3.5 stars. Good flavor on the Mango Royal Tea, but too sweet. The sweetness levels of the drinks are either 1) SUPER SWEET or 2) not prepared accurately. We ordered a "30% sweetness" which frankly tasted like what an 80-100% should be for any normal person. Very noticeably sweet still. We also ordered a "80% sweetness" which was too sweet, requiring us to cut the drink with some more water/tea. This is not my favorite T4 in the area. Their mango crema is not the same as the T4 in Walnut Creek. It's less salty which is weird because I think the drink is technically a Salted Creama. If you order through Door Dash, just know that their options are more limited there than the Walnut Creek T4. Honestly, my brother and I have been kind of obsessed with their drinks with cheese cream. You could pair that with any kind of tea, and it would be super delicious. The "cheese cream" topping, as the name might already suggest, is very creamy and adds a little bit of saltiness/savoriness to the overall flavor, snd that really balances out the sweetness from the tea. I still think their boba pearls are a little bit on the tougher/too chewy side and could benefit from being cooked more. But other than that, their drinks are pretty decent. It's still on my list to try their Popcorn Chicken, which my brother recommends. Hopefully soon. It's too bad that they still don't allow customers to sit down and enjoy their drinks inside the store. I absolutely love this T4 location! I think they recently went under new ownership due to some changes in interior and menu items/deals, but the drinks and wait times are consistent still. I forgot my loyalty punch card when I came in and asked for a new one, but was told they may not restock on them. The sweet pink-haired girl who helped me, Melodie, was nice enough to leave a note on my receipt to punch my card next time I come in. I hope they get a new loyalty system! I'm a lover of all things T4! I usually hit up the Concord location, but I love this location because it has so much more variety. Their drink menu is way more extensive here and they actually offer full on meals (ramen and such). My go-to drink at any T4 location has always been and will always be their avocado smoothie. It's just so addictive and ya girl just can't get enough! They really do their avocado smoothies justice. They use real avocado and it's always nice and thick and never too icy. Their milk teas are really yummy here too. Their coconut milk tea with coconut cream is insanely delicious! You can add so many different kinds of toppings and creams. I tend to keep it pretty basic, but every now and then I'll step outside of the box and add a new topping to my drink. The prices are a tad bit higher here than the other T4 locations nearby, but you cannot deny the high-quality tea and smoothies that they provide. I haven't yet tried any of their food but they always have meal deals and specials. They have discount days for certain drinks too. I'm signed up with their rewards program, so they send me emails with special offers and promotions. It's pretty spacious inside with lots of seating, and they keep it nice and clean. Another day, another boba run. T4 Clayton is just another T4 additional to an area that has an abundance of T4s all around this part of the Bay. Typically, to stand above the rest in this way, you would have to make yourself special, and try to stand above the rest. But in this case, all of the T4s in our area are, let's just say, lackluster, so to really be above them all you just have to be at least adequate. And I'm happy to say that this T4 at Clayton does indeed meet those expectations. T4 Clayton is the newest location out of the other T4s in the area. One thing to note is that if you plan to get drinks here, make sure you are headed there around noon, as this T4 opens at noon on weekdays, so if you were planning to try and get there early to beat the lunch rush, you're better off just getting there after noon since they would have just opened, and there wouldn't be anyone there yet anyways. I do wish this spot would open earlier on weekdays as I find myself in the shopping center periphery from time to time running errands, but can't get any boba here because it wasn't noon yet. The decor is about what you'd expect from a T4, but does feel somewhat cleaner than the other T4s in the area, including the one in Walnut Creek masquerading as a Japanese dessert shop. While that downtown location looks nice, it's usually pretty dirty, and poorly maintained throughout the day. Menu and price is the same as the other T4 for the most part, so won't really comment on that. Just be aware that T4 sizes are not as rewarding as some of the other boba places around, so a large here really is just a regular size at the non-T4 places. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. First the good: -Good tea. The tea here is actually pretty well made, and I can clearly taste the freshness of the tea, so that's a plus. Now, the meh: -The boba is okay. It doesn't taste like anything, no sweetness, no nothing, and the texture wasn't quite Q enough yet, as it was more mushy than Q. Not what I'm typically clamoring for when I think boba. -Though the tea was great, the milk was incredibly overpowering in the drink. Had it not been for the tea, I could've sworn I was just drinking watered down milk. It wasn't terrible, but not really milk tea, but milk with tea in it. Maybe it wasn't quite mixed well enough. The service here is friendly, and quick, so that wasn't an issue. Overall, T4 Clayton is alright. Out of all the T4s in the area, it's a battle between the top 2, but as mentioned before, that will only take you so far when it comes to the T4s in this area. If you're in this specific shopping center, and are craving boba, this is a decent option since the other Milk Tea Lab location off Clayton is not spectacular either, so still the better choice in my opinion for Clayton boba fans. Maybe like 3.5 stars really, but not quite enough to round it up to 4 yet for me. read more

Really disappointed when the T4 in Todos Santos closed, so this became my next T4 option. This one does have things missing from their menu such as Oolong tea, but they have a larger food menu to compensate. I ordered a drink from here and the service was fine. I overheard someone saying the lady at the register was the owner and she didn't even know how to operate anything plus she was extremely rude to her employees and was saying very mean things about an employee behind her back. Great spot for a quick boba drink! My favorite drink to order at any milk tea spot is a Hot Rose milk tea with Boba and aloe. Definitely hits the spot every time. Here they use non dairy creamer to make their drinks! Thank goodness. I also recommend trying their basil popcorn chicken; they always give a hearty portion and it's so tasty! The inside is nice and spacious. I think my friend and I came in on a good day and good time because there weren't too many people and there was plenty of seating. There are a few board games they have on hand too for their customers. To my surprise, unlike a lot of other milk tea spots that I've been to, T4 also offers matcha flavored drinks AND they have ramen!!! I noticed there was a male employee who made sure to say welcome and goodbye to everyone who came and went during the time my friend and I were seated and enjoying our drinks. Friendly staff! We ordered via DoorDash and surprised we were missing 1 milk tea order. I called the dasher and was told he was shown the bag with our order in it. I guess he didn't bother to look if it was complete. We called the store, spoke to someone and confirmed the missing order was still there. The person just said, "feel free to pick it up". So what was the point of ordering through DoorDash when we had to drive just to pick up the order they didn't include??? The store should've made sure the order was complete prior to showing it to whoever is picking it up especially, if it's through a food service. Very disappointed. read more

If you know me, then you know I'm a fan of T4. I usually go to the Downtown Concord location, but I've been frequenting this one lately. It is located inside the Clayton Valley Shopping Center. Parking wasn't too bad despite sharing the lot with a number of other businesses. The shop itself is bright and clean. There is a fair amount of seating and a few board games to play (at a later time, of course). I went with my usual order of Yogurt Green Tea. I also ordered the Fried Calamari and Basil Popcorn Chicken, which all came out in a timely manner. Overall, I'm glad there is another T4 location in the Concord/Clayton area. Snacks and drinks were good, and service was friendly. My only complaint would be that I noticed prices are more expensive here than other T4 locations, but they do offer promotions/discounts from time to time. read more

This is my favorite T4 location. You can tell the employees put a lot of effort and care into making the drinks. I also appreciate how accommodating they are to adjustments - for example, sometimes I ask for drinks less than 30% sweet, and even though this isn't an "official" sweetness level, they still do their best. I usually order honey peach royal teas and Jasmine or taro milk teas. They're great every time. Also! Really appreciate that the staff have solid customer service. I ordered an Earl Gray Milk Tea and it tasted extremely watered down. I went back to the store and asked them to remake it. The person in the front taking the orders was nice and apologetic hence the 2 stars but the person making the drinks gave me dirty looks. I'm not sure why as I was polite when asking if they could remake my drink. When I got my drink the second time, it was slightly better (had good sweet and milk flavor) but again seemed watered down (most likely the tea). I've been to many T4s locations and none of them taste like this. I felt extremely uncomfortable by the person who made the drinks and did not bother going back a third time. After running a few errands on a sunny day, we decided to order boba to quench our thirst. A quick call to T4 at the Clayton Shopping Center and our beverages would be ready in 8 minutes. We arrived and scored parking right in front of the store. I quickly put my mask on (the new norm!), paid for my drinks and I was out the door in no time. Service is always friendly here and the store is nice and clean. The drinks are great. My boba was a little too chewy this time around but it was fine.
