My score is only based on the one drink I have tried. I might swing back again to try dessert one day (since they make them in house - they said the freshest day is whenever they post on their Facebook page). The service and people were great, the guy at the front answered all my questions as I waited and I would come back to give their desserts a chance (in case that may be their stronger suit). The tres leches, flan and chocoflan looked enticing. Maybe those are their forte! I asked how fresh the desserts are, and they say maximum 3 days. Decor-wise, they were fully Halloweed decked out! Kids were interested in going in to check out the store because of the skeletons, ghosts and balloons. On to our drink: We got the piña colada with whipped cream on top ($8.66 total). The drink is definitely something I would not come back for, as it was super sugary and barely a hint of coconut cream. Tasted like canned pineapple juice blended with ice. I didn't ask or see whether they used fresh or frozen fruit - maybe they did, maybe not. Someone please ask for me next time you order. We saved the rest of the drink to take home and re-blend with some thai coconut cream (cuz obviously your girl has some handy in her pantry). Instant level up / actual tropical piña colada drink. Safe to say, won't get that again. Either way, for the price point/sweetness factor, I'd probably stick to my go to drink spot across the street. P.S. They use clover but have not yet set up their loyalty program, but are in the midst of setting one up.

We ordered two sweet and one savory crepe as our "snack" after dinner lmao. Veggie crepe: love the vegetarian options. I also love how customizable it is. We didn't want the onions and mushrooms and were able to take those out in our order. This was amazing, gruyere was a really good choice of cheese here. Romeo and Juliet: vanilla cream, sliced bananas, strawberries, chocolate sauce, chantilly cream. Also very good, you can't go wrong with this combo. I do wish the bananas were actually sliced horizontally rather than vertically because it is hard to consume that large of a banana in a bite. I suppose I could cut it but don't give me more work to do. Chocolate brownie: holy shit this is genius. I don't recall there being dulche de leche drizzle like it says in the menu but basically it's a crepe with a fucking brownie on it and vanilla ice cream. Incredible. And I wonder why my weight went up on the scale today. Definitely need to order from here again when I'm feeling naughty.

When I say, we found the perfect spot, we found the perfect spot. They were playing music, but not at that stupid loud volume that everybody seems to think they need to play music in a venue where you want to have a meal with friends or a cup of coffee and chat. It was there, but not intrusive. It was a great combination of eclectic without that mainstream pablum that you hear in every Starbucks, every elevator, every doctors office, everywhere. They had a wonderful selection of coffee and all of it was very reasonably priced. The staff was lovely; greeted me immediately and went out of their way to be kind. We found a great table and we were able to play and never felt like we were taking up too much space. Other people found their tables and everybody was very friendly. The decor was funky and just what I want from a café. They had food and pastries that I didn't get a chance to try, but my mocha with oat milk was fantastic. False advertising. You no longer get a free drink anymore after spending $72+ to earn 12 stars (as…read moreof 5/6/2025). You are now limited to items under $6 ($5.99 to be exact). Per my last review, those drinks are all undrinkable due to overwhelming sweetness levels despite ordering 25-50%. Additionally, while the online voucher says 1 free regular drink, the two physical signs in store (see attached pictures) clearly say in bold green text, free drink (with no limits). I used to be a loyal customer since the beginning when they first opened, recommending this place to all my friends. The flavors and sweetness levels back then were edible and normal. However, with the downfall of quality control / cloying sweetness levels (that have not been fixed as of May 2025 - I just ordered a 25% sweet taro drink this weekend which came out 2-300% sweet levels. I love my sweets, but this place has made it undrinkable, unable to even force myself to drink - the drink went straight to the trash when I got home). I can no longer in good conscience recommend this place for bubble tea. Gongcha and hmart are better by far at quality control and consistency. I will return to making my own bubble tea from now on unless I'm in lower Westchester or the city.

It's weird to me how much better this location's food bar is compared to some of the other locations around. I can think of a few locations that need to pick up some lessons from the Chappaqua store! Oh, and their wraps are fantastic. You'd think that wrap recipes would be the same from store to store... but I guess not. Another thing I like about this Whole Foods is that they have an entire section of discounted items (those whose expiration dates are nearing). It's cool to be able to locate those items all in one place... and some of the deals are amazing. As for the staff, kudos to the hiring manager for assembling such a top-notch team. They are also super friendly and very knowledgeable... and if they don't know the answer, they quickly find other team members to assist. If you are in Chappaqua, stop by this WF! I'm confident you'll be pleased.

Tonight I wasn't hungry for diner but wanted a little something so I got my husband to drive me, he parked in the town hall lot and waited in the car. The inside is very bright and welcoming, as was the woman who helped me. They have an extensive menu of smoothies, teas and some waffles and donuts - all seem freshly made to order. I went with the banana split smoothie, though I'm not sure how much real banana was in there and think the flavor perhaps had come from the protein powder but I didn't watch her make it so I'm not sure. I like that if looked exactly like the picture when served and tasted good. My husband got the 'tropical' which is mango and pineapple, I asked for the addition of strawberries and spinach and that was no problem. I was ready to pay and to my surprise, she tells me 'today is buy 2 get one free'!!! Score for me, so I went with the Oreo cheesecake shake. It tasted good, again though I'm not sure where the flavor comes from, because I don't think there's real cheesecake or Oreo in it. I gave them 4 stars because the parking is a real challenge and I'm not sure what exactly the flavor comes from and what fruit is actually used in it and I don't know how they keep the drinks 200 calories. However, I will definitely be going back again and can't wait to try out the teas!

I'm sure you've never heard of him because you're too young, but we worked for JAQUES MAXIMUM. A little Napoleon that could get the same results even better results without screaming constantly! Nothing like being the only woman in the kitchen and having a bunch of Frenchman, screaming obscene words at you in both English and French. Why I tolerated that I still don't know I really wanted to learn. I was on the line with Alfred Portale, and was his commis. He opened his extremely successful restaurant after Jacque decided he had had enough and went back to France. He came every two weeks straight from the airport and started screaming before he even saw anyone down the long hallway. I'm truly not kidding. Alfred warned me don't look the CHEF in the eye. I think that's the first thing he ever said to me. Then the Anita Hill hearings happens and the backlash was incredible. They would sexually harass me every day and then ask me was I going to sue them? I'm not a violent person, but I felt like taking a kitchen knife and never mind. This was my first job in a good Kitchen and the manager had cocaine running out of his nose when he was telling me that I was only worth three dollars an hour. I didn't go to some fantasy school. I went to the school of hard knocks. My husband and I spoke to Mark a very nice guy, at least to us. Most people don't want to get any feedback and that's a big mistake. We gave him. Our feedback thanked him and left it at that he thanked us as well. We really were restaurant consultants. It's so easy to see what's wrong in the kitchen and what's dangerous in the kitchen at first glance and then when you dig deeper, oh my gosh, it's a wonder we even eat out anymore. If people saw what went on behind the scenes, they would never ever eat out, but we know ROOT 2 RISE is not we repeat not like that. You also sell some great crackers. We can't find anywhere else. We kept the box it is called BETTER BUCKWHEAT. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND NOT TERRIBLY OVERPRICED. I think someone might be making mistake when stalking the shelves for crackers and other snacks. Two wonderful ladies were sitting right in front of where the snacks are and when they started looking, we found a few items that are not vegan at all. We don't know how to send this privately, otherwise we would. Phone is terribly compromised. We love your Restaurant and wanted to succeed more than you can believe. We both have been vegan since 1996. We were both vegetarians at about age 11. We really appreciate your great work. Sorry we are terrible at technology and also the phone. She ain't so great.
