The food offered was as expected. We went on a regular day buffet (not the lobster) and the offering was just fine. Plenty to choose from to satisfy your hunger. But i was disappointed there was no deep fried shrimp. I was craving for those and couldn't find any. Its ok, the fried chicken was perfect. i dip it in gravy and mashed potatoes. Kathleen our server, provided us with warm, inviting and attentive service. Not once did i have to ask to refill my beverage as she was on top of keeping it full. Empty used plates dont stay on the table for too long. Her helpful attitude is to be commended. For the most part, the servers we encounter at Serrano are kind and helpful, but Kathleen was exceptional. If you're planning to eat here, make sure you put in a reservation. You won't be able to get in without one. Even with one, expect a wait for 30-45 minutes. We were here Sunday for the crab legs night. I believe it was around $58 a person. There is a hostess that comes around who checks you in and take in your drink order to save them some time. Once you come in, you'll notice the sheer abundance of crab legs in buckets on tables that needs to be bussed and tables need to be wiped. I would say even at 60 percent capacity, they were really busy. The crab legs were terrific. But like one other Yelper said, the rest of the buffet falls short. The other offerings, though the flavors were good, it was very limited at over seasoned. My fried chicken was super salty and the baked gnocchi was hard as a rock. Salad bar was meh. I would recommend the fruit plate and the ice cream bar, those two I went back for seconds. The crab legs were so good here, I had 3 plates. I guess I know why other tables were destroying the crab legs like I did. Make sure you eat quick and dunk it in the butter that's available in the middle crab leg station. You gotta eat fast before the butter solidifies or it just taste like a pile of grease. Service here is terrific, our guy made sure we had empty tables and drink refilled. We waited for him after he came back from his 30 min break to give him his well deserved tips. Drinks I believe were Pepsi products. If they only had a shorter wait and better food overall, I would give this place 5 stars. But if you are like crab legs (and they provide the tools for you on your table) this is probably for you. read more

I've always wanted to try the buffet at Yamavaa. But the line is typically long and I come to the casino sporadically and don't plan reservations a week in advance. But this day was different. The line was small and I was lucky enough to encounter Jacqueline. She made room for me even when I didnt have reservations and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I am so grateful she got me in, with great seating and a delicious fusion dinner night. Now that I've experienced it I'll definitely be back again soon. And I'm bringing friends next time! Serrano Lunch buffet was ok. I did expect better for $29.99. The main draw, the carving station was sub-par. The offering today was Tri-Tip and St. Louis ribs. Sadly the tri-tip was very over cooked, and very tough. I cook a lot of tri-tip and this was way past medium rare as it should be. Also, the server carving did not know how to slice a tri-tip, making it even tougher to eat. Sadly, also, the ribs were very under cooked resulting in very tough to eat ribs. Very chewy. Main thing to remember is to make reservations online, I was able to get a reservation for 3 people the day before since they fill out quickly. My parents got a free coupon for buffets since they gamble but the price is high if you had to pay. Buffet area was a bit messy with plenty of people walking about. They have a section of Italian foods such as spaghetti and pizza. A mexican food area with green chile verde, beans, mexican rice, and tamales. A roasted meats section such as ribs, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. An Asian section with california sushi rolls, fried rice, sauteed green beans, orange chicken, chow mein along with a cold salad bar and dessert bar. They had ceviche, cold shrimp and mussels. Their soup was salty, they did have various types though. The place is loud with plenty of seating. Lots of staff walking about and the food is good. The fried chicken was crispy and not salty. Both times, many of the items looked delicious, but they were barely lukewarm. I just couldn't eat many of the dishes. The berries and mangos were delicious! I enjoyed the tamales and mushrooms. The service here was good. Our server Martha was very attentive and polite. The price for Sunday brunch was 44.95 per person. The variety of different foods was plentiful, but most of it was average or pretty good. The tri tip slices from a carving station I had were overcooked, dry, and tough. I had their fried chicken and it was moist and had a good crispy texture. The quiche came in a little pan and it was pretty good. I also had California rolls, seaweed salad, pickled cabbage, Asian spinach, and sesame balls from their Asian station. They were pretty standard fare that you can get from any Asian buffet. I also visited the Italian station and took shrimp(1 piece) and grits, chicken Marsala, fried plantain, and roasted mushrooms. All of these tasted pretty decent, but I think they should put more pieces of shrimp in that bowl of grits portion, but that's just my preference. I do adore gelato station and they scoop it into a cone or waffle cup. I had a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of strawberry. They did also have coconut pineapple, vanilla, and caramel flavor. There was also an omelet/eggs cooked to order station and a pancake/French toast cooked to order station, but I did not want to wait in lines for those (There was about 7-10 people already waiting when I went). Sunday brunch to me is average or pretty good here, but I don't know if I would be itching to return for it at this price. Remember, this is just Sunday brunch for me. My husband and I went for the Crab Leg buffet. As we were being seated by the host/waiter, he said "Enjoy your 90 minutes" and walked away. Very rude. We were disappointed that the crab legs were dirty and soggy. So soggy that when we tried to break the leg in half to get the meat out it was rubbery. We will not be going back.
