Love this place! I've been here a few times, and it's been a great experience each time. I love their lattes and hot chocolate here. They also have a variety of pastries available, as well as coffee merch and other items. The inside is very spacious with comfortable seating, and they have a larger space if you wanted to hold a gathering or event here. I finally brought my husband to an amazing coffee shop. We both gotten the same drink which was the decaffeinated bourbon maple with white chocolate on top . Mine was iced coffee and my husband got his hot coffee. I decided to get a muffin that was locally sourced and my husband gotten a chocolate muffin . The service was great as always. The owner was great. We decided to sit in the back of the cafe to have our coffee & muffins and it was very rustic amd cozy. I highly recommend coming here and giving them a try. read more

Finally made it to Matters! There are two coffee shops in town and now I have officially tried both of them. I loved my choice of beverage: a 12 ounce combination of hot chocolate, espresso, toasted marshmallow syrup and whipped cream. Just the right amount of sweetness and a perfect caffeine kick (that I really needed for the afternoon). Service was lovely and fast. It's also super clean and inviting. Came by and gave this spot another chance - Today the coffee flavor was on point. Nutty/chocolatey and robust! No bitterness or sourness. I also met the owner Trevor who mentioned that if your drink isn't how you liked it, they pride themselves on making that right for you -- 10/10 or 5-star for service!!! For the kids' frozen hot chocolate, I asked if I could have a separate cup to split their drink into two, but the girl at the POS was kind enough to offer to split them in smaller cups for me! Ambience is still great. We enjoy sitting in the back nook with the couches and the 4-lead clover table! It was fun for the kids to also sit and watch Trevor cooking/roasting the coffee beans. Coffee joints drive me nuts. Don't train your baristas by having them prepare drinks for paying customers. Train them, THEN let them free on the machine. Could this be a 5 star review? Probably, quite easily. The guy who seemed to know how to pour was on the register (and singing along to the music - not a candidate for a career as a pop star) - while the trainee (I assume) was pulling shots and pouring unsupervised. What did I get? Two cortados, poured amateurishly, one over-extracted and one with broken milk. The second one I ordered because the "barista-guy" got on the machine to carefully pour a giant to-go drink (then hide it under a lid) but as soon as I stepped up to order he was back on the register and singing. I left it untouched on the table. It would have been more efficient to just burn the $4. read more

I first found out about Matters Coffee when I saw that it popped up on my map on my drive the the Dunkin that is in the same shopping center. I decided to make a stop at Matters Coffee one morning before work. The space inside has seating for people to enjoy their coffee and I like that the windows here are large and allow patrons to look outside. The service here was pretty nice and the affordability of the coffee is on par with other coffee shops. The quality of the coffee here is pretty good. I will most likely come back to get some coffee from here when the seasons change, so that I can try the other seasonal drinks that they offer. read more

Adorable new coffee shop in Croton-on-Hudson. It's in a little strip mall and looks tiny, but there is a huge lounge in the back with a work station (and charging ports), tables, and sofas. Very cute and modern decor. The coffee is great and good for serious coffee drinkers -- none of that watered-down Dunkin' coffee here. We also grabbed a croissant that was decent, although I'm not sure they make their pastries/muffins those in house. I could be wrong though! I live this coffee shop and have since the moment they've opened. They have seasonal rotating specials which are always delicious and speak to the creativity of the team. Beyond that you can get all your typical coffee shop fixes here and my favorite has to be the inclusion of cold foam and flavored cold foam on a drink. Everyone behind the counter is always friendly and patient and the space is clean and welcoming. I also live the use of the space for frequent small business pop ups which brings recognition to other businesses in the area. read more

I was getting a 20 oz coffee with hot milk, to go once a week at Matters and it would run me roughly $4.89. High but nothing crazy. Coffee is totally fine. Now, they tell me due to coffee bean prices that same coffee is $5.89. No one else in this area has raised their prices so it seems like pure gouging. Anyway, the kids behind the counter are very nice and smart. I just can't justify a $6 coffee with milk. read more

Love this addition to our local community. I've ordered the salted caramel iced drink each time I've been there and I love it. Great hangout for many reasons. The back room is spacious with comfortable seating and there's a workbench for those who want to park themselves in front of their laptops. It's a great place to work and also a great place to have coffee with a friend. My only criticism is they should partner probably with Susan's or someone else locally to provide some decent accompaniments for the drinks. Maybe I'm just not into the vibe of this place or maybe I just like The Black Cow too much and there isn't enough room in this town for two coffee shops, but I don't plan on going back. It's elegance, simplicity and limited selection is just not what I am looking for in a coffee shop.
