Those of you that frequent The Red Fox should carefully look at your receipts. If you're like me I visit at about the same of day. #1, pricing is very inconsistent. #2, the tax rate in S.B. County is 8.75%. Until recently Rick Davis (owner) was as high as 9.1%. He is still not exactly st 8.75%. I have numerous receipts to share. His longest tenured bartender, Jackie, has no idea what I'm talking about. I do acknowledge that owners can charge what they want, but multiple changes in short period make no sense. On 9/13 I had 3 bud light pints and was charged 4.98 per. Today I paid 4.60 per pint read more

Went here to watch the Niners game after checking out the McDonald's Museum in San Bernardino. I just asked for tonic water. The bartender comped me for it! Great customer service even though I'm not a regular. It's spacious with a huge projector screen for central viewing, as well as other standard big screens all around the walls. There are 2 pool tables. There's also a pinball machine and dartboard. There were other Niner fans here even though we were in the heart of SoCal, and we were whooping it up. Even though we were strangers, there was an instant connection. Best of all, the Niners won! I won't credit Red Fox for that, just the pinpoint arm of Brock Purdy. But the fun ambiance certainly buoyed the celebratory mood! The building is surrounded by a huge parking lot with a plethora of spaces. Why are we so devoid of real estate and parking in NorCal? The Red Fox is a great place to watch any game or just hang out. If I lived in the community, this would definitely be one of my regular haunts. read more

BEWARE OF BARTENDERS STEALING CREDIT CARDS My partner and I have been to The Red Fox a handful of times and have never had an issue with the staff until Sunday, 10/20/25. Upon arrival, my husband struck up a friendly conversation with a few men about football. It was a loud but good-natured discussion, everyone was laughing, debating teams, and having fun. Yet, one of the bartenders decided to single him out and told him to "calm down" because he was "too loud." Funny enough, he was the only Black man in the group, and also the only one she targeted, despite everyone else being just as loud. The double standard was clear and infuriating. We decided to leave after our first drink and head to a friend's place. I asked the bartender to close out our tab, and she handed me a credit card. Assuming it was my husband's, I signed the receipt and placed it in his wallet without double-checking. Hours later, while at the market, we realized the card she gave us wasn't his. We immediately drove back to The Red Fox to return the card and get his back. Instead of showing any concern or accountability, the bartender denied everything. She insisted we "never left a card" and claimed she "only had two cards the whole time," which made absolutely no sense. Why would she close out a card and give it back to us if we never opened a tab with my husband's credit card. When we checked my husband's credit card app, we discovered two unauthorized gas charges one for $60 and another for $50. Both made at gas stations right next to The Red Fox. The only charge from The Red Fox was for $5, again making no sense seeing how we had two mixed drinks. So we either had the cheapest drinks on the menu or this was calculated on the bartenders part. At that point, it was obvious what had happened. The bartender not only mishandled (or stole) the card but then gaslit us, trying to make it seem like we were lying. This experience was disgusting, unprofessional, and honestly criminal. If you value your money and your dignity, do not trust this establishment. Check your receipts, your card, and your statements if you've been here recently, because you might be a victim and not even know it. read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about this neighborhood bar near my house. I took two friends with me today. They had a Philly cheese steak sandwich as today's special. One of my friends doesn't eat beef so she asked if they may be able to make hers with chicken instead but with all the same fixings. They were HAPPY to accommodate her request! I ordered the special as well just as it comes and my other friend had the Red Fox burger. Our food was EXCEPTIONAL AND SO AFFORDABLE!! The owner, Richard, was our server. Great guy. He chatted with us and gave us the history of the place. We had a great time! He gave us a complimentary dessert which was truly decadent. Deep fried oreos with a caramel peanut butter whiskey dipping sauce. Honestly a one of a kind experience. Folks, most of you are not near San Bernardino, but this place is worth the drive! Trust me! I haven't eaten here in decades way back in the day before their fire closed them down for so long. I've heard the food. There is very good and found that out today. I had a San Francisco burger with onion rings and a zucchini appetizer. All of it was very good and reasonably price. The hamburger was cooked to perfection and the onion rings were crispy and tasty. They don't really have table service you go up to the bar and order and pick up from there but the young lady behind the bar was kind enough to wait on me at my table. It's a typical bar. It has some nice pictures of San Bernardino in the area from back in the day on the walls and a pool table. Otherwise nothing special. read more

Visited here with friends and had the lovely bartender Mae as our barkeep and server on Memorial Day. Our drinks were amazing, and the food was fresh and delicious. Mae kept us all going and took care of us. It was a full house and she could have used 4 extra hands, but we had a nice visit as we toasted both our youth and an old friend. The Sunday special is $1.25 crunchy tacos and I wish I had ordered something better. They were lukewarm and just a waste of calories. However, the chips and salsa (that we had to ask for twice), were freshly made and good. I had a tall Modelo that hit the spot after a hike at Heart Rock Trail in Crestline. Their jukebox was playing good music the whole time I was there. More people started coming in around 1:30pm and I would have loved to stay and have more beer but had to leave. I didn't get my bartender's name but she was super sweet and suggested an orange slice with the Patron I ordered. It was a good idea. I thought $16 for two shots was very reasonable. read more

I really like coming here, they got great prices on their food and drinks. They have 2 pool tables that are in good shape. I'm a Guinness drinker and they have it on tap, real Guinness drinkers know there is a specific way to pour that beer from a tap. The Guinness I got was poured too quickly and was about half beer and half head when it was given to me. By the time it settled it was still 25-30 percent head. I ordered another one and was done the same way. If a place has this beer on tap they should properly train the bartender on how to pour well. That being said I'll be back because I really enjoy this place and given a proper pour I would easily give this place 5 stars read more

Stopped at The Red Fox on our way down the hill from Lake Arrowhead. We wanted a sports bar environment since it was Sunday football. The bartender/server, Daniel, was outstanding! It was his first week on the job. I can only hope he stays long enough for us to have him again! He was so personable and attentive. We opted for a basket of chips & salsa and their "Sunday Special" $1.25 crispy tacos. The chips and salsa were so good with a delicious salsa to boot. THE TACOS were amazing! Each person enjoyed the burger it was hot and juicy the pickles in particular were awesome not your standard dill pickles there were slightly sweet and tangy. I think they are homemade. They also have a coin machine which is not common. Love that. The bartender was pretty nice, but kinda unimpressive as far as service goes. Not very attentive to her interaction with us. Tried the Saturday chili dog special $2.49. The presentation was there. However, the hot dog was cold in the middle, the chili was not even lukewarm. Tried to get the bartenders attention but she was unbothered in her bubble to the right of the bar. Seems like you have to be a known customer to get her attention.
