I've been trying to book a simple table for 2 for dinner on my birthday... and the reservation system refuses to work. The app keeps saying "error" or "no tables available." I highly doubt that -- it's a Monday night two weeks from now, lol. And honestly, this isn't new. Every single time I've ever tried to make a reservation here, this has been the result. It NEVER works. Smh. What makes it even worse is that there's no phone number to call to reach anyone at the buffet directly. Absolutely no way to get help, no way to confirm a reservation, no way to speak to a human being. This new booking system has been a major fail, and it's incredibly frustrating for guests who want to dine here. Can a manager please reach out or provide a direct number where I can actually speak with someone to secure a reservation? I'd appreciate any assistance.... read more

That a buffet is reservation only tells you something. One of the best buffets locally, definitely not the typical cafeteria style food of most buffets. I recently went for lunch. The mashed potatoes were delicious, fried chicken was really good and I also really enjoyed the orange chicken. Such a wide variety of food choices. I only had room to sample one dessert, the cherry cobbler, and that was pretty good too. They had so many I wish I could have eaten a few more! read more

Man am I glad that this was free because I would definitely not be happy if I had to pay retail. I went here for the lobster buffet which occurs on Wednesday and Thursday. It was packed to the brim and there were no available reservations a week out. The only other option was to wait in line to get on a wait-list to get in line, which didn't take very long at around 430 pm. The interior dining area is large but the actual buffet is on the smaller side. They did not have placards describing the items so I had to ask what a few things were. There was also a line for the lobster as expected that moved quickly. They were ready for the crush of people. The selection itself was a bit boring. I'm used to Vegas buffets so I guess my standards are pretty high. I didn't eat very much savory food besides the lobster and some dim sum. I even got a salad. I didn't take pictures because the steam tables were pretty janky looking and unappealing. Desserts were disappointing. Dry or stale was pretty much how they went. Even the ice cream flavors were unlabeled.. not sure why they don't bother. Service was good. They were quick to clear dishes and they were generous with refills and clean napkins. Amazing service from Dewi! My parents come to Yamava almost every day and eat at the Serrano Buffet about once a week. They always ask for Dewi as their server. I rarely come, but today I joined my mom for a little mom and son date, and I finally got to meet Dewi for myself. Now I completely understand why my parents love her so much. She's absolutely amazing, so friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and takes pride in giving her guests the best experience possible. She goes above and beyond without even being asked, constantly checking in, anticipating what you need, and making you feel welcome like family. I've always wanted to try the buffet at Yamavaa. But the line is typically long and I come to the casino sporadically and don't plan reservations a week in advance. But this day was different. The line was small and I was lucky enough to encounter Jacqueline. She made room for me even when I didnt have reservations and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. Came in after finding out last time you need a RESERVATION! WTF? For a divvy buffet? The waitress we had was very kind and up on it, but the food sucked! The ribs were just horrible and dry, the fried chicken was so overtly done under the crispy part.The sushi chef or whatever he was, was very rude to women especially, guess it's their culture. The managers were all standing or walking around doing nothing..cant go wrong with salad, it was just ok. For the most part, nothing and I repeat nothing was good except the sesame balls. It was our first time at this buffet and our waitress, Rina, was amazing. She was very attentive and made sure we always had our drinks refilled and our shell buckets empty!! Though it was busy and she had multiple tables, she always came back around to check on us with a big smile on her face. It made the whole experience better knowing we had someone like her as our waitress. We came on a Friday night for the Seafood Extravaganza, and though the line was long, it moved pretty quickly. Upon entering the food area, we were surprised at how many crab legs there were. There were piles and PILES of them, with a choice of hot or cold crab legs. Personally, I opted for the cold ones since they tend to be less salty. Their prime rib was good too and was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Even though I was so full, I saw oysters during my last look-around and had to give them a try. I've never seen oysters at a buffet so I was definitely skeptical since I had a long day the next day, but to my surprise, everything was fine! The oysters were kept chilled on ice. They were so plump and pairing them with lemon and Tapatio made it even better. In regard to the desserts, crème brûlée was what caught my eye. I absolutely love a good crème brûlée, and though the caramel was slightly bitter, the custard was delightful. This was definitely a 10/10 experience and I would return in the future with my family, hopefully with Rina being our waitress again! read more
