This is a great little hole in the wall diner. Again, I beat the rush and had the entire place to myself for about 15 minutes. I got the Greek omelette and home fries and a Belgium waffle. The coffee was absolutely wonderful. The service was great everybody was Very nice and helpful. If you're ever in Yonkers, I think this would be an absolute wonderful place to visit! As with just about any place in the New York City area, parking is absolutely horrible. After I left, I did see a big ole sign across the street that apparently they have special parking in a fenced in area so keep that in mind. I had the Challah French Toast Deluxe. I asked for crispy bacon but I didn't realize that ham came with my meal. It may have been my mistake.. but the waitress didn't ask how I wanted the ham cooked so it wasn't exactly how I would've wanted it. The food and coffee was ok. It's a cozy neighborhood spot. While staying in Yonkers on a recent trip to New York, my family and I were looking for breakfast before doing some sight seeing in Manhattan. The challenge we kept coming across was finding spots that could accommodate our party that was fluctuating between 10-15 people at every meal. One of the quintessential New York things to do is to eat at one of the many diners all over the place. Diners are not typically big and are usually narrow, but we decided to check it out and be ok with splitting our party. They have street parking here and a small beat up lot nearby. It sits between a few other businesses in an old strip of shops. There is absolutely nothing fancy about it inside or out. When we walked in, initially it looked like we were going to be spread out all over the place, but lo and behold, they had an area in the back with the lights out with plenty of long tables ready to go. They turned on the lights and graciously let us take up one of the large tables. The customer service continued to be excellent afterwards too. In typical diner fashion, the menu here is long and extensive. If you want breakfast, they got it. If you want lunch, they got it. They got Italian and Mexican specialties. They got dessert. You can't come here and not find something that will tickle your fancy. I was in a breakfast mood but was so indecisive because of all the great looking options. I settled on the Pancake Deluxe plate which came with three nice size pancakes, bacon, sausage and two eggs. Our food came out pretty quick and piping hot. My plate looked delicious as did everyone elses. They provided butter and syrup on a plate. I do wish they used fresh butter instead of the prepacked stuff. I will say that the pancakes were delicious. They were big and fluffy and not dense at all. I wanted an over easy egg but got a over medium without any run on the yolk. The bacon was good but too thin for my liking. The breakfast sausage was different, but not in a bad way. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Overall, a great experience was had here. I love spots like this because you will not leave hungry and the prices are super reasonable. I would come back if in the area! read more

Yes, Yes, and Yes! A REAL diner experience. Don't sleep on this place. Narrow establishment with 2-seater and 4-seater booths, also a counter. Quaint, but quality. I'm about it, and I would be about it all over again and again. I'm not in the area often, and did't know the neighborhood when I put this in my GPS. They did everything perfectly for a diner I can think of! For folks not from the area and searching Yelp for a quick place to stop, this is a old fashioned diner, lots of blue and a few white collars from the area, no frills no pouf. Just good diner food. So if that's what you want or need, this fits the bill. No truffle duck fat fries, lobster foam, or crispy Brussels. A diner. News 12 Westchester on the screen. You get the drift. I was in the area for business and was looking for a quick lunch. This place looked like your standard diner from the outside (which is not a bad thing), but when you step inside the picture changes. The first thing you notice is how clean it is. I happened to come in when a staff member was wiping down the tables, and it made me feel very comfortable. I got a nice greeting upon entering and was told I could pick a booth or sit at the counter. Booth it was, and I was handed a menu that featured not only regular diner food but also Mexican dishes. Hey, I'm from Brooklyn, so I went with the cheeseburger deluxe. My benchmark for evaluating any restaurant is threefold; is the food good quality, do they prepare it as requested, and is the service good? *Quality- I know a burger is a very simple dish, but mediocre beef is easy to taste. This burger was really good. *Prep- Done exactly as requested....Medium rare burger and well-done fries with no salt. Seriously, most places are incapable of making well-done fries unless you send them back (which I rarely do). These were perfect. *Service- Attentive without being intrusive. Water refilled as needed. The Yonkers Diner exceeded my expectations on all levels, and I will be certain to return next time I am in the area. read more

We thought that it might be a small place with okay food but we were wrong!I went with my daughter and I got the third pound hamburger deluxe which was a great price $7.95 and it came with unlimited pickles coleslaw and fries. Went for breakfast with my boyfriend on Saturday morning. We didnt expect much because from the outside it looks so small but good size inside. We were immediately greeted with a good morning by the host, a waitress at the bar and even a bus boy that was passing by our table and we loved that because nowadays simple common courtesy like saying good morning, it's not that common anymore so that made us happy from the beginning. Our waitress was very friendly and polite. Our food delicious and made just as we requested. During our time there, our coffee mugs were changed with new mugs filled with fresh coffee and we loved that even more! Who does that? Yonkers Diner and that impressed us! whenever I am in NY to get my car fixed, I take a walk to the Yonkers diner. It has the best breakfast especially the Florentine omelette. Any omelette I have tried is great. My family goes to this establishment consecutively and the food is great! We always get served by the young lady with glasses on the weekends and shes great and attentive and gives great service ! Sadly, this review is about the young lady who is the cashier and i think she is the owners niece or daughter ? Im not quite sure but she is extremely rude, has no customer service, and quite frankly seems like she doesn't want to be there at all. Today, as an example, someone called to ask if they are open and she responded with " umm thats why im answering the phone".
