Wow. I'm an idiot. I've lived relatively close to here for 30 years (well directly across the River lol), but still there's no real excuse for having not been there sooner. Great intimate space, down to earth, chill, all good things. I moved further away and that's when I decide to check it out. Hope to attend now more often.

The only perspective from which to provide a fair review is from that of a music lover. Seating only 55 people which includes a dozen bar seats, all packed into a large living room sized space - facing a small stage - from which will be delivered an intimate and personal musical experience. The acoustics are great, the service from the wait staff attentive and nibbles and drinks are available from the bar and upstairs kitchen. I had a Bailey's Irish coffee with lots of whip cream and our friends gobbled up some good dessert. Nachos, burritos, tacos and other finger foods are available. Keep your expectations in check here, eh. If you are looking for bright clean updated space, forget it. The bathroom is, well, functional. If you want an up close and rewarding evening with some terrific musicians - this is and has been the place to go.

Just left this quant music venue and bar such a cute place. We ordered some chips and salsa and few apps form upstairs Mexican restaurant as we listen to a great band Cee Songbird and the Sound Travels a R &N band that we're great. Wait staff very good considering how tiny the place is. Chairs not comfortable and it's very tight inside here but the music makes up for it. Drinks honest but parking is a nightmare park across in the parking lot.

Awesome spot, we found this place after walking along the peir and Tallman Mountain Park. The food had a great taste and all 4 of us enjoy our lunch.

Nice place to listen to music, but follow the rules. A woman handed me this note when I was talking to my friend. Nothing major mind you, but it made me anxious about making noise. Then she and her girlfriend rushed the stage for the headliner, danced and screamed. I don't want to spend my evening at a place with rules.

Levin brothers tonight. Excellent music and great vibe. Top performance in an intimate setting. Great beer on tap. Located in the scenic river town of Piermont where I have lived for 21 years. Perfect music to get over a lover who has gone away for good and forever. Although also reminds me of him cause I know he'd love this music.

Wisely recognized as America's oldest tavern with its stone facade, the Old '76 House, located on Main Street in Tappan, has been welcoming guests and was restored to its pristine condition by the Norden family. Step inside, and nearly every corner tells a story that served as a meeting place for local patriots during the American Revolutionary War. It also welcomed General George Washington for dining on occasion. He once received plans at the establishment that exposed Benedict Arnold as a traitor--prompting a dramatic reaction still talked about today. Upon entering without a reservation today for lunch, my partner and I were greeted by the host and got a cozy table by the fireplace with original Delft tiles in the Tap Room. The interior features rustic beamed ceilings, four fireplaces, vintage portraits, historical certificates and documents, as well as costumes and artifacts where patrons were able to walk around and marvel at them. The menu reflects the tavern's heritage, with dishes inspired by early American cuisine. We decided on the Thanksgiving Sandwich accompanied with fries and the Traditional American Meatloaf over Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Vegetables. For dessert, we shared Hannah's Apple Crunch with vanilla ice cream. But even more than the great and delicious food was the history, ambiance, and especially the way we were treated. Our server was Joe and checked on us often. The portion was healthy and the price comparable to the area's. If one has even a passing interest in American history, then it's a must to come here. Not just a meal, but an experience!

I will add that the brunch menu felt very random - you go from fried Cajun oysters to a fried chicken sandwich or a beef gyro. The food was good - must try the fried Cajun oysters! The buttermilk pancakes were tasty as well. They were bananas foster so it was like eating dessert. The service was not as good. Our server seemed to avoid us as much as possible, it was clear she didn't want to be there. We even heard her tell the hostess that she didn't want anyone else to be seated in her section and it wasn't that busy. She never came back to ask us if we wanted more drinks. The manager, Bill, walked the room and made his way around to say hello and check in with tables. He was very welcoming and nice - wish she would take a cue from him.
