I do wish the bananas were actually sliced horizontally rather than vertically because it is hard to consume that large of a banana in a bite. I suppose I could cut it but don't give me more work to do. Chocolate brownie: holy shit this is genius. I don't recall there being dulche de leche drizzle like it says in the menu but basically it's a crepe with a fucking brownie on it and vanilla ice cream. Incredible. Under new ownership for the past several years things are great. Relaxed, inviting atmosphere (indoor and outdoor seating), friendly staff, and yummy consistently good food. There is no table service in the cafe, you order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. They do deliver your food to your table if you sit outside. Sitting indoors or out, you are expected to bus your table when you leave. Who doesn't love any time of the day breakfast menu?! My go to is an omlet (ham & swiss or spinach & feta) with a croissant and either salad or potatoes. Excellent soups, quiche of the day, burgers, and a really solid corned beef reuben sandwich. Save room for dessert and coffee (trust me), if you have a sweet tooth the bakery items are divine.

My husband got a jajik sandwich and a chocolate tart. My sandwich was delicious and filling and the fries were very good. I had some of the chocolate tart also and that was really good. Soooo chocolatey. Lamentably, I forgot to take pictures of my food. I was so hungry and it looked so good I scarfed it down and only as I was wiping the crumbs out of my mustache did I realize I didn't get any photos. I guess I'm a bad Yelper. The staff was beyond lovely and welcoming and I'm already looking forward to coming back for events like "story time". They also have the cutest outdoor patio with a little play area for kids. It's clear they designed it with the understanding that moms rarely get to enjoy a hot cup of coffee - yet they managed to create a space that is perfect for kids without feeling like it's solely a "kid space". It really strikes the perfect balance for those with or without kids. I really liked the interior-- it was clean, modern and comfortable and would be a great place to do remote work, ready or study. The view of the lake dock is also nice. Overall a good cafe that I would go to again.
