We went during the weekend for their lunch buffet where they have a wide variety of food other than pizza. They have a nice salad bar selection, fried chicken, mac n cheese, spaghetti, fried mojos (potato slices) , mashed potatoes and more! Shakey's has a large seating area with tvs so you can watch sporting events or even have your sporting teams have their gatherings here at the end of the season! The staff is friendly, the food is pretty darn good, its well kept in the dining area as are the bathrooms. There's even a gaming area the kids can hang out at and play. There's plenty of parking and located on Ynez as the same shopping center where AtHome is, See's Candy and more. Prices are reasonable for the lunch buffet and food is good. read more

My nephew and I ate at the Temecula location on 6/6/26. I'm giving this 5-star review based on customer service. The food and ambiance are what I would expect in a top notch Shakey's. The pizza is not the greatest on the planet, but it is better than I have had at other locations. To my surprise, the salad bar was also cleaner than most salad bars at similar establishments. Usually, you find toppings mixed, or a messy counter, but not here. Their service far exceeded my expectations. The attendant in the arcade assisted my nephew with choosing his prizes, thoroughly explaining his options. I know this took patience. Dawn was extremely helpful throughout the entire visit. Our pizza came out of the oven overcooked, but I definitely would not have complained. Instead of dropping it off and hoping for the best, Dawn gave us the pizza and informed us the pizza did not meet their standards and new pizza was in the oven for us. I find service like this is rare these days. I didn't even have a chance to complain as they made it right before I knew there was an issue. WEEKDAY BUFFET: $15.99 WEEKEND BUFFET: $16.99 There was so much food and great quality foods. Fresh pizza being made so there's no empty spots in the buffet area. Had to grab some Mac N Cheese, Fried Potato Slices, Fried Chicken and Spaghetti. I also grabbed another plate for some healthy options like a Romaine Lettuce Salad with BEETS and ARTICHOKE HEARTS. I love their salad dressing options: they have many and the one I love most is honey mustard... My hubby said it's like an American Shabu Shabu. I honestly thought the fried drumsticks were so moist and best I've had in a while comparable to Knott's fried chicken. Literally, this is the best kept secret in town! I remember eating shakey's in the Philippines when I was 3 years old. I was psyched to see it here after all these years. I thought it was a Philippine's franchise. Anyhow, this is one of my american food loving husband's favorite places to eat. He craves the fried chicken here often so we're here quite a lot. Can't beat the price for AYCE buffet for $14.99. He gets the fried chicken, pizzas, crispy mojo's (potato's), and the cinnamon bread bites and he's in heaven. lol They do have a salad bar and grilled chicken in the buffet if anyone wants to eat a little healthier. I went to a different restaurant before I came here, I didn't like the vibe so I came to Shakey's. I was greeted with a friendly face and a smile. I ordered the PCM Pizza, Chicken, Mojos combo. The lady told me that the chicken was made fresh and would take 22 minutes to cook. I thought that was nice that she let me know that it would be fresh and there would be a little bit of a wait. We went to this Shakeys for my mom's 77th birthday. There was 40 of us and when I tell you they were awesome. The manager, Dawn, was so helpful and patient when it came to ordering what we needed. A PIZZA FAV! It's all about the fun experience when you come to a Shakey's and this location has particularly grown on me over the years as it has some really nice staff! It's not as kiddie as a Chuck-E-Cheese but not as adult as a Dave-N-Busters, it's a happy medium! Actually, more skewed to adult diners haha. The game room was lively but not insane, it seemed fine. This Shakey's is particularly relaxed and has plenty of seating both in and outside! My party and I stopped by after a game and we had a great time in the outside patio. I couldn't bear the toilet smells inside today (which is pretty rare) so we opted to go outside. The patio was pretty clean, however a party next to us didn't get their table cleaned after they left, so trash was kind of just sitting there. Other than that, everything else was fine. We got the large one-topping pizza and a large side of mojos which easily served three adults. We also got three drinks and the bill came at around $46 and some change. I'm sad to give my favorite pizza 3 stars. But this last visit was an example of poor coordination of 3 items ordered. Pizza, chicken, and mojos. I ordered online for pickup. Says to wait until notified. I headed that way anyway and arrived without notification of completion. However, lo and behold my order is sitting ready for me in the warmer! A miracle! Got into car and headed a short drive away home. At home found pizza warm, chicken greasy but fairly warm, and mojos lukewarm, dry and crunchy. I'm used to the mojos causing blisters in my mouth, along with the chicken. I can only speculate that lots of my order was cooked at different times and sat in the warmer. Just imagine if I waiting for the signal my order was ready.... Bummer I spent allot of money on not fresh food. read more
