Thank you, Nikita! My husband and I worked at a couple of Michelin star restaurants when NOVELLE…read moreCUISINE was all the rage. It was an exercise and torture. I'm sure you've never heard of him because you're too young, but we worked for JAQUES MAXIMUM. A little Napoleon that could get the same results even better results without screaming constantly! Nothing like being the only woman in the kitchen and having a bunch of Frenchman, screaming obscene words at you in both English and French. Why I tolerated that I still don't know I really wanted to learn. I was on the line with Alfred Portale, and was his commis. He opened his extremely successful restaurant after Jacque decided he had had enough and went back to France. He came every two weeks straight from the airport and started screaming before he even saw anyone down the long hallway. I'm truly not kidding. Alfred warned me don't look the CHEF in the eye. I think that's the first thing he ever said to me. Then the Anita Hill hearings happens and the backlash was incredible. They would sexually harass me every day and then ask me was I going to sue them? I'm not a violent person, but I felt like taking a kitchen knife and never mind. This was my first job in a good Kitchen and the manager had cocaine running out of his nose when he was telling me that I was only worth three dollars an hour. I didn't go to some fantasy school. I went to the school of hard knocks. My husband and I spoke to Mark a very nice guy, at least to us. Most people don't want to get any feedback and that's a big mistake. We gave him. Our feedback thanked him and left it at that he thanked us as well. We really were restaurant consultants. It's so easy to see what's wrong in the kitchen and what's dangerous in the kitchen at first glance and then when you dig deeper, oh my gosh, it's a wonder we even eat out anymore. If people saw what went on behind the scenes, they would never ever eat out, but we know ROOT 2 RISE is not we repeat not like that. You also sell some great crackers. We can't find anywhere else. We kept the box it is called BETTER BUCKWHEAT. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND NOT TERRIBLY OVERPRICED. I think someone might be making mistake when stalking the shelves for crackers and other snacks. Two wonderful ladies were sitting right in front of where the snacks are and when they started looking, we found a few items that are not vegan at all. We don't know how to send this privately, otherwise we would. Phone is terribly compromised. We love your Restaurant and wanted to succeed more than you can believe. We both have been vegan since 1996. We were both vegetarians at about age 11. We really appreciate your great work. Sorry we are terrible at technology and also the phone. She ain't so great.

Smells and tastes like a pile of gym clothes. But that samosa bowl and soup? Incredible and cannot wait to get it again. The beet burger is also pretty good, especially with the spicy aioli, but nothing beats the latter dishes. Trying the tofu-bean wrap next time, too. 5 stars!!!!

My only complaint is the evening sushi guy (when I usually shop) won't bother to make basic sashimi platter offerings when they run out, despite continuing making other items as you stand there. Frustrating because the guy who runs the area during the day is so gracious and I'm sure would do it. The quality is good when they have what u want. Otherwise this store is a gem.

Instead I steady mog mamas at the most marvelous food markets around. DeCicco & Sons in Sleepy Hollow is as fine as they come. Overly decadent in the greatest of ways. Grandioso, Marveloso, Magnifico. Dual Floor Monster. Bar. Food Hall. Deli. Bakery. Event host. F it - I may mess around and get married at the joint. That patio looking over the bridge? A sleeper in sleepy hollow? Not for much longer - Eventually those stubborn southern westchesterites will begin to travel up to celebrate in the glory of Christopher Walken's movie suit. Hollow at the heart, and rarely sleepy... but I still know feel at home in this river town. Doing the river dance on a river boat, and docking on board right outside of De Cheeks. When I feel like unwinding, when I feel like luxury, when I feel as good as I look... this is where I come. You can find me here often, but how would you even know it was me? Mysteriously, yet happily... I depart with praise and compliments for the legends on Legend Drive - LB out.

False advertising. You no longer get a free drink anymore after spending $72+ to earn 12 stars (as…read moreof 5/6/2025). You are now limited to items under $6 ($5.99 to be exact). Per my last review, those drinks are all undrinkable due to overwhelming sweetness levels despite ordering 25-50%. Additionally, while the online voucher says 1 free regular drink, the two physical signs in store (see attached pictures) clearly say in bold green text, free drink (with no limits). I used to be a loyal customer since the beginning when they first opened, recommending this place to all my friends. The flavors and sweetness levels back then were edible and normal. However, with the downfall of quality control / cloying sweetness levels (that have not been fixed as of May 2025 - I just ordered a 25% sweet taro drink this weekend which came out 2-300% sweet levels. I love my sweets, but this place has made it undrinkable, unable to even force myself to drink - the drink went straight to the trash when I got home). I can no longer in good conscience recommend this place for bubble tea. Gongcha and hmart are better by far at quality control and consistency. I will return to making my own bubble tea from now on unless I'm in lower Westchester or the city.
