    Great food!

Much improved over the last few years and back to its former glory and the Saloon you remember years ago! That and SO much more! Amazing renovation and layout! Rooftop is really nice and I did attend a few events in the party room they are beautiful and highly recommended to book for a party or wedding! Wow the karaoke night on Thursday is a lot of fun! The food is as good as ever and maybe even better! House specialty French dip is amazing, also chili with chips app, spinach dip app, pasta dish and Philly cheesesteak are amazing too. Fries are really good. John the legendary bartender is still here! Def a fun place to go in 2024! Makes this crazy world a lot easier to tolerate. Get down here soon!

PROS: This place had a restaurant on the ground floor and had a hip bar on the rooftop. The bartenders were nice, it was clean, and the prices were decent. Their kitchen closes at 10pm, while the bar lasts till 4am CONS: The rooftop closes at midnight which i find to be a bit early OVERALL: This is the best bar on the whole block. If you are in the neighborhood on a friday or saturday night you have to try this place

Always great service and excellent food. My all time fave is the coffee burger and their onion rings are crunchy and on point. Hubby tried the Ruben this time and it was great. Drinks are small but I'm sure it's a blessing in disguise. Music basically every night. Check their IG for the schedule. Friday nights music on the roof and the out door patio in the back. Great talent for the music indeed!

These are strange times all over due to covid. This usually packed place now is quiet and immaculate. The food is always good and the selection is not overwhelming but very varied. The staff is super friendly and we had a great lunch. This is a real local place and deserves our support.

The Saloon is a great bar and restaurant located in the heart of Pearl River. I have been here many times whether it is for brunch, dinner, or just a night out. They have a large rooftop bar with live music and tables. I recommend any of their burgers, salads, the crabcakes, and the fish tacos.

Due to the pandemic, I have not been visiting bars/restaurants as frequently to avoid exposure. I heard The Saloon had a rooftop so I was open to the idea. I've been to this establishment on many different occasions in the past and experienced first hand how crowded it can get inside. It was a Friday night, there was live music playing. Great atmosphere all around however, the Saloon yet again was crowded. I felt a bit uneasy staying as I noticed everyone at the bar without masks and little to no distancing in between. Employees all had masks on and made sure to notify people to wear a mask when walking around. We found a table far from the pack and ordered a couple of drinks. My friend ordered vodka soda and said there was barley any alcohol. I would suggest sticking to beer when coming here.

Located in the cute little town of Pearl River, NY. They have a back parking lot or street parking available making it is quite easy to go 'pub hopping' all the way up Main Street to a few 'olde Irish pubs'. TV's abound for sports watching and a nice dining area that has massive booths that can fit 6 comfortably. Their menu offers a lot of hearty pub faves, soups, sandwiches, wraps and their specialty French dip. Avocado toast for the health conscious! Guinness is fresh and cold. Fish and Chips were excellent. Everyone social distanced and the staff was super polite!

We started off with a scone with clotted cream and jam. It was excellent! Then we moved onto the burger, Wellington and the pie of the day.omg!! the pie of the day was a vegetable curry, which was really tasty. I loved the burger in the puff pastry! Fries were really crispy on point. But the most memorable thing was the sticky toffee pudding! I'm still dreaming about it! I absolutely love this place even though it was my first time I will be back many times after to try the entire menu.

It was bright and sunny outside, but traditionally dark and well worn inside. You order at the bar and they bring everything to your table. Owners were very nice as you'd expect. I got their house bitter cask ale. Very good however please note this is close to room temperature than a typical cold beer; I personally love the style and this was a good example. My son doesn't understand that British people call fries chips, so we ended up having to get him French fries and potato chips. They luckily had the latter, even if they didn't have plain ones, so we got him ketchup-flavored chips that of course he proceeded to barely eat (they were actually good). He did like the French fries/British chips, and my wife liked her breakfast sandwich even if it was a bit heavy for her. My fish and chips were really freaking good. Sizable piece of fish (haddock), nice and crisp, with a ton of chips and lots of sauces (spicy mustard, vinegar, etc). Maybe not my favorite fish and chips ever, but it hit the spot. Would come back here in a heartbeat, especially where I could relax and drink a bit more. Completely understand why they are recognized as a top bar in the US.

If you enjoy a good blue cheese, you would be happy with this. My friend ordered the turkey dinner. He was very happy and it had a very sizable portion. All in all a good meal. I won't be heading back to Peppercorn's anytime soon, GUARANTEED!…read more My wife and I came in and were warmly greeted by the bartender and our drink order was taken promptly and made perfectly...but that's unfortunately where the compliments end for both the restaurant and the bartender. We ordered Nachos for an appetizer and they came out cold. Cheese on the bottom was melted, whatever crap they put on top was ice cold and not melted. Not sure if this is the way they make them ordinarily, but I've never eaten nachos with cheese that was not melted ... we sent it back to be reheated and got a face from the bartender about it... didn't bode well in her favor but more to come on her shortly. Next both of us got The Godfather sandwich with added chopped bacon... it came out undercooked in some parts of the meat hut after the face for sending back the nachos, I sucked it up and just ate the edible parts... in addition to this though, they don't serve it closed. It is not an open faced sandwich, but served open-faced...not terrible, but just weird to me. Probably to prevent room on the plate for more fries to be added. So now the meal has ended, we ask for the check and notice a couple of unusual charges... I had 2 Belvedere and 7up w a lime and my wife had two Spicy Margaritas. We were each charged $25.00 for our 2 drinks...no issues...where it gets nutty is the additional separate charges listed vaguely at $7 and $4. Now the complaint isn't about cost per se, but rather the sneakiness and seemingly dishonest approach by the bartender that was unnecessary. My wife questioned the charges and we were told some nonsense about having to up charge because it was a larger glass for a margarita and it doesn'tcome in a smaller glass...WTF? First off, she didn't ask for a larger glass. Next, why isn't there just a charge for a margarita at one price? If you only serve it in one size, why do you need an up charge on a taller glass? That was the explanation for the 7.00 charge, 3.50 for each drink she had. The 4.00 charge I couldnt even make sense out of ... she explained that it was because margarita's have more than 1 liquor so she had to add an additional liquor fee. What in the holy hell is going on with the pricing for this drink???? So now as far as I can understand we have a $12.50 FLAT fee for a margarita according to its initial charge on the check. Then 3.50 extra for each drink because it is served ONLY in a pint glass... and a $2.00 per drink for extra liquor because more than 1 type of alcohol was put in the Margarita... so now a $12.50 Margarita on the menu becomes an 18 dollar upsell when no one asked for anything larger or additional, other than the way it should be poured according to the drink menu... it was sneaky, underhanded and it made us feel like we were targeted as unsuspecting patrons who wouldn't be back again and the upcharge didn't matter. Well she was right and wrong... wrong that it doesn't matter and was not wrong to do, but she was right that we won't be back again
