Great round the way spot. Good for to go orders. I wish online order menu had more options like scrambled eggs and adding bacon to the pancake platter. It's in the description but not in the choices. Omelette was really good. Wish I could check out at the counter vs waiting for the store line but it went quick. Great luncheonette. There used to be more of these. It's nice to support the ones left. This one had six counter stools and three tables. Fresh good quality food. All breakfast items. So the food was great. Total greasy spoon, dive-diner food. I had a cheese and green pepper omelet with a side of bacon and home fries; very straight forward meal; very greasy, totally delicious in an absurdly unhealthy way. But the service was horrific. It's obviously a "locals" joint and if you're not a regular, forget it. They wouldn't talk to us or serve us. We finally just walked up to the cook and placed an order. I only stayed bc I was very hungry and had already paid the meter. And then the guy was blatantly rude about my order, just being snarky. To sum up: glad I ate the food. Will absolutely never go back. Will never recommend this place to anyone... That means you. Don't go there. read more

Stopped in today for a quick lunch with my hubby and kids after a visit to the Hudson River Museum. Found it rated well on yelp and close by so thought we'd try it out. Took a bit to find it...actually inside a convenient store so I was glad someone posted a pic of the outside. Definitely worth seeking out. A total locals hang out there's a small counter up front with a few stools and several small tables in the back. They offer the usual items you'd find in a deli (hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc.) but they also do breakfast and had several specials posted. My hubby decided to try the pastrami on rye, my daughter went for a burger, I settled on the Corleone sandwich (breaded chicken cutlet with mozzarella and roasted peppers, oil & vinegar). My little guy had his heart set on pb&j and the very nice man behind the counter said no problem. We helped ourselves to drinks from the refrigerated cases and my hubby got a coffee (which he said was delicious). Food was up in only a few minutes and it all was amazingly tasty. My hubby was so upset that he'd finished his pastrami and considered ordering another! My 8-year-old daughter devoured the burger, and my son was thrilled with his classic on white. My cutlet sandwich was the perfect size, the chicken was tasty and had a great crunch to the breading, the cheese was gooey, and those roasted peppers were divine! Not only was the staff friendly, the food absolutely delicious, but it was so affordable! Lunch for the 4 of us came to $22! I wish we lived closer...we'd come more often!
