine clean and bright. There's a menu up above and in eye view as you enter the shop. There's also smaller menus as you get to the counter or on the right of the entrance by the straws. They got taro tea, strawberry, coconut, a ton of players that I can't name at the top of my head (that's why I took a photo). Just choose a flavor. Choose whether it will be tea or a ICE drink. You can adjust the sweetness too. 100 percent sweet to 0 percent sugar sweet. Same thing with the amount of ice. My go to drink here or any boba spot is their Oreo shake. They call it their Oreo Pearl ICE drink. You can't adjust the sweetness or the ice with this drink, but that's not a problem. It's absolutely refreshing to have. The Oreo flavor isn't overpowering. It's a right blend of the Oreos and the ice. OH and it comes with boba. WONDERFUL Now they have a rewards system. For every dollar spent, you get a point. Reach 15 points you get a free topping, and so on. It's easy to sign up. Just put in your number and there you go! Get the FiveStar app too. Helps you keep track. The price is not bad. You can count on paying about 4.50 for a drink. But the size is what Quickly calls large. Worth the the money. Lovely spot! I keep coming here. I'll probably never stop. Why? I've been here a few times and can't figure out what to order. I tried the Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea today with less sugar and little ice and it's just too sweet. Boba is fresh and chewy but something about drink is off for me. I think the sweetness is distracting from the tea flavor. I've tried a few other teas like Classic Milk Tea and Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea and it's just okay. The counter people are very helpful and nice. And they do work through the line quickly. We have been to this location plenty of times and always had a wonderful experience.. although today was different. The lady who took our order to begin with didn't seem to be very happy, we ordered Oreo blended w/boba and the strawberry blended w/lychee W/O the ice cream ( my daughter is allergic to milk and this one is her fav) split into two cups. I saw whoever it was making the strawberry drink put ice cream on top of each of the drinks. So once it was placed on the counter I kindly said we didn't want ice cream on either. The lady who took our order says oh sorry and took it back to fix. She ended up trying to scoop the Ice cream off and mix it in the blender but there was still obvious ice cream inside. Plopped in on the counter and left. Since I don't usually like to make a huge fuss I took it and left and got the remaining ice cream out myself. Mmm..probably one of the better quality milk tea places. This place is located in Todo Santa across from Bank of America, & one block away from Starbucks. It is where Quiznos used to be. The guy welcome me with a smile & even told me about the rewards. Both were very attentive & kind. As I ordered, the girl started to make the drinks. Awesome for the quick service! I really did not know what my other half wanted because he told me to order him the one with mango & ice cream. Confused, I told the worker the exact same thing. The employee knew exactly what it was. Thank goodness. Also, you are able to change the level of ice, sugar & sweetness. I got the Okinawa milk tea with boba, which is the regular milk tea. Its taste a only slightly different from the basic one like its really rich. Another drink I highly recommend if you aren't a big fan of milk teas is the passion fruit green tea with lychee. This is my absolutely my all time favorite anywhere!!! It is though sweeter. My other half got the mango slush with a scoop of ice cream. However the last 3 times I've been there I have found the same 3 strange things: 1) disorganization 2) the is always a worker sneezing like crazy (different guys) & 3) they don't ask you if you want certain items or what you want in it or not, they expect you to know which is ok for the daily or weekly boba drinker but not good for someone that is just trying new things. I know my drink and how I like if, but I noticed a couple people that were just trying it out and they didn't know they could choose jelly, remove the boba, or that they could choose how much ice they want etc. I think a little more customer service goes a super long way! read more

We ordered a Hawaiian tea 80% sweet and a Honey black tea with lemon, Lychee Jelly and large pearl 100% sweet. Both had regular ice. The Hawaiian tea was still too sweet for me at 80% however the flavor profile was a tropical delight. It had fruit chunks inside of it and the grapefruit taste was on hit. I added more ice and put in my own bottle and once ice melted a bit it was perfect! My daughter enjoyed her black tea and said the tea was bold and fresh. She commented the Boba were softer than we are used to, maybe too fresh lol, I'm the end through it was a winner. read more

I also recommend the Okinawa Pearl milk tea which is also very good, as well as the taro milk tea.
