I don't normally leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the chance to stop by. The menu had a lot of items that looked good, but what caught my eye were the corn dogs. The photos on the menu showed Korean-style corn dogs, so I ordered the potato mozzarella corn dog. When ordering, I was informed that none of the corn dogs actually come with anything on the outside and are served plain. Not a huge deal, but it was disappointing since the photos advertised something completely different. I also ordered a piña colada smoothie, which was actually very good. It could have been a little thicker, but the flavor was great. After waiting over 20 minutes for my order, I finally received my food. For nearly $7, this was the corn dog I got. It was very disappointing, especially considering how it was advertised. Unfortunately, it also wasn't very flavorful. The smoothie was the highlight of my visit, but based on this experience, I probably wouldn't order food here again. I really appreciate that the tempura shrimp was not soggy or flavorless. The salmon and avocado were delicious too! I'm an avocado fan, so a few brown specs wouldn't bother me, but it stood o it just how green, ripe and fresh the avocado was. Makes a big difference when paired with a buttery fish. I'm not a huge takeout person i ordered here twice during an illness, and ended up going twice more in person. The peach boba tea is the best (I recommend the strawberry heart jellies) and the eel nigiri and shrimp rolls are great. The place itself is cute, bright and cheerful with attention to detail. This was my first time here and it was...not what I expected. I ordered one item which was almost $14. The Bahn Mi that I got was so small and only had 2 small tofus!! The prices are crazy and the food isn't that good. $14 for something that only has 2 tofus but is supposed to have way more is crazy. Never coming back here again. The staff here is friendly and the food is good. The kitchen could be organized a little better. I came here around lunch time on a Wednesday, I was the only person here. I got a Grilled pork and egg roll bowl and a dirty Thai tea drink. The pork was initially missing. I was super glad I didn't take the food to go and ate inside the shop. I thought it was odd so I asked the staff. They said the pork was underneath so I did more digging - nothing. I showed the staff and they apologized and immediately checked with the cook. They said it would come out in a few minutes. Indeed, they did come out and gave me the pork, and it seemed like pretty big portion as well - sure if it's the normal sizing or a make up amount. So I have bought sandwiches 3 times from here in the lasr 24 hours. That pretty much says it all. Bread was crunchy, meat grilled to perfection, and veggies fresh. Yum! My family also tried their polke bowls and gave it a thumbs up for flavor and freshness. We tried their strawberry yogurt drink and their peach tea. You can personalize your sweetness and ice level and toppings. Also excellent. It's not cheap but still pretty good. For 2 persons with a sandwich and bowl, sharing 1 drink was about $35. I'm a huge Banh mi fan! So when I spot a place I haven't visited yet, obviously I have stop and give it a try! Located in Clayton in the Safeway parking area located right off of Clayton Valley and Kirker Pass Rd. The ambiance is the first thing you notice as soon as you walk in. You can tell that they put a lot of time in effort in the ambiance and it certainly shows. It's unique, well done and very clean. Service was good and I ordered my usual special combo Banh Mi. The bread was fresh with a nice crust and light and airy inside. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Overall it was definitely one of the better Banh Mi's I've ever had. If you're a banh mi fan like me then you have to give this place a try! I'll be back! read more

I couldn't get past the bad experience I had with the staff named Diego when I was there. It was too bad because I liked bahn mi, and I always strive to support local businesses so I really wanted this local bahn mi shop to be successful. But the customer service at this place was really lacking to put it mildly. I noticed that they charged 3% extra for non-cash transactions which I would happily accept but there was no sign whatsoever in the store that informed their customers of that. I only found out about it when I checked out my receipt after the fact. So, after I made my purchase, I thought I would give constructive feedback by suggesting they put a conspicuous sign about the extra 3% charge. But a staff member named Diego started being defensive and said they didn't need to put up a sign because he claimed it was like that everywhere else, and he completely dismissed my suggestion. I was trying to tell him that was not the case at other places based on my experience, but he started to argue with me. Come on, that was just an honest constructive feedback; I didn't even try to get any money back or anything. Like I mentioned, I was happy to pay for it, I just would like to know about it beforehand. One surefire way to improve business is to continuously take in and respect customers' feedback - whether or not that feedback will be implemented is a different story; at the very least all feedback should be taken into consideration, not dismissed right on the spot. Again, it saddens me a lot to write this review, but at the same time I need to be truthful in telling my experience in my reviews. This bad experience left such a bitter taste in my mouth that it doesn't matter anymore how good their sandwiches were. This is all I could remember from this place. read more

I went here to check out this Boba sandwich place. The place used to be a Boba place, now it's a Banh Mi and Boba shop. The signage said Grand opening 07/19 and it said 10am10pm hours of operation on the door. I went in around 8:30- 8:40 and they already turned off the oven. I had ordered a Dirty Thai tea "coffee" with Oat-milk. I had also ordered a Tuna Poke bowl and a Brown sugar latte Milk tea. The Poke bowl was alright and the Thai tea was also ok. Both had great mango flavor. The smoothie had a great consistency. Boba was soft and chewy. Mango matcha latte had a rich mango purée and nice matcha flavor. Their boba is not brown sugar boba, more like honey boba. Also ordered a tuna poke bowl. My only gripe is I wish there was more fish. The pieces were really small. Interior is super cute with soft chairs and a few tables on the left and bench seating with square tables along the right hand side. Customer service was great. Cashier was welcoming and helpful with answering questions about their menu. They have a spin wheel that gives you a discount if you spend over $35, which is easy to spend.
