Cold brew and Americano! Delicious!
Edward K.

Thanks to Yelp, I'm able to find high end coffee shops wherever I go. Climbing Wolf is another absolute win. Very cool vibe, pleasant greeting from the gentleman behind the counter upon arrival. They rotate beans from high end roasters, today they had coffee from Touchy Roasters in Troy, NY. My wife enjoyed a cold brew with oat milk and I enjoyed an Americano. The Americano was served in a nice heavy mug, so it stayed hot. The flavors were complex. I've been out of my craft beer phase for a while but if I wasn't, this place would be dangerous! Awesome tap list, served at a friendly neighborhood bar. Can't beat that! Seating was comfortable, natural light was ample. Really enjoyable!

A place that pays homage to the origins of beer. This coffee and bear spot is a perfect place to come chill and learn some interesting facts about beers and coffee. Humulus lupulus is also known as hops. In Latin, Hops in the beer community is known as the climbing wolf. The service here is fabulous. Chris is a fabulous conversationalist and knows how to pour a good beer. This place gives off very close knit vibes where someone is always telling a crazy story. I highly recommend this spot for a beer.

Where's the button for 10 stars?? To say this is a special place would be a understatement. Let's start with the basics -- their coffee and beer are both great. Delicious coffee / cafe program, which is only to be surpassed by the amazing beer program. The space itself is a welcoming, warm and a perfect refuge to hang, work, play, socialize or a little bit of all. But none of that is what makes this place so special. The magic of this place is the human connection that happens inside. Sure, probably not what you expect to read about in a Yelp review, but the reality is these kinds of environments that foster human interaction are harder and harder to come by. Just a handful of miles away in NYC, the concept of walking into a place like this and openly connecting with new people would be an absurd concept. But it's this concept that is lived and breathed by Chris and his brother, the wonderful humans behind this place. Chris is a rare find in the year 2024. He literally knows the name of every patron that walks through the door. He takes the time to greet each and every one as they walk through the door, not missing a single one, and immediately making you feel welcome when you enter. He doesn't do this because he has to, he does it because he genuinely wants to. Really quickly, the line between patrons and friends becomes blurred. What's more -- Chris doesn't just get to know the people who enter -- he goes out of his way to introduce you to everybody. In the 2 weekends we went, we met 6-8 new people, many of whom we exchanged info with and plan to see again. These all started with Chris and his subtle way of facilitating human connection. I can't overstate how rare this is to find these days and how much the world needs more people like Chris who are creating more connection in a world full of divide. The culture Chris embodies trickles throughout his whole team. It's contagious. They're all genuinely enjoying being there. How rare is this to find? It feels like you're in the living room of a family that's just really enjoying what they're doing. It makes you want to stay for hours -- which is exactly what we end up doing each time we go. And by the way, we travel from Manhattan -- a city filled with hundreds of beer joints and coffee shops -- just for this magical experience. Keep it up Chris and team, spread the love

What a great, chill spot. They excel in coffee, sweets, and beer. What's not to love? Lots of different types of seating depending on your plans for your visit. Good luck picking something to eat, because it all looks delicious. My family and I snagged a few pastries and truly couldn't decide our favorite. Nice, small but well-curated beer selection in the fridges in the back. And of course there are ample taps to try, too. I truly cannot wait to come back, and I'd plan to stay a while.

Epic selection of local brews, excellent coffees, and even better service that makes you feel like a rockstar. Local vibe but welcome to all. Check it out on different nights for different vibes.

Super chill and great staff. Not a ton of food options, but perfect on this rainy day. Parking sucks, but glad I came by,

The best nitro, cold brew and regular cold brew I have had in New York. Also, they have some food and the chocolate chip muffin was amazing.

The chef cooks a lot of classics my mom and grandma would make with some modern flare. The staff is great and super attentive. Since it has always been crowded, there are a lot of groups and always a lot of chatter in the dining room, so if you're looking for quiet this isn't your spot on a Saturday night. Food recommendations...pretty much anything it's all amazing. The shrimp sambuca is amazing. If you don't like shrimp, I don't care, you will love this dish. The shrimp are high quality and the sauce is out of this world. Future menu recommendation...it needs to be over pasta! That sauce is too good! Save some bread to soak it up! Speaking of bread, the bread itself and the side of bean garlic spread in lieu of butter is a nice touch. Something so simply elevated. Overall, I highly recommend for some great Italian eats, a lively atmosphere and an all around warm hug in the form of food. Ps don't forget to make a reservation, you won't be disappointed!

What a difference in design from the previous Brrzaar café in this same spot years ago. The color on all the walls adds a minimalist+chic feel but keeps the clean look that only a white paint provides! It's the perfect balance, in my opinion. If it's an upbeat café you're after, this husband+wife team at LuDy (named after the couple's 2 children) are bringing their Melbourne coffee culture to quaint Irvington, NY. They partner with Proud Mary Coffee to bring coffee to the masses, Flour Power from Pelham, NY to offer scrumptious baked goods and Spirit Tea. Judging by the number of people I found sitting at the tables chitchatting with their friends/co-workers, etc during my Tuesday 11am visit, this is the place for a hangout over bites and beverages. But do also know, LuDy is loud. I'm not sure if people nowadays know common conversation 101 courtesy using a normal volume. Anyhow. Since their June '24 opening, LuDy's owner is setting himself apart in the community and is the epitome of a friendly neighborhood cafe. And service from him, the morning I was here, was pure gentlemanly as he located a chair for me to sit at one of the empty tables. Thank you! My hibiscus+lemongrass+ ginger root 'Rosella Tonic' iced tea was refreshing. What would've taken my hot chocolate (made with a chocolate sauce) to the next level would've been a darker chocolate kind. But the barista zhuzhed up my drink with a pattern like it was coffee. Thank you again!
