    Consomé

Order was wrong, I had a side of consomé that was nothing but oil!! I've noticed that a lot of the meat in the quesa birria is just fat!!

What a waste of time, gas and food!

I ordered carne asada burrito for my mom I said only carne asada with cheese tortillas and I said no beans and rice am so disappointed when I got home they didn't follow my order at all they still put beans and rice on it. Again am so disappointed!

Stopped in here at about 10am on a Friday because Denny's was too crowded, and it was the best decision ever! There was one other customer when we arrived, and two or three other tables arrived after us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance inside is great - lots of tables, high ceilings, and large windows letting lots of natural light in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the chicken enchiladas plate, which is my go-to, and my partner got the huevos con chorizo. I am not exaggerating when I say these were the most delicious enchiladas I have ever had in my life. Every part of the plate was amazing; it came with 3 verde chicken enchiladas, beans with cheese, rice, and sour cream (that DID NOT cost extra!). It was so delicious and filling, I took one enchilada home and it was just as good after being microwaved. I was thoroughly impressed with the service too - we both got coffees which were consistently refilled before they could get half-empty. The food took a little while, but was 100% worth it. Please go check this place out next time you are in the area, you won't regret it!

Today I decided to stop in and try the Friday special, fish and chips. My server Brenda was very attentive and friendly. My ice tea never reached the bottom of the glass. The fish was yummy and came out crispy and hot.. I did get more as it was all you can eat.. The fries were crispy and hot too.. I brought my favorite soup home with me.. Pepper Pot Soup.. Yummy.. Thank You I will be back...FYI the toast was yummy too, I wanted to ask for more..

    Let's try this out

Service is quick didn't wait long to be seated And our food came out quick as well Food tasted good some waiters here look and sound like they don't want to be here but the rest of the people were nice and friendly

I waited about an hour for these so called enchiladas and the cheese was burnt on the enchilada the beans tasted sour, rice was hard.

To begin with the employee seemed in a rush no patience whatsoever as I had a large order I guess customer service is not their thing, Food taste and quality is horrible I waited about an hour for them to give me my last part of my order some so called enchiladas that had the cheese burnt on to the top of the enchilada, the beans had a sour taste and the rice was hard, As a local for over a decade now this was my first and last time here, food is over priced don't waste your money here you are better off with any of the street vendors down the street!!!

Pepper Steak is king, but I will take credit for a day.

Good American chow. No pretenses, no gimmicks, no foo foo nonsense. Reminds me of ordinary places in the midwest or upper South, where you'd find the same kind of chow in every town. But out here in SoCal, it's rare, and to me a national treasure, like a historic landmark you can eat. I like to have real food at places like The Pep. Exhibit A: Chicken fried steak. My nod to healthy eating prompts me to take the gravy on the side. I know, the shame my parents must bear. Very good! Some pepper, crust crunchy and not thin, crust stays attached to said steak, and tender steak, all with a fried ambiance. Gravy not overwhelming, creamy and buttery, with a hint of flour taste (means it's real). I also loved to see other patrons. Many are couples, older, and almost all the men have big BIG moustaches. Ha. Dinner and a show!

Who knew this little bistro/lounge at the Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Ca. would have such a delicious menu? Oh, and they change the dining menu options ever so often. They also have a full bar menu for drinks as well. The vibe is upscale casual. There are two dinning areas at the hotel. One is the bistro (for more quiet dining) and directly across the hall is the lounge, where food and drink are also available. Great spot for a fun date night. On Friday and Saturday nights in the lounge, there is live music from 6-9pm. You can just order drinks and enjoy the music in the lounge, but you're gonna want to try the food too-it's yummy! The Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge is not just for hotel guests. It's a go to spot for locals, vacationers and those visiting the Yaamava Casino. Check it out.

Most recently we had breakfast. To start, the server took our order and was polite and organized. She brought out our drinks efficiently. The coffee is flavorless. The veggie omelet was flavorless too and tasted bland and like the eggs were watered down. The seafood omelette was fine. The biscuit and gravy was big. The pitcher for the hot tea had a dangerously broken handle that could have fallen off. I asked for Tabasco and got a little syrup container filled with Tabasco so that o needed to borrow someone's spoon to put it lightly on the potatoes because it was weird that it was to be poured on. The food doesn't look like the pictures if the food in the elevator doors. Disappointingly mid.

I ordered The Radiance Burger & Baja Fish Tacos. The service was impeccable. My server was Anabel and she provided excellent service. Anabel was attentive and provided service that led to a great first impression of The Radiance. The tacos were super flavorful, but the chipotle aioli & pickled onions really highlighted the tacos. The chipotle aioli provided the perfect mild spice and creamy element expected with fried fish tacos. The pickled red onions were spicy/sweet & refreshed the palette with every bite. Solid fish tacos! Thanks Anabel for making my first time visiting The Radiance Cafe a great one!!!

The fish was breaded, lightly fried, moist and flavorful. My friend had a California Club Sandwich on Chibata bread with an order of seasoned french fries. Generous portions were served with each meal, we seriously could have shared one between two people. The staff were very polite and accommodating, shout out to our server Jazmine who checked on us frequently and quick to bring out extra ice water on a hot day. Jereme was the first one to assist us by adjusting the canopy cover to give us more shade, he stopped by a couple of times to see how we were doing and he was not even our server, just providing extra customer service. The Radiance Cafe is open 7 days a week from 9AM to 5PM, enter from the 3rd floor elevators. I MUST mention that guests can become very hungry and thirsty from swimming. It is great to have an outdoor bar to the right and a cafe on the left. However, the cut-off time is right before the prime dinner hour and we were not aware of the early closure. We saw some friends who wanted to have dinner in their cabana, but it was 4:55 PM and the kitchen was closed. Perhaps, the closing time can be adjusted, especially during Daylight Savings Time. Thank you for your consideration. Overall, this is a great place for a staycation, with a Spa nearby and two Jacuzzi hot tubs with lounge chairs and Wi-Fi service. Sincerely, Rosemary

5-Star Review…read more Jenny's Diner has quickly become one of my favorite local breakfast spots! If you're looking for a classic American diner with generous portions, friendly service, and fair prices, this is it. My mom ordered the Lite Breakfast, and I had Jenny's Country Breakfast. Everything was cooked just right--the eggs were perfect, the hash browns were crispy, the bacon and sausage were flavorful, and the toast was buttery and fresh. The coffee kept coming, and our total for two breakfasts and two coffees was only about $29 before tip, which is hard to beat these days. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighborhood diner--red booths, checkerboard floors, Route 66 décor, vintage license plates, and a welcoming hometown feel. You can tell this is a place where regulars come to catch up over breakfast. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We'll definitely be back. If you're in Highland and craving a hearty breakfast without breaking the bank, Jenny's Diner is well worth the visit!

It's SoCal's only mom and pop 50's diner that's not part of some larger franchise or owned by big corpo (at least that's what I assume). Interior distinctly has the charm of a roadside diner with the 50's themed framed portraits, black and white checkered floors and the splash of red throughout. Some roadside charm to it too with license plates on the wall and the good ol' Route 66 sign. We only got to stop by quickly since we got take out as the rest of our group was still asleep, but this made for a great later brunch, probably actually lunch at this point. It's standard diner food, greasy pick me up for hungry and exhausted or hung over people or if you want something to tide you over before you hit the road. Either way, our food came out quickly and packed very nicely. Portions are quite generous and although it's not the highest quality of food (fries got styrofoamy a tad too fast and some of the meat was dry), nothing some ketchup and sauce didn't fix and the spaghetti and fish were actually pretty good. I wouldn't mind returning one day to dine in and get the full experience.
