The menu was so vast that we had difficulty choosing what we wanted to eat. I've already determined that I will go back with my husband to try more items! But for today, I ordered the mushroom Swiss Panini, and she ordered the Caprese on a ciabatta bun. We chose these sandwiches already knowing that we would swap a half to be able to try both! We were not disappointed. The bread on the mushroom Swiss was buttery toasted goodness, and cheese to mushroom ratio was just right. I am happy to say that The burger and fries did not disappoint. I find myself craving them often. I will definitely head over there again in the near future. Our waitress told us that when one of their employees was 17 years old, the original owner personally taught him how to make their famous sausages. Today, at 81 years old, he's still there making sausage five days a week. That's over six decades of preserving the same recipes and traditions. When I asked what his favorite sausage was, she smiled and said, the veal sausage. That alone guarantees what I'm ordering next visit. In a world full of chain restaurants, places like Gazzolo's are becoming rare. Family-owned, authentic, and built on generations of craftsmanship.
