Would give 0 stars if I could, good liquor selection but refused to sell to me despite being 21, I understand they have to watch out for the classic sting operations but my last experience was ridiculous; had a vertical ID because it doesn't expire until the end of the year but the clerk claimed it was FAKE!! In all my years i've never heard or seen a kid get a fake VERTICAL ID(coming from someone who worked in a liquor store for years). So insane bc I went the week prior and they gave me no problem, which I said to them, and they still dismissed me the next week. Will never spend another dime at this liquor store. read more

Great selection of craft brews, both warm and cold. They run specials on certain days like 20% off on wine on Wednesdays. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I recently turned 21 and went inside this store and felt the disrespectful laugh from all the clerks. I went up to the counter asking for a drink behind the counter which the lady clerk was SO QUICK TO SAY CAN I SEE ID. Like I didn't know that already? I hand her the iD. Then she tried to check me with the address to "clarify it is indeed a REAL LICENSE" LOL. I recently moved so my addresses are different and I have the other license to back it up. So I said the other address by accident. She says, "NOPE! SORRY CANT SERVE YOU". When clearly my age says 21. That's the only factor she was looking at. Anyways I'll give it 2 stars because I ended up getting the drink and having another clerk help me out. But this lady wanted the power to not be able to serve me for. Whatever reasons! I said why would you think I'm lying about my address and age? She said YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED! Yeah, you would be surprised people have different addresses and can change licenses as well. Amazing selection. So glad i found this place. Lots of different beers, wine, scotch, vodka, etc. Whatever you're looking for, they'll probably have it. Can't get over the inventory they have. It also boasts an abundance of "novelty" liquors like the Skinny Girl Margarita, cotton candy flavored vodka, and alcohol infused whipped creams. So, stopped in today to buy a bottle of tequila and at counter, picked up a package of peanuts, and noticed package and whole box out dated over a week. Let cashier know, as he informed owner as owner was right next to him, and didn't care and directly for a 2nd time, told owner directly and ignored me! Out of dates happen as in the grocery business but when a customer advises owner and not even a THANK YOU, but SIMPLY IGNORES YOU, not right. Stay away and better off going to Wine and Whiskey in Norwood or Shoprite liquors in Northvale. read more

I just had the worst experience here and will NEVER set foot in this store EVER!!!! I went in looking for a particular Rose and had a young kid help me. He quoted me a price and I said it was on sale at a different liquor store could he match it. The manager stepped in and said it was probably a different year. I accepted that. There was no offer to help me any further. So I decided to leave. The kid accused me of stealing a bottle of wine!!! He said it was in my bag! I was horrified, I've never stolen anything in my life!!! I told the manager and he told the kid to apologize . The kid apologized to him not me. I left furious and drove to the liquor store by qreek village. They were SO helpful and nice. I told them what happened and they couldn't believe it! So I spent $117 on a case of wine and a case of beer. So there Beverage Barn!!! Moral , don't accuse your customers of stealing when there are not thieves!!! The guy at the register, who claims he was the owner was too busy having a conversation with a fellow employee while a long line was forming. When I asked if I could get ice, he said yes, but rudely continued his conversation. To break up the employee's conversation and his indifference to me, I asked how much for the ice. He then continued with his rude demeanor and told me that I was being impatient. This kind of outlandish rude behavior should not be tolerated by anyone, let alone a paying customer. I urge everyone to go down the street to Shop Rite where the prices are cheaper and you won't have to tolerate HORRIBLE customer service. read more
