We came for the weekend brunch and it was okay. I had always heard the Serrano buffet was comparable to Vegas casino buffets and it was half true. I think I'll have to visit for dinner to get the full experience but it was quite pricey for a brunch buffet. If I knew what was different between the weekday breakfast and weekend brunch, maybe my thoughts would be different. The food was okay. Most of it was on the bland side to me. Not a huge deal since you can add more salt. The fried chicken was a hitter though! You can't leave without eating that! The interior was clean and the check in process was easy. You do have to make a reservation and your entire party has to be present during check in. the staff were pretty nice and attentive, however they are pretty serious about their 90 min time limit. Once we hit that mark, they seemed kind of pushy to get us out. Wednesday and Thursday are seafood nights so I'll definitely be coming back to try that. read more

Wifey & I were in the area for a family event, so we made the drive out to Yaamava Casino to finally try the Serrano Buffet! Made it to the buffet for weekday lunch, pretty good value for AYCE at $29.95 a person! We had our players card so they offered us an extra $5 off per person, we'll take it! The lunch spread at the Serrano Buffet was pretty expansive. Lots to try from the Asian, American, and Italian stations! We of course sampled a little bit of everything! There were street tacos, California rolls (duh of course), dim sum, noodles, carved brisket, fried chicken, assorted pizzas, just so much to try! Don't forget the salad bar too! They had that extra chunky blue cheese dressing that I like LOL! Quality of the foods at the Serrano Buffet is standard like many other buffets around, but that wasn't bad at all. I got my street tacos made to order, many of the hot dishes were good because they weren't sitting under the food lamps for very long. The California rolls we had weren't soggy or dried out at all, and the fried chicken wasn't greasy! One of the bright stars of the buffet though is the dessert station! Wow! They had some great looking full-sized desserts and pastries available for consumption. We shared a nice-sized fruit tart that was made amazingly with fresh fruit! Very tantalizing and delicious! Overall it was an excellent experience for lunch at the Serrano Buffet. Service was quick & friendly - our drinks were always filled. We keep seeing ads along the highway going to Vegas about this buffet, so decided to make a trip out there to check it out. It was strange because we had to make reservation in advance, however when we got there the "reservation" line is practically the walk-in line. Our reservation was for 7p, but they told us we needed to stand in line when we got there around 6:10p. From a business standpoint, you're literally cutting into people's time to gamble! Why?!! On my last visit to Yaamava, we had comps for the breakfast and dinner at the Serrano Buffet. If i had to pay full price, it would not be worth it, to be honest. Most of the items were mediocre. I went to Serrano Buffet on their Wednesday lobster night and now I understand why people line up before the doors even open. The selection was impressive, but what surprisingly stood out most to me (besides the whole lobsters) was the create your own pasta station and the dessert section. The desserts were honestly some of the best I've ever had at a buffet. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and the staff kept things stocked even when it got busy. This review is about the Serrano Buffet on Friday, July 24, 2026 when they were having All You Can Eat Crab Legs for dinner. There were other food offerings, too, but the star of the meal was definitely the crab legs, which were excellent, and I ate several of them. They also had warm melted butter you could spoon into small cups in which to dip your chunks of crab meat, which made them super yummy. The only other foods I ate were Char Shu (delicious!) and chunks of juicy sweet cantelope (always delicious). I tried some ceviche, but it was way too spicy for me, so I wasn't able to eat more than a small taste. In addition to a delicious meal of crab legs, I was fortunate to have a wonderful server, whose name was Rodrigo. He was very personable and attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed to make my visit enjoyable. Thank you, Rodrigo! I eat at the buffet several times a week for different meals, and the major things that need improvement are that the air conditioning blows so hard with extremely cold air right over the buffet and throughout the entire room, so when you get your food back to your table, it is already cold. The other major problem is that the quality of the freshly carved meat served is not good. It is almost always very tough meat, and I end up leaving it on my plate after trying a bite. There has only been one time it was tender and delicious, and that was when they were serving picanha. There are always many delicious deserts served, and a lot of other good foods, too. The food at Serrano buffet is always super good and satisfying. My last visit was exceptional. We were celebrating my father's birthday, and Daryl was our server. He was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure my dad had a wonderful celebration. Even though the restaurant was very busy, Daryl remained diligent, checked in on us regularly, and made us feel well taken care of. He even gathered the staff to sing "Happy Birthday" to my dad, which made the occasion even more special. It's thoughtful gestures like these that make all the difference. Came in on a Tuesday night for the Latin menu and I was delighted by the heartwarming welcome from the waittress Riki. She showed me and my dear grandmother around and was on top of our drink orders and made us feel really at home. Some of the best and most sweet attitude ive gotten recently in the industry. Serrano Buffet's All-You-Can-Eat Lobster Buffet - is it all it's hyped up to be? LOCATION Serrano Buffet is located inside Yaamava Casino in Highland, CA. I was invited to dinner for their Lobster Buffet (offered on Wednesday and Thursday evenings). Although I can't eat lobster, there were plenty of choices to choose from. RESERVATIONS It was recommended to have reservations; however, you can wait in line and hope to have openings. LOBSTER BUFFET HOURS & PRICE The All-You-Can-Eat Lobster Buffet is from 4:00pm - 10:00pm and the price was $64.95 per person (April 2025). CHECK-IN & PAYMENT Upon check-in and with reservations, our party of 6 still waited in line. The young man at the front handling the payment was not friendly at all - I could tell he didn't want to be there. No smile at all, no greeting, just - blah. SEATING Once you've paid, a host will take you to a seating of their choice (you can't choose where you want to sit). They have plenty of seats; however, we still waited about 5-10 minutes for our table to be set. FOOD & DRINKS Once we got our table, our server Jenny introduced herself to us. She was wonderful! She immediately took down everyone's drink orders and then we were free to wander around the buffet area to make our food selections. Of course, there was a very long line for lobster. What I found out later was they actually had 3 areas serving lobster: left, middle, and right sides of the buffet. One thing to note is that the salad and desserts are all the way to the left side, near the entrance. It's a weird placement being so close to people waiting in line. Also, the prime rib I got was too rare and had the staff heat my slice more thoroughly. There were several people in line waiting to have their slices seared a bit more as well, so that took a long time. Only if they had cooked it properly the first time it would be great. The lamb was not good - being a leaner meat, my slice had a lot of gristle. Much of the food I selected and ate were subpar. It was very disappointing. I think the best thing I ate was a slice of pepperoni pizza because it was still nice and hot. The next good thing I had was the ice cream. Those were the only memorable items I enjoyed. AMBIANCE We sat in the navy blue booths that looked much nicer than the other sections. The lighting was much brighter here and I liked the area we sat in. There were other sections (near the restrooms, for example) that had yellowish lighting. Similarly, the far right side of the buffet had that awful tinge of yellowish lighting. The center area is much more pleasant, although very loud and with many people walking by. Outside of the center area looks very outdated. Yellowish lighting, yellowish wood, etc. STAFF Again, Jenny (she had a birthmark on her face) was very attentive and friendly. She made sure our drinks were filled and we made sure to tip her well. I can't say the interaction between the other staff members were great, as they didn't seem happy (cashier and "seating host"). Overall, I was surprised that a beautiful casino with big entertainers has such disappointing food. Maybe it was an off night? Or is it like this each time? Not sure I'll be back and I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and family. I was thankful for the invitation and the experience to try this out for the first and possibly last time. I've visited the Serano Buffet with my family earlier this week and I've been here a handful of times now. This is the Buffet located in the Yaamava' Casino. The food is pretty good and the buffet is a decent size but it doesn't seem like it's large enough to accommodate the number of people that actually want to eat there. So they are short on space but for what they have been able to manage with the crowds they've done a decent job. It's highly recommended to make reservations well in advance or you won't be able to eat here. They have different types of genres of food here. On the very left-hand side they have desserts and their salad bar. Then they have an Asian section, an American section, some Mexican food and some Italian food as well. So they have a lot of your bases covered and it is a great dining experience. The wait staff here was amazing and they very attentive. They also have a few of those bussing robots that go around so it's kind of fun. If you were looking for a buffet here at Yaamava, this is your only choice but it's a great option for what it is. I think the biggest thing as mentioned before is to make a reservation. Otherwise, there are a lot of other food options here and at the casino for you to enjoy. read more
