    K-Shack BBQ Burger

I usually avoid fast-food burger chains in California since In-N-Out is always an option, but I stopped by this Shake Shack for a BOGO deal on the K-Shack BBQ Burger. It was surprisingly delicious and juicy -- just sad to know that it's only on the temporary menu! The workers were also super friendly and the place was really clean. I'll definitely be back the next time I can get a good deal. :)

Shakes are nice, service is friendly and the outside seating is comfortable- all in all decent fast food experience although we only had shakes.

Food is always good here. I love the Chicken Sandwich and crinkle cut fries. Chicken is so crispy and juicy. Sometimes they also have special versions too. You can order through the screen or order with the employees. This location has its own parking... not a big lot though. Food came out fast. Employees are friendly.

I got the large Pomegranate Sweet Basil Lemonade and SmokeShacks. I really enjoyed the lemonade as it wasn't too sweet and I could taste just the right about of pomegranate and basil. The SmokeShacks were a bit too small for my liking but it tasted delicious. I would come here again if the food was not pricy.

It's been awhile since I had a Shake Shack burger, so I had to stop by when they're having a promotion. $5 shakes, $3 fries, and $1 drinks! We had a bogo deal on the burger so had to try it. Everything was great and fresh. The meat was thick and juicy, it was just super oily. The crinkle fries were great with no salt and we enjoyed it. Their root beer was one of the best I ever had. Good level of sweetness, rich, and super carbonated! I am glad they ensured their soda quality great! Fantastic. Parking a bit tough and burger is more oily than expected was my only negative. Everything else was great. The walk up ordering window is nice touch and glad to see they have patio dining option.

Food: 3/4 Service: 3/4 Ambiance: 4/5 Ordered smoke shake thru door dash for pick up, I arrived at the restaurant early and waited. Estimated ready time was kept delaying. After about 5-10 minutes I went up to the window and ask for my order. It had been ready and been sitting for quite some time. They need to stay on top of it. Now my fries are soft and burger was cold. Taste was ok but I would like to get more portion for the price.

Food- I ordered SmokeShack burger. It tasted good but very oily for my liking. The fries were good. Quality is good enough for the price of both burger and fries. Service- I went around 5-6pm; they took a bit long to make my order. But staff seemed friendly. Ambiance- place is clean and well-maintained with laid-back vibe.

I order a Carolina BBQ burger with fried pickles, spicy fries, regular fries, and Chick'n Bites. You order digital on a screen. The service was great. When my food was ready the staff brought it out and asked if I wanted anything else, which is very nice. I really like the taste of the Carolina BBQ burger. The fried pickles were a nice touch and the spicy fries were good. It would be great if they had something along the lines of a buffalo sauce. To add any spicy all they had was Tabasco sauce. Both the people in my party thought the Chick'n Bites were really salty. They weren't something we would eat again.

This location is on a corner with a very small parking lot of its own. A few handicap parking spaces and maybe less than 10 regular parking. We found parking on the street and walked down. They have a self kiosk to place your order or you can go up to the counter to place your order. You can grab a number card and attach that to your order. If not, they will call your name and bring that to you. There are 2 sets of bathrooms. The woman's restroom has two stalls and a baby changing table. The other restroom is good for any gender. It also requires a code to enter. As I grow in age, my stomach has decreased. I ordered a single BBQ bacon cheeseburger with fries and a coke. That was enough for me. Hubby ordered a double with a Dubai shake. He said it was so sweet it made his jaw hurt. It was a beautiful day to sit outside in the patio, but people in their cars on the street were extremely impatient, loud, and reckless. If noise level is what you are looking for, dont sit in the patio.

I got the special which was the French onion soup burger. Overall it was tasty. This spot is on the tiny side compared to others I have visited. Staff were friendly and helpful. I think the pick up window on the side is a nice touch. Overall a good experience.

$20 dollars for a terrible sandwich. BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich

I just ordered 2 of the new rib sandwiches. Absolutely not worth it and completely disappointing. Do NOT order this sandwich, there's notes of pickle, Salt not one drop of ribs character. The MCRib hands down over this 20 dollar flop.

Had to try the new chicken sandwich based on some vids. The sandwich is big and fillings over the soft bun, it's pretty tasty. The chicken is crisp and tender and juicy inside but a tad greasy. This is not a spicy sandwich but I feel it could have used a little cayenne.

Shake shack, the burger joint that originated from the east coast. Came to this location a couple times and tried the: truffle burger 10/10 cheeseburger with the mushroom cheese patty 10/10 fries 10/10 limited time Dubai chocolate shake 7/10 I love that they don't salt their fries but I wish they had black pepper that I could mix with the ketchup. Everything was delicious, however, I agree with the other reviewer that the burgers at this location are small. There's also limited parking here, about 10 spots where the store front is, and additional 6 or so spots behind their parking lot.

I'm almost speechless, but I guess I do have to write something don't I?…read more This legendary casual eatery is everything you want it to be: fresh ingredients, friendly service, delicious food and generous quantities. I don't know where they got the name for their fantastic Sycamore Sandwich, but it's a pastrami reuben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut, and it very well could be the best I've had outside of New York. Thin, mostly lean pastrami stacked with Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and homemade Thousand Island dressing served hot on grilled rye bread. A heavenly handheld! The thin, crispy onion rings were cooked perfectly, to where the coating was almost falling off, and just oily enough to give moisture and flavor, but not greasy. The fresh, thin, hand cut fries were great by themselves but then add the beef chili and melted cheese, it could be a great meal by itself. Don't forget the Patty Melt, too. Old fashioned, comfort food that you order at the counter or drive through that's worth a side trip if you're anywhere close (or even not close) to Pasadena.

My biggest complaint is the cleanliness, since there were quite a few flies flying around, with some even landing on the booths that I sat in. The booths also looked fairly dirty, which isn't really appetizing if you're planning to eat inside. Service - 10/10 The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. No complaints. Food - 7/10 Tops Special Burger - 6.5/10 Honestly, the burger was just okay. The presentation was nice, but everything else was pretty average. The pastrami had good flavor, although some pieces were oddly chewy. The beef patty also tasted like it had been frozen, which kind of just took away from the burger. Chili Cheese Tots - 7.5/10 The tater tots themselves were great, they were perfectly crisp and cooked well, but, the chili cheese was a bit underwhelming, since I could barely taste the chili. Overall - 7.6/10 (for dining in) the food is decent and id say that its an okay spot if you're looking for a quick bite, and they give fairly large portions. Other then that, I'd recommend using the drive-thru instead of dining in. It's way faster, and you won't have to deal with the cleanliness and long waits inside.

The…read morerecipes and the preparation techniques are still part of the perfection of Pie 'N Burger tradition. Who would have thought that a sandwich from 1924 would continue to be a classic landmark throughout Pasadena, Los Angeles, California, and the US? When I lived overseas it was one of the few places that everybody knew the name of and what it was known for... it has become a part of an American tradition. When I walked into the quaint location, just off of Lake Avenue on California Boulevard, I felt like I was brought back to another era. Brianna was working the counter area and asked what I'd like to eat. I asked for some suggestions; I wanted a variety of different things that would give me a sense of what they could do as an old-style diner. She was quick to talk about the original Pie 'N Burger cheeseburger. I let her know that I wanted the deluxe edition. It's called the Big Ben. It's a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato pickles, onions, and bacon. This sounded perfect. I also wanted fries and onion rings. Chicken tenders were next on my list as people had talked about how good they were with their homemade dipping sauces. The Apple Pie was the sweet conclusion of my takeout order. I enjoyed the ambiance as my food was being prepared. There was a great smell and sound coming from the kitchen that indicated that everything being made as customers waited. After a short time my food was ready. I was asked if there was anything else that I wanted to add to my order, and was handed the bill. It is well known that cash is the only accepted payment. And they do have an ATM available. When I got home and unpacked my order, everything was still hot. I wasn't sure what to start with first! I decided to try each item as I unpacked it just to get a sense of the flavor. French fries were great - long fries with a crisp exterior and great for dipping. I decided to dip in the blue cheese rather than using the traditional ketchup. Good choice, their blue cheese and other sauces are homemade. You can taste the difference. Onion rings were also crisp exterior surrounding the onion. Also great for dipping! Chicken tenders were fried with a lightly fried exterior and moist and tender. This is a great appetizer to share. The Big Ben Burger lived up to its reputation. Large, flavorful, and a great eating experience. The American cheese with the lettuce tomato pickle and bacon was a great mix. The flavor of the meat was prevalent. To say that it was a mouthful would be an understatement! The dessert was the piece de resistance and worth waiting for...Apple Pie. The crust embraced the flavor of the filling. Flavorful apples with a little bite. Definitely homemade and full of fond memories. Like a really good apple pie should be. The best part about this experience is that I now look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu. The Patty Melt, French toast, chili cheese fries, and boysenberry pie are all on my list to try with my next visits. Great experience, great food, friendly service!

Today my wife had her usual burger and a root beer float. I wanted something different so I ordered their chicken pot pie. Being a child of the sixties and from a large family, I'm no stranger to chicken pot pies. My dad would buy them in bulk when they were on sale at ten for a dollar. Well, I've had the Pie 'n Burger version a couple of years ago but the one today rocked my world. Yes, a good chicken pot can do that. Anyway, our meals were outstanding and only topped by the excellent service we received from our waitress, Tyler. She was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Even though my pot pie needed to be heated just a bit longer after it was served, she made it right by warming it up some more. It was piping hot and delicious!!! When the bill came she apologized for the way she served the pot pie and didn't charge me for it. I was blown away!!! Rarely do you receive customer service like this is at a restaurant in this day and age. Pie 'n Burger is an "old school" kind of place with good food and desserts and "old school" friendly service. Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business. I have such fond childhood memories of going there with my parents and grandparents and receiving what seemed like foot-tall soft-serve cones. They also make the best malts, terrific burgers, and excellent deli sandwiches. The pastrami on rye and grilled cheese are dependable favorites--or you can splurge on a classic banana split. The salami was processed, not dry. It came with a major portion of yellow mustard (not requested), tons of finely chopped wet lettuce, no cheese. Horrible and soggy. I would have requested my money back, but it was a to-go order. The quality of the entire restaurant has gone, and it seems no one cares, as this has been going on for over a year. Inside the restaurant, the tables were empty and unclean. The wall decor sign for the restaurant, was broken and meant nothing as it was missing the store name. It was an icon restaurant, but now broken, and terribl.
