    Margaritas!

So fun! Stopped in here while traveling for work. It's the perfect combination of an old saloon and dive. The staff were very friendly. The wings were great. I recommend the spicy beach. My friend got the street corn and nachos. Also delicious! They had open mic night and it was packed! The local talent was amazing. A great experience!

Our waiter, Matt, was wonderfully kind and professional; attentive and knowledgeable, yet never hovering. He made sure every detail was just right. The porterhouse steak for two was perfectly prepared, and we also enjoyed a remarkable wine selection and some well-shaken martinis. From beginning to end, it was first-rate, and the night felt truly special. Fleming's in Montvale went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable, and we'll definitely be back.

Went with my wife and she had a cocktail ( I drank water). She is not a big drinker and she gets tipsy after 1/2 glass of wine but she didn't feel anything after this cocktail. She didn't think there was actually any alcohol in the drink. We then split a chopped salad and when they brought it to the table we were in disbelief. It was so tiny there were only a few chunks of lettuce. Tasted great but it was literally a child's portion. For our main course she had the filet with lobster tail and I had a petite filet. We both ordered medium rare. The lobster was awful. So heavily spiced that it was hard to eat. The steaks were both significantly over cooked. They came out close to well done. The side dish of Mac and cheese was completely dry, very little of any sauce. We skipped desert. So for 1 drink, one salad, one side dish and 2 entrees our bill with tip was $300. Walking out I just felt like we had been ripped off. The service was fine, the food wasn't. We won't be back.

Finally! A place in my own town that I can rate 5 stars…read more Cooper's is a small pub located in Pearl River. There's street parking around the neighborhood that becomes free after 6. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

I won't be heading back to Peppercorn's anytime soon, GUARANTEED!…read more My wife and I came in and were warmly greeted by the bartender and our drink order was taken promptly and made perfectly...but that's unfortunately where the compliments end for both the restaurant and the bartender. We ordered Nachos for an appetizer and they came out cold. Cheese on the bottom was melted, whatever crap they put on top was ice cold and not melted. Not sure if this is the way they make them ordinarily, but I've never eaten nachos with cheese that was not melted ... we sent it back to be reheated and got a face from the bartender about it... didn't bode well in her favor but more to come on her shortly. Next both of us got The Godfather sandwich with added chopped bacon... it came out undercooked in some parts of the meat hut after the face for sending back the nachos, I sucked it up and just ate the edible parts... in addition to this though, they don't serve it closed. It is not an open faced sandwich, but served open-faced...not terrible, but just weird to me. Probably to prevent room on the plate for more fries to be added. So now the meal has ended, we ask for the check and notice a couple of unusual charges... I had 2 Belvedere and 7up w a lime and my wife had two Spicy Margaritas. We were each charged $25.00 for our 2 drinks...no issues...where it gets nutty is the additional separate charges listed vaguely at $7 and $4. Now the complaint isn't about cost per se, but rather the sneakiness and seemingly dishonest approach by the bartender that was unnecessary. My wife questioned the charges and we were told some nonsense about having to up charge because it was a larger glass for a margarita and it doesn'tcome in a smaller glass...WTF? First off, she didn't ask for a larger glass. Next, why isn't there just a charge for a margarita at one price? If you only serve it in one size, why do you need an up charge on a taller glass? That was the explanation for the 7.00 charge, 3.50 for each drink she had. The 4.00 charge I couldnt even make sense out of ... she explained that it was because margarita's have more than 1 liquor so she had to add an additional liquor fee. What in the holy hell is going on with the pricing for this drink???? So now as far as I can understand we have a $12.50 FLAT fee for a margarita according to its initial charge on the check. Then 3.50 extra for each drink because it is served ONLY in a pint glass... and a $2.00 per drink for extra liquor because more than 1 type of alcohol was put in the Margarita... so now a $12.50 Margarita on the menu becomes an 18 dollar upsell when no one asked for anything larger or additional, other than the way it should be poured according to the drink menu... it was sneaky, underhanded and it made us feel like we were targeted as unsuspecting patrons who wouldn't be back again and the upcharge didn't matter. Well she was right and wrong... wrong that it doesn't matter and was not wrong to do, but she was right that we won't be back again

The place has a very cozy atmosphere. The restaurant has several rooms along with a separate bar. The decor is dark wood with numerous old musical instruments and musical wall hangings. Beginnings: We started out with water, yummy bread and butter! Next, we moved onto Wine and Cocktails: Manhattans, Silver Oak Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc. Entrees: All the food was excellent! We had chicken piccata, organic salmon and a burger with fries! My salmon had to be one of the best I've ever tasted. Desserts: My BF and I shared a yummy brownie. Some of the others had Irish coffees. Service was good. I think they were a little bit understaffed. Once in a while, we were looking for a server and didn't know what happened him. Looking forward to dining at Louie's again. Reservations are highly recommended. Parking is available in their lot or on the street. 4.5 STARS!!!!!

I was not super hungry so I just ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was huge I felt I kept eating and didn't even make a dent so I brought it home. My boyfriend ordered their special steak sandwich with a side of fries. He said it was cooked to his medium rare temperature and well flavored. The fries are always extra crispy here too! I have been on an espresso martini kick and it truly is one of the best places for one around. Sweet and simply made. My boyfriend ordered his favorite ipa from the alchemist brewing company that they luckily carried here!
