If you're familiar with the Shake Shack, you know that they specialize in Burgers and Shakes. These days, they're also specializing in top-notch service, as well as great food. The first thing that you notice upon entering the store, is how clean and sparse it is. Tables are properly distance, there are markings on the floor to indicate where people should be standing while waiting in line. It's all being done according to CDC guidelines, and they're doing a great job of it too. The food was hot and fresh, the staff friendly and efficient, and the milkshakes are to die for. Literally. That's how good they are. I really can't emphasize that enough, but I'm going to try. My one wish would be that they would come up with different size offerings for shakes. It's one size, and frankly, I really wish that it was a size larger. Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about. If there is a Shake Shack anywhere near you, please consider getting lunch or a meal from them. The other night lines were outside the door at 9:30 pm in 95 degree heat. I waited for another day. So on a Thursday at 3:30 no line outside, order taken in two minutes, waited about 10 for food. Typical shake shack quality. Very well trained staff. Run like a well oiled machine. Servers pushed trays to the counter people taking your buzzers like they have done it for years. Only suggestion I have is if they have lines out the door, have order takers on the line. By the time you pay it would be ready. The pack of people waiting for an order at the end takes up space. Where do I begin. My brother, who is visiting from out of state for Mother's Day, and I, ordered through your Shake Shack app. Our order totaled $40. I was told that my order would be ready for pickup by 2:36 PM. I arrived and was waiting for my order to say completed as this isn't my first time ordering thru the app. I waited until 2:50pm to ask someone if my order was ready. They informed me that my order was not ready. I patiently waited. My order was not ready until 3:28pm. I have picture proof. The wait alone was ridiculous enough. When I received my order, it was missing the sauces on the side: 2 Cheese sauces, and one Shack sauce. When I asked the counter attendant for the missing sauces, rather than asking what the issue was, she instead immediately answered back with "That will be $1.10 each." I had already paid for the cheese sauces and had not even left the building as we had decided to eat the food there. She was very unprofessional about the whole ordeal and I felt embarrassed in front of the line of people. She did begrudgingly give me the sauces. In addition, my brother made customizations to his burger that were not done. We ordered bacon, cherry peppers and a side of shack sauce on the side, as this was his first time to a Shake Shack, since he lives in Vermont. He only received the Cherry Peppers and they were placed haphazardly on the side of his burger as if they were an afterthought. He had to go back to the counter himself and have his burger remade. Again, the woman at the counter was very rude and instead of giving him the receipt back she tossed it in the garbage, and he had to have them reprint the receipt. I did not receive my shack sauce on the side but at this point my frustration made me say to hell with it. The staff seems to be very unprofessional at this location. The canisters for the ketchup were left empty and were only releasing ketchupy water. As I was standing there trying to get ketchup, water from the what appears to be the air unit above fell on me. All in all, this was an overall terrible experience at Shake Shack. This experience has really turned me off Shake Shack and my brother now refers to you as Shake Shit. P.S. Friend had tried these before and heard there was one close to us and wanted to try it. Great call! Huge parking lot so not an issue to find parking. Only problem today is the wind and rain were intense. Got pretty wet making our way inside. Small outdoor seating area that you walk through to enter the restaurant. Great area to sit on a nice day. As you walk inside you turn to the right and get in line to order. Huge menu boards display all the mouth watering options they have. Burgers (singles or doubles), Chicken Sandwiches, Shakes, Specialty Fries (see picture...mmmmm!) and some pretty good beer on tap. Nice they offer different sizes and pitchers when ordering your beer. Staff was very friendly when placing order. It is a glorified fast food joint, but they give you a pager for when your food is ready. Good size burger and the cheesy....bbq....fries...sooo good! I know I already said that, but it really needed to be stressed at least one more time. BBQ was really good and had a tangy sweet flavor. Really cool they have a small section of selections for your dog. Another really coo thing is that every table in the place is made from recycled bowling alley flooring. Busy location with plenty of seating. Never felt rushed and everything tasted really good. Would definitely return and try some different things. Need a shake next time! read more

I was truly disappointed in Shake Shack at Cross County. I've heard so many great reviews over the years about Shake Shack but I've never got the chance to try it. Last night I was so excited I ordered a shake shack hamburger with lettuce tomatoes the works. First of all I like the way it looked. The hamburger bun looks sore and all the onions, lettuce and tomatoes were falling out of the hamburger bun. I looked inside expecting to see this juicy hamburger I was surprised to see the thin slice of beef. Where is the beef? As they say, never judge a book by its cover I've had other hamburgers that look thin but tasted great ( in-out burgers). This hamburger was blah & loaded with salt. I had the shroom burger for the first time and WOW is all I have to say because it was delicious. I haVe not been eating meat for the past 3 months and I absolutely love shake shack and someone recommend I tried this burger and I am very impressed at the flavor and the surprise cheese inside. Just like any Shake Shack, the food is cooked very well. It taste the same as if I had Shake Shack In any other location. The shack stack was delicious and packed with cheese in the shroom burger. I also had their bacon cheese fries. It was so busy they forgot to top the cheese fries with bacon but one of the workers noticed and apologized for leaving the bacon out. So I am from California and obviously a hardcore fan of in n out but I went into shake shack with an open mind. There are three things I want to talk about: the food, the price, and the customer service. 1) The food is really good! I ordered a custard, cheese fries and a single shack burger and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food! The cheese fries were tasty because of the melted cheese that blended really well with the thick fries. The custard was special because of the rich chocolate flavor. The burger tasted great with the soft bun. 2) I was not however satisfied with my meal. I paid $16 for the food and I was surprised at how small the burger was. I would definitely say the food is on a higher class than most fast food chains, but would I dine here regularly. Probably not? 3) Regarding the customer service at this particular location, it was really good. I had a quick and nice conversation with the cashier and when we finished eating our food, one of the workers was quick to get the trash out of our way. Overall it was a good experience. I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of Shake Shack. The food is ok, it's nothing really special. It's kind of like a strange mid ground between fast food and casual dining. This location is fairly big, having a good amount of inside and outdoor seating. You order than receive a pager and wait. After your pager goes off, you go to the counter and continue to wait while the workers talk to each other and ignore you. The food itself is ok. I got a bacon cheeseburger which tasted good, but was really just fast food. The cheese fries were ok, the cheese sauce tasted like melted Velveeta. The shake was good. I got the coffee flavor. It's not the worst place, but it is certainly not the best. I really don't understand the fascination some people have with this restaurant. read more

Just left this shake shack. I asked for a simple order. ICE CREAM! The cashier was leaning on the register looking miserable. She charged me for two cones even though I asked for one. I was like whatever. I'll give it to the people I was with. Then I waited over 30 minutes... for ICE CREAM and people that came in after me were getting COOKED meals. I went to ask the other employee why I wasn't getting my order. Came on a Sunday afternoon..it was super crowded from the mall crowd, but we were still quickly served. Seating is first come first served basis so I looked and held seats while a friend waited for the food. I got the mushroom burger, friend got the single hamburger and we shared fries. The mushroom burger was delicious.. when you bite into it, juicy cheese oozes out..yum..it had just the perfect amount of condiments with the delicious potato bun. Let's be real. Their burgers/fries are small and overpriced. I guess you're paying for the to-go box that comes with your meal. BUT the burgers are extremely delicious and fresh! I usually order the SmokeShack; the one with the little cherry relishes, and bacon. The bacon tasted like it was fried just minutes ago (good thing), crispy, and tasty. The cherry relish things compliment the burger beautifully. Whatever bread they use for their sandwiches is delightful. But you can get similar quality at an Applebee's or a BBQ for that matter. My biggest pet peeve is going somewhere to spend money and experiencing bad service. When I arrived I was the only one on line, and two cashiers were in the front. I'm positive both saw me standing there, one blatantly ignored me and the other happily took my order. Okay fine, no biggy. Now it was time to wait for my meal. As I was sitting at one of the tables where I could see directly into the kitchen with the other staff were laughing, cracking jokes, engaging in horse play, and seemingly uninterested in anything they were supposed to be doing... like cooking my burger. I waited about 20-30 minutes until I was finally called (mind you I was the only one who ordered within that time frame).
