Belgian waffle, omelette with cheese and Swiss, brioche sandwich with scrambled egg and cheddar
    Masumi T.

Cozy place with warm lighting and great service. They even brought a kids cup for my two-year-old without us asking, which I really appreciated. We had a mushroom and Swiss omelette with homemade fries, a side of bacon which came with 4 strips, a Belgian waffle, a brioche sandwich with scrambled egg and cheddar, and a Bloody Mary. Everything was good overall, though the brioche bun was a little dry for my taste. I'm not a big fan of home fries, but my friend enjoyed them. The Bloody Mary came with a piece of bacon and had lots of horseradish. Great meal and great service -- would definitely return.

I had heard good things about this restaurant so was looking forward to trying it. We stopped for dinner on a rainy evening. It was pretty busy so we thought it would be a good sign. Unfortunately the only guarantee was delayed service. Hubby's beer was expired by a decent amount of time and they didn't offer anything else lol... my burger was pretty good, hubby's dish was ok. Overall nothing impressive though.

Always a great meal here! Tried a chicken Panini with mozzarella tomato, etc. Excellent! And as always, the tuna melt rules! Service is always perfect and everyone there is extremely nice. Very personable.

Very cute place! It's like eating in a pretty barn. Food clean, not greasy, great place for breakfast. I had the huevo ranchero and I would highly recommend. I was even able to switch the meat to bacon. Waitress was very sweet and checked on us a lot. Will be returning for sure. Cute little beehive on the roof.

    Bacado omlette

So happy I finally made a reservation here! Came here for brunch with a friend around noon. The place was packed but we were able to be seated right away. Before we ordered our entrees, the waitress asked if we wanted a cinnamon bun. Naturally we had to get one! Note: they are huge and one of them can probably feed 4. We both decided to order omelettes. I ordered the "Bacavado" and she ordered the California. The hashbrowns on the side were seasoned perfectly and a good addition to the meal. It also came with toast, and they do provide butter to add some yourself. Definitely a green flag for me!

    Lemon ricotta pancakes

Stopped in for breakfast on the weekend. It has upscale diner vibes. Large breakfast selection and lunch items. I got the special frittata and my sister got the lemon ricotta pancakes. Since they were both on the special menu we were anticipating they were solid choices. The frittata just wasn't what I was expecting. It was topped with artichokes, sundried tomatoes and Brie. I was expecting it to be mixed into the omelet instead of just sprinkled on top. There was no taste other than canned items. It didn't even look appetizing in the plate. Not my favorite. The pancakes were light, but not super fluffy. They had a hint of lemon taste but could have been a bit more. Bacon was tasty and crispy. They also offer some brunch beverages, mimosas and bloody Mary's etc. Overall, high points and low points, would give it another try if I was back in the area.

Beehive seems to be off the beaten path but glad I found it. The place is awesome. It looks like a breakfast spot but they serve lunch and dinner as well. The homemade coffee cake was served warm and best to eat right there because it gets stale quick. The eggs benedict were lovely. Corned beef hash looked delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

If you're lucky enough to visit on a night when Izzy is behind the bar, consider yourself fortunate. He's not only a "DJ" of cocktails, but warm, friendly, and fun to be around. Honestly, sitting at the bar is just as good as, if not better than, a seat in the dining room. We travel from Manhattan just to come here, and Hudson House never disappoints. My daughter was driving up to CT from NYC and wanted to meet In Katonah for dinner. Our server, Allison, was the best and the food satisfied everyone's choices. To cap off the experience, and when the crowd thinned out, the music streaming was a stellar selection of great oldies music from the 50's - 70's. My only "ding" in my review is the noise level when we arrived, sitting at a table near the front of the restaurant. The brick wall, and glass windows were not acoustic friendly. However, I heard later that one half of the restaurant was much quieter.

Buffalo Shrimp were the standout starter: crispy, perfectly sauced, and the bacon-blue cheese dip was next-level. I'd come back for that alone. Fish Tacos had great texture -- flaky cod, bright cilantro-lime slaw, and a nice kick from the jalapeño avocado aioli. Farmhouse Burger was a winner. Gruyere, caramelized onions, and bacon all worked together beautifully -- rich without being greasy. Fries were crisp and hot, just how they should be. Service was friendly and quick even on a busy day, and the space has that warm, rustic charm that makes you want to linger. Overall, Farmhouse Tavern is doing it right -- thoughtful food, good energy, and solid execution. Not flawless, but absolutely worth the visit.

I found myself at Freddy's to celebrate my dad's birthday. He was in the mood for a burger and…read moreafter searching the Westchester area we ultimately landed here. The pics, reviews, and menu all seemed to point towards a yes - so off we went. Freddy's is located within the main commercial hub of Pleasantville. It's not a large restaurant, but holds a decent amount of seating with tasteful and laid-back decor. We were there right at opening at 4:30p, so it wasn't crowded but started filling up as time progressed. The menu is mostly American - arranged by apps, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts. I decided to start with the burrata which was served with diced butternut squash, brown butter, and grilled bread. This was...not what I was expecting. Burrata usually comes as an intact sphere that you cut open to reveal the soft cheese inside. This was already broken, and served in an almost deconstructed way. It honestly looks like a way to cut corners as it was definitely not a whole burrata. That, and the lack of flavor do not make it worth the $17 they charge. My main was better - I ordered the smoked chicken which was a breast on the bone and came with grits, spinach, and honey au jus. This was tasty - the chicken was juicy with crispy skin, and the au jus added a welcome sweetness to the grits and spinach. We opted for dessert because birthday - I chose the carrot cake which was just okay. No nuts, raisins, or noticeable carrots - so, a spice cake? As a side note, we were there during HV Restaurant week, however in lieu of a dedicated menu they offered a prix fixe app/entree/dessert off their menu. It sounded great at face value, but then we were told the portions would be smaller - and for items they couldn't shrink they up-charged if we ordered off the regular menu. IMO, not the best way to do restaurant week - either have a dedicated menu for it or don't participate at all. That being said, we decided to order off the regular menu. Service was good, everyone was friendly and food came out at a good pace. Overall, Freddy's sent me mixed signals - the food wasn't bad, but this isn't a place I would go out of way to try again - it's more of a local spot in my perspective. If circumstances found me here again, though, I wouldn't be mad.

The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.
