We were looking for a café, where we could set up a board game, get a nice cup of coffee, and the music would not be so loud that we could not enjoy one another's company. When I say, we found the perfect spot, we found the perfect spot. They were playing music, but not at that stupid loud volume that everybody seems to think they need to play music in a venue where you want to have a meal with friends or a cup of coffee and chat. It was there, but not intrusive. It was a great combination of eclectic without that mainstream pablum that you hear in every Starbucks, every elevator, every doctors office, everywhere. They had a wonderful selection of coffee and all of it was very reasonably priced. The staff was lovely; greeted me immediately and went out of their way to be kind. We found a great table and we were able to play and never felt like we were taking up too much space. Other people found their tables and everybody was very friendly. The decor was funky and just what I want from a café. They had food and pastries that I didn't get a chance to try, but my mocha with oat milk was fantastic. This is clearly a very popular spot in the area. It's got a good amount of outdoor patio seating plus a number of tables indoors. The aesthetic is quirky and eclectic, which lends a homey vibe. I opted for the Chicken bowl, and was surprised that the price was so reasonable. But then when I received the order, I realized it's because the portion is quite small. It's was pretty tasty but quite basic. It was prepared quickly, though. I didn't feel inspired to try their coffee this visit but maybe another time. read more

Mount Kisco is one of my favorite towns to explore in Westchester. I hadn't been to the area near the train station in so long but was on my way back from Cross River and decided to make a pit stop. I had already had one coffee, but why not grab another? Entered this spot and it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. The latte art is pretty and the mugs are very nice (see pic). The ambience and space is beautiful and has a great little kid corner for little ones to play while parents sit back and enjoy their drinks. Mocha latte: sold to me as "very rich" but fell short - was expecting something more along the lines of thick melted chocolate in coffee with steamed milk but instead ended up with a drink that was lacking in that richness factor that you expect with chocolate. Maybe ordering the large just increased the milk content to without a proportionate increase to chocolate. Espresso: a little on the acidic side, which we did not personally like.
