Nothing special. Had the pork chop plate. Two boneless pork chops with a baked potato. Pork chops very dry. Medium sized baked potato with more sour cream & butter on it, than potato. Had to scoop most of it out. Server told us the reason the restaurant is called seven is because the owner had 7 kids born on the 7th month or the 7th day or something like that. Always smells good when driving 5 but I don't think I will be going back read more

Apparently service doesn't mean anything anymore. When we complained about the gravy for the chicken fried steak we were told thank you for letting us know. No apology no break on our $50 meal check for 2 seniors. Service was horrible. Our waitress never even bothered to ask us if we need anything we had to keep calling her over and it wasn't like it was a mad busy time. As a former waiter I know how to take care of my customers and this was horrendous. We used to go here regularly we will never go back again. read more

Awful! Eggs cold, crepes cold and so hard I couldn't cut with a fork. French dip had rubbery meat and hard roll as well as very salty. Only came here cuz had a gift certificate. Not going to use the rest of it. Took home to dogs. read more

Decided to give this place another try and disappointed yet again .... Was sat at a table in the back and ask what we wanted to drink. 20 min later no drinks ,order not taken . then they are surprised when you walk up to ask if anyone was going to work or just sit and talk ..... yep no tip and never again read more

Never again, subpar food, never get your order correct and when they do the food has no real flavor. I have ate here for the last time. You have been warned. read more

Very good service excellent attitude and they serve an excellent breakfast. Definitely a good place to go

Last night our group of 20+ Catholic Daughters reserved a room to hold our Anniversary dinner. The room was ready when we arrived and personalized menus were on the table. Our choices and the cost with our group name printed on placemat was special. Our drink orders were taken & then food orders while we greeted one another and chatted. Seven has wine (red zin) thank you, as well as all the usual coffee, soft drinks, and large glasses of water. I had a pork chop & mashed potatoes with brown gravy on the side, along with toasted sourdough bread already buttered. Around me people were enjoying Tri-tip and lemon chicken. The dinner only came with one side but for an additional cost (not sure of $) you could receive an additional side. I would have liked more of the yummy bread! Our servers were great: friendly, patient, humorous and generally happy people. When it was time to bring out & cut the anniversary cake, they brought plates & even helped serve. We will definitely plan future gatherings at Seven! read more

Came here for breakfast. The prices were very reasonable and the food was good. We had quick service and the food came quickly. We did have to ask for utensils, then ask for ketchup and sugar for our tea, our food and drinks were brought out without any of the normal items you get at other places (napkins, forks etc...) I had to get the attention of a waitress each time and the server made the comment "who's your waitress?" because she wasnt my server but I didn't know where mine was. She seemed irritated I was asking for stuff but, I mean, we need a fork to eat. They do offer military discounts on the check. That was well appreciated. read more

We have never been in person, but we order through DoorDash and are impressed every time with the order accuracy, portions, and flavor....My fiancé loves how much gravy comes with his biscuits and gravy and I love that I can ask for a side of ranch in the comment section and they always include more than enough! read more

The Bartender got rude and defensive with our entrance after 8pm and asked if we were part of "the party". I said no, then he said "sorry were closed". My friend questioned the open sign and open door which made the bartender get defensive towards us. I also got defensive because I tried to call the venue and got no answer. Moral of the story, please provide better customer service next time. Definitely will never come back! read more

Smells like old grease and dust. Took about 15 for them to come around for our order, although they were polite. When the food finally arrived, the only thing wrong was two order of "extra crispy" hashbrowns were mushy. The food is overall ehhhh. The gravy was just not good at all. And the biscuit was it's own kind of yuck. Pretty good onions rings, but not good enough to go only for those. read more

Stopped in for a few beers & appetizers Sat night...very few people in bar...sat at a table, no one behind bar for service , waited 10 minutes & left.... Restaurant/bar area was dingy , low lights, dirty.... We used to frequent Yukon jacks at Clovis and Herndon years ago before Seven took over and moved to Shaw/ Minnewawa. .... There's no comparison... Can't understand why people go to eat in a dirty dingy stuffy restaurant... Won't return read more

If you are looking for good chicken fried steak, this is not the place for you. The protein portion was good, but the gravy was old, stoggy, and tasted awful. I am betting that the chef didn't taste the dish before they sent it out. The restaurant must be using very old oil in the deep frier. Frozen mixed vegetables tasted off. The salad dressing was thinned down to watery liquid. General undusted environment. Servers all had smiles with good dispositions. read more

The breakfast menu is so good, the portion are big. Waitresses are always pleasant, they know what service with a smile means. We tried their lunch menu, I love their soups n tuna sandwich. My husband love their burgers, the curly fries n French fries need a little work. But all in all I love this place, I'm always telling my friends about this place. Keep up the good work Seven read more

Pretty good variety on their menu items. Very reasonable prices! They give a good veteran's discount! Waitresses are consistently the BEST in this area: Martha, Dominique, Elizabeth. I left a paperback book there -- and remembered to ask them if they had it--- They did! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT & CHILL :-) read more

Worst food ever! The Ranch dressing is absolutely disgustingly disappointing! Their quality of Ranch is flavorless and watery. The bathrooms are disgusting the toilet had black mold in it.. the water is clearly tapwater with no filter it's terrible! CLEAN UP THIS PLACE AND GET BETTER RANCH!!!! Stop being cheep! BARFF! read more

I love the food and the staff is the best. My father and I go almost everyday and it is like coming home for lunch.

Went for dinner Ordered grilled chicken with mushrooms and garlic w mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetables. Came with salad. Salad was out of a bag and tasted like sand Main course was ok This owner is the former owner of Yukon Jacks in Clovis. Interior of this restaurant is very drab and unappealing with too much use of pine wood. Noticed a few flies flying around. Noticed female server sitting on bench near front door playing/using her phone during her course of work. After we were shown to our table, no one came back to take our order. Had to flag a server down (not busy) to inform that we are ready to order. Then waited a couple of more mins for our server to arrive. She did apologize for the mixup and discounted the bill slightly. Will not return. read more

Fast food service, coffee refills were timely but I was totally turned off from my dirty, crusty coffee cup.

I have no idea how the food is, I didn't stay that long. We sat outdoors, the menus were dirty and sticky. I ordered an iced tea and it tasted awful, my friend tasted it too and she didn't like it. We thought it might be old. No big deal, I asked for water instead. I went to find the restroom to wash my hands. The manager approached me, he seemed angry and asked me why I didn't like the tea. I told him it tasted old, he replied that it the tea had just been brewed. My bad, I apologized and said it must be me. He walked away laughing and shaking his head. Calm down Mr. Manager, it's just tea. I wouldn't have even mentioned it if he hadn't been so rude. I get to the restroom to wash my hands and no soap. Two soap dispensers, bone dry. Not even a little bubble. I look around, nothing on the counter. Told the waitress and she laughed. I was done. Not eating at a restaurant that doesn't have soap in the bathroom, not to mention no hand sanitizer available. Gross. Where do the employees wash after using the restroom? Yuck! read more

Not a super busy Sunday morning. Took a long, long time to get a drink order. The food came out relatively quickly but it really wasn't great. I had french toast, sausage and eggs. Baby had a pancake, sausage and egg. The coffee was ok, and they had flavored creamer which I like. But nothing stood out taste wise, and the service was lacking. read more

The waitstaff are friendly, and service is quick. However, the food is uninspiring and dull. I ordered the chicken strip dinner with curly fries. The fries were cooked well, but the chicken strips were a bit dry and looked old. read more

This place is sits in the low end of average. Came here for breakfast and realized it was a diner type restaurant with a bar. It's a big place but not grand in any way. Ordered two eggs, country potatoes and bacon, it was alright. I had to add salt and pepper to the potatoes, they didn't really have any taste. The customer service wasn't great. There seemed to be only one server and he was overwhelmed so we didn't get refills and it took a while to get things, such as condiments. read more

I am actually really surprised by the reviews on this restaurant because every time I come the People are really nice and the food is always great so I don't understand. But I have came three times now and I love this place. This is owned by the people that own brooks ranch and both places are really good. Back to this place. So every time I have came the food has been amazing and fast. Services had never been an issue here. I usually order the country fried steak or the fresh toast with ham. And like I said this place Is awesome and really good. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I hate to write a bad review. We chose Seven for a meal on Sunday morning, seating ourselves in the bar area to watch the games. It was busy but not crazy busy. We sat for about 10 minutes before someone took our drink order. A beer for the hubby, coffee for me. Both were brought fairly quickly although I had to ask for and then wait for creamer and sugar. Menus were also delivered at this time. We then waited about another 15 minutes for our order to be taken. I asked for a refill of coffee and 2 waters. Another 30 minutes passed before our meals were served. Almost an hour after we first sat down. Still no coffee or water or utensils. Food was lukewarm. My chicken sandwich was tasteless and I had to remove the warm wilted lettuce. The fries were cool and soggy. Still no refill of coffee. I ended up leaving most of my disgusting meal. The food was tasteless and had obviously sat under a warmer. The service was extremely slow, almost nonexistent and I never received a refill of coffee although I had asked for one. Maybe it was just a flook and we hit Seven on a bad day, at a bad time...but we won't be back. read more

I actually was excited about this place .I had seen it driving by and thought it looked cool. They had some reasonable specials posted outside and looked cool. Stops their , I walked in the restaurant area and their was never a host in the front . I waited for about 4 to 5 minutes then walked to the bar. The bartender never said a word. She was pretty busy I'll give her that but atleast a Hello. Nope not even that. Never had a chance to try the food so it's 1 star. read more

Had the pork chop tonight. It was so tough I had to look at the steak knife to see if I was using the right side. Could hardly chew it. The bake potato was good. My daughter had the grilled chicken. It was over cooked and tough. My wife had the chili Verdi omelette. The Chile verdi was tasting of old grease or freezer burn. read more

First time eating here... probably the last time too. Hostess & waitress were very friendly and the place looked clean and Covid compliant. Everything but the food was good. My wife & I ate here on Thursday November 19, 2020 around 7:30'ish PM, (During covid) but honestly it was like the cook(s) quit trying. I ordered the Fish & Chips for $11.99. It was truly thee Worst Fried Fish I Ever Ate. The batter on the three small pieces of fish tasted like an old oily warm sponge. Ive fried a lot of fish in my life time and whoever fried this fish didn't let the oil reach temp before they dropped the fish. The batter soaked up the oil. I tried to mask the taste with tarter sauce but the tarter sauce they served was some off brand packets. I mean come on! Even a bad cook can make decent tarter sauce! Ya just gotta try. Thankful the chips (French Fries) must have been fried in fresh hot oil because they were decent fries. My wife ordered the Lemon Chicken also $11.99 over rice pilaf. For an extra $2.59 she added a green salad with her entree. The simple green salad was fresh, the croutons were crunchy and the blue cheese dressing was just okay. As for the entree... that's another issue. We've concluded the whole dish was cooked last week then it was put in a refrigerator until someone ordered it. Then the "cook" warmed it up in a microwave and served it. It was suppose to be Lemon Chicken, It was dry chicken breast with a little lemon pepper seasoning. She was expecting a lemon, garlic, butter sauce over freshly seared chicken breast. My wife literally took one bite of the tiniest dried out piece of chicken breast you've ever seen then boxed the remaining plate up for our dog. I don't know, maybe after all this Covid crap is over we'll give'em another try someday for breakfast. I've heard good things about their breakfast. But definitely not for dinner. read more

Sorry but all 5 of us were disappointed! Coffee was cold, hashbrowns were black and toast had butter dripping everywhere. Did not like my chicken fried steak at all. This is the 1st place we have eaten when we moved to Clovis from Southern California a month ago and OMG if I Could give them negative 0 stars I would. They should be ashamed of themselves for serving such nasty food. I went there with my whole family and even my 5 years old kept on saying yucky all the way home ( he ordered his all time fave food, pancakes for Pete sake!) they should not be in business at all. The nastiest place I have ever eaten hands down. We took the rest of the food home, even our dog won't eat the steak I had ordered. They all ended up in the trash. Felt like I am going to get food poisoning from this place. The only thing that is right in this place was the service, staff are nice and very friendly So please, people DO NOT eat here! read more

If you run a restaurant or thinking about becoming a manager this is the place to work-you can hone your skills and actually practice real world skills on WHAT NOT TO DO in the restaurant business. I'm typically very low key generous with reviews because I know in tough times you want ATTRACT customers instead of scaring them away. Well, I couldn't run soon enough or fast enough. Tried the place; from the outside the place looked packed, parking lot was bustling and stalls occupied. Fooled me real good, come inside and admire the wall to wall wood paneling-and when I say wall to wall, I'm talking tinder box wall to wall. If there was a shortage of pine this place has them ALL. Heck enough with interior decoration, let's get to the food-to be fair the burger was good. Perfectly cook with crisp bacon. Everyone around seem to enjoy this army style buffet or they don't know any better. Price accordingly if you had to choose from Denny's to Seven, RUN TO DENNYS!!! Staff, one word-clueless. Don't know what it is perhaps I'm witnessing the stepford wives sequel, or the walking dead-not looking at customers, they need to be told what's needed not assuming perhaps the empty glass means......????????? Hello!!!!!! Here's a tip, you're not getting one...ha! In all-rock bottom prices, lots of serving, roomy stalls, comfortable settings, great lighting....has great potential but near sighted management. Like I said, great potential-unfortunately they don't know it. read more

Stopped in again on the following week sat in the bar area again and noticed some of the issues the other reviewer's were having problems with. The facility was clean, but food this week was a little bit off - apparently not the same cook?? We were here for the earlier game and realized that the free chips and salsa we enjoyed the previous visit were only available later in the day, not for the first games of the day. Very odd. Finally, there was one moment with about 15 of us in the bar when the bartender just flat out disappeared. We were literally all looking around and scratching our heads for 10 minutes. It was a weird quiet moment. It felt like we were being punked or something. One of the other customers went up to the restaurant area and found someone to chase down our bartender. When she finally returned she had an odd quirky look.... Smoke break maybe?? You would think they would have someone else cover the bar while she was gone? read more

The only reason I am even giving this place a review is because they have good drinks for cheap. If your looking for diner type of place, you're better off going to Denny's... Honestly they need to learn the tricks of the diner world. read more

We came here last Saturday with a party of 24 to celebrate my daughters birthday! She wanted breakfast and it's nearly impossible finding an establishment that can accommodate such a large party for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Our service was excellent! Our food was excellent! Everything about our experience was excellent! I was pretty impressed how our server, and those in the kitchen were able to get our food out at the same time, with a restaurant pretty busy with other diners. Fabulous job! read more
