It's a really welcoming vibe there and the kind of place where you can go sit at the bar and have great conversations with the bartenders as well as people sitting there, which makes it that much more special. We've been fortunate to have Celine as our bartender during our visits - she's so friendly, fast, and so personable. The menu is extensive, with tons of options - all are SO GOOD. We've gotten the curry fries (highly recommend!), the mac and cheese (I think this is no lie the best mac and cheese I've ever had), and the breakfast burger (my husband said it was one of the best burgers he's had - comes with a fried egg and bacon). I cannot wait to make my way through more of the menu options... though it will be hard to have me change my order from the mind-blowing mac and cheese! I also can't wait to hit their brunch harder, especially since for $20 you can add on two hours of unlimited Bloody Mary's/mimosas - a STEAL! I now know where we'll be spending our weekends! We tried the striped bass special, which was a filet that came with polenta, and the seafood paella, which had 3 jumbo shrimp, 3 clams and a bit of calamari with saffron rice. The flavors were there for both entrees. However, there just wasn't enough protein for the prices. At $38 for the bass and $36 for the paella, we weren't happy. The filet we got was small, and it was mostly a plate of polenta. For the paella, at that price, there are much better options in the area...some with more clams and calamari, mussels, chicken, chorizo. This one just didn't deliver enough seafood (or food for that matter) for the money. We just overall felt kinda meh with both entrees. Frustrating because, again, I really wanted to give them five stars. It just wasn't there, and I really don't know if we'll be back again soon. The meal as a whole let me down. Through the blood, sweat, and tears, they were able to create an opportunity in Pearl River New York for the locals and non locals like me to enjoy some great drafts and bbq. I tried not to be the excited traveler right at the door, but luckily, Amy, the owner's wife, was willing to take a wayward traveler in to start enjoy their beers right as they opened. They have a book and beer book club to sip and read, cornhorn club and a large beer hall with music to jam out to. With the Full Auto Arena nearby, I would recommend mom chill here while the dads and sons let some steam off or if we all know Mom can show up anyone with some liquor courage.
