First time. Ample parking lot, at least for dinner. Walked in at 5:03P. Place was pretty empty. By the time I was seated, brought water and a menu, and was asked what I wanted, it was 5:09. I was hoping to order the "early bird" mile high meatloaf for $19.95, but was told I was too late. So I lost out on the coffee, dessert (choice of ice cream or jello) and vegetable. Still wanted comfort food, and had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, smothered in gravy. Also came w a cup of soup or salad. The soup (matzo ball) was delicious. The meatloaf very good. All for $18.35, w/o the above mentioned. Two things detracted from a higher score. The server's perfume was very noticeable, and lingered each time she stopped by. And telling a customer that arrived 3 mins later than "the window" that they couldn't get the early bird special... there was no reason for that. Anyway... 3 stars. read more

Clairmont Diner by far is the best diner I have eaten in a very long time. I am very particular about my food and let me tell you, the food here is excellent, can we say, "Fresh" everything I ordered was fresh and the waiters whom are all men thank god lol are super amazing. Very patient, kind, they come frequently to see if everything is good. No attitude at all.. the waiters are so sweet and attentive to my needs n yours. This is going to be my new breakfast place. They don't rush you out, you sit fast and everyone is so kind. Auturo is gentle and ready to assist if you need it , I think he's the manager. I love this place. The pancakes were omg delicious, everything was brought out hot and just the way I asked for them. Coffee was good too. Uh-oh-first thing on the table from the, "Thanksgiving" menu was the salad. I went on a visual, but I figured what the hell?!? Tell me WHY in the world the tomatoes tasted soggy especially in a salad that was just tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, some olives and red onions? Come on-isn't it Thanksgiving? The turkey was good. Fantastic little diner. Been coming here for a l few years now. Food is delicious. I've been here mostly for their breakfast but have made it for lunch once or twice too. Service is great, I've never had an issue with that. One of my favorite go to breakfast dishes is the Irish Skillet. Only thing I would stay away from is the breakfast sandwich on a roll. Really enjoyed the French dip panini and my husband enjoyed the steak sandwich. He also loved the beef and cheese empanadas. Everything came with generous portions. We picked up the food to take home and they remembered all the sauces. The staff made sure to open up the bag and pull everything out in front of us to make sure the order was correct before we left. That was very much appreciated. The price for both orders and the appetizer was under $45. All in all tasty and hot food, good prices and customer service. Would definitely return. read more

Old fashioned diner with an extensive menu. We got there around 4:30 and where pleasantly surprised that they had early bird specials for $13.95. Im gluten free and they didn't have much for me but the had grilled flounder and it turned out to be delicious! You also got a salad, potato, vegetable and dessert! I was greeted and seated immediately. I ordered the French Toast deluxe which came with eggs, ham, bacon, and sausage. All of that was under $10. My order came out pretty quick and it was good. Definitely too much for me to finish in one seating. Got the rest packed to go. The service was pretty good. They ONLY accept cash. There is an ATM located in the back of the restaurant. I used to eat here for years until I moved to long Island back in 2013. When I came back in 2018 I started ordering from them again. Their prices are the cheapest around when it comes to diners. But One night I ordered delivery, I took food from the take out container and put it on a plate. After I got done eating I went to throw out the take out container and saw 3 little bugs in it, which I see all the time in people's houses that have roaches when I'm doing plumbing. This is an old fashioned diner and the day I ate lunch there it seemed as if most of the clientele were regulars that have been going there for years. There is a large selection of "lunch specials" and they let me substitute (always a plus). The food was good and the service was excellent. The prices were "economy". I purchased 3 separate meals for my family through Ubereats, & this bug was in 1 of them. I called the restaurant & spoke with a woman who identified herself as Maria, the manager, & explained the situation to her. The only offer she gave was to have the meal replaced. I declined & asked if I could receive a full refund and that I would bring back all of the food as proof. Maria said she can TRY to refund me for the ONE dish but she wasn't sure if she'd be able to, then forwarded me to Ubereats to try to receive a credit. Definitely disappointed, disgusted, and I will not be eating from this establishment again. The first time I ordered, it took over an hour to get it and it was soggy. The second time I ordered, it took almost two hours for it to get to me and the driver got lost.
