Something seemed fishy and boy was i right. I made an advance reservation for the all-you-can-eat lobster buffet at 9:00 PM, expecting that my reservation would be honored. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. After driving through three hours of traffic and not eating beforehand because I planned on enjoying the buffet, we were forced to stand in a long, crowded line for almost two hours. During that time, I personally witnessed the line barely move. In fact the line advanced all of five people and that was only because people got tired of waiting and left the line. Myself and the other guests were eventually told we may or may not even be seated, despite having reservations. Because of how poorly the situation was being handled, I called the casino's main line and asked to speak with a manager. The manager came to speak with me while I was still waiting in line and listened to my concerns about how unfairly everyone was being treated. The "solution" offered was that we would all be seated, but only allowed 15 minutes to eat. I asked if we could take food to go since we were being rushed through no fault of our own, and I was told no. What made the situation worse was that when I looked inside the dining area, there appeared to be plenty of seating and staff available. It felt like the line was being held back because of a food shortage rather than because the restaurant was actually full. When we were finally seated, we had only 15 minutes to eat. The whole lobsters that were advertised were not available. Instead, we were served lobster tails, fried shrimp, and mashed potatoes along with very few items to choose from. Just as I suspected, there was very little left to offer. Guests who had hoped to enjoy dessert were left with ice cream because everything else was gone. This was poor management, poor planning, and a very disappointing way to treat customers who made reservations and waited patiently. After the long drive, the long wait, the rushed seating, and the lack of advertised food, this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend Serrano Buffet unless they seriously improve how they manage reservations, crowd control, and food availability. read more

I love the casino plus the buffet is good. I use my free points on my yaamava card so, it's free! I love the pizza, carving stations but the omelette station is my favorite. So fresh and so hot! There are several options for desserts as well. The gelato is delicious! My server was attentive and nice. Today was the first time I tried the Serrano seafood buffet here at Yamava Casino. I do have to say it was excellent. My husband and I had reservations at 4, which was the start of their dinner crowd. We checked in, and had to wait approximately 15-20 min. Wasn't too bad considering the line looked endless. Once we were allowed to enter the dining area, we were greeted, and escorted to our table. The food was fully stocked, and there were many different choices. Crab legs being their centerpiece. I observed all of their waiters/waitresses greeting guests, taking drink orders, and making sure it was going to be a positive dining experience. The seafood I had was fresh, and it was cooked to perfection. Not overcooked and/or rubbery. I will definitely visit this place again. I recommend trying it, if you are in the market for endless steamed crab legs. It was well worth it. They also had a wide variety of sweets with "sugar free" as one of the options. As usual breakfast selections had some great choices, from made to order omelets/ eggs cooked on site to your liking . Decently priced casino buffet with decent food. I went for the Saturday brunch with friends. They had a few brunch classics like French toast, pancakes, and an omelette station. There was also carved meat, thanksgiving sides, pizza, Asian food, and lots of desserts. As a pescatarian (who doesn't do shellfish) they had a swai fish as a protein option. Came to Serrano Buffet for Hong Kong Lobster Night on a Friday. They charged an extra $10 surcharge for the Lobster offering regardless if you ate Lobster or not. Overall the Lobster was not worth the extra charge as they were tiny & overcooked then drenched in an MSG enriched sauce. Offering as a plain boiled option would've been much better. Wow! Totally worth it! Friday & Sat is seafood night. No lobster these nights. Great selections. Maybe the best snow crab I've had in years. Easy to crack and whole pieces just melted in your mouth. We had server Holy who was very attentive and friendly. Holy was also very informative. Drink refills and clearing of the finished plates were taken care of almost immediately. There's several tables but you're not crowded too close to each other. Making it a comfortable atmosphere. MAKE A RESERVATION and don't do what we did last weekend. Made reservations for the serrano buffet the day of as I had read they were required. We made the 1:30 drive during traffic hour and barely made it on time for the reservation to wait in line. An employee checked us in while in line. Line moved slow because of VIP guests of the resort. Dinner buffet for two people on a Tuesday night was right under $90. Maria our waitress/server was friendly and brought our drinks. Food options offered were your typical ayce options minus the crab legs which I don't eat. I'm really disappointed with the whole experience. It was one thing to make a reservation, but when YOU STILL HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE RESERVATION?!? Ive been having some misses lately, coming to Serrano buffet located in the fabulous Yaamava Hotel/Casino resort located in Highland, CA. Even their veteran server, Rina, was not attentive, and we got very subpar service from her on our recent trip. I came here on the very last day for their AYCE Hong Kong Style Lobster night. I had to wait in line for about 35 mins, which wasn't too bad at all for my dinner reservation. I asked my hostess if Holy was available but that night she was a breaker for someone else but still came and checked on me if I needed something else. Reasoned I asked for Holy. She was always very friendly and super attentive even though it was very busy at times. I hope Yaamava management takes notice of her excellent customer service and work ethics for Yaamava patrons. 6/38/2025: Another great dinner at The Serrano Buffet located inside the Yaamava Casino! Hubby and I usually plan our visits on Wednesdays or Thursdays because the casino is a little less crowded and it's Lobster night! But today, we wanted to changed things up and booked a reservation for Saturday Seafood Extravaganza! The casino was busy, and the Buffet was bustling! Their check-in system on tablets in the line is so efficient, you make your way to the register to pay and then you're seated at a table fairly quickly! This night we were helped by Rafael (also known as Sonny). So friendly, he made sure our table was cleared and our drinks were filled. The buffet stations are immaculate! The counters are constantly being cleaned from the customer facing side, and the staff behind the counter kept things beautiful in spite of how busy they are. Kudos to the chef for the perfectly prepared crab legs! They weren't overcooked and were so delicious, we didn't need to dip them in anything! The crawfish with sausage and potatoes took me back to New Orleans, and the Salt & Pepper Shrimp were crispy and well seasoned. So many other amazing dishes.. but something should be a surprise. If you haven't been to the Serrano Buffet, I highly recommend that you book a reservation (required) and check it out for yourself! Oh, and while there, make sure to try the mashed potatoes. We came for the weekend brunch and it was okay. I had always heard the Serrano buffet was comparable to Vegas casino buffets and it was half true. I think I'll have to visit for dinner to get the full experience but it was quite pricey for a brunch buffet. If I knew what was different between the weekday breakfast and weekend brunch, maybe my thoughts would be different. The food was okay. Most of it was on the bland side to me. Not a huge deal since you can add more salt. The fried chicken was a hitter though! You can't leave without eating that! The interior was clean and the check in process was easy. You do have to make a reservation and your entire party has to be present during check in. the staff were pretty nice and attentive, however they are pretty serious about their 90 min time limit. Once we hit that mark, they seemed kind of pushy to get us out. Wednesday and Thursday are seafood nights so I'll definitely be coming back to try that. read more
