Sergio's has never disappointed. Even during this quarantine they have provided amazing curbside pickup. I can attest that Sergio's pizza is amazing. There Detroit style dish is a must have. I guess I should've gotten pizza. Certainly wouldn't try their other dishes. I got fettuccine chicken Alfredo to go. Noodles aren't done. The sauce isnt even near authentic. We ordered fettuccine Alfredo and a steak and cheese sub with side salads and garlic knots. Apparently Sergio's uses take out (Grubhub) delivery orders to dump their stale bread and old lettuce. If I was in the restaurant, I would have sent the salad and garlic knots back. I ate the soft part of the bread and this picture is what was inedible. read more

While staying in the area for business, I came here based on reviews I read online and they didn't really disappoint. Service was just "ok" and could have been better, but it was acceptable and the food was great! Salad was basic, but their pizza was outstanding, with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor! Their happy hour has some decent prices and lots of selections. The dining room and bar are decent looking. They do have a vast menu with lots of great Italian delights. Been going to Sergio's for over 10 years now. Always recommended to my local friends and folks that would visit us. Visited there once a week while my kid had dance at a local studio. Sucks that I am writing this. I'll echo what the soccer moms said below. They do not want parties of 10 or more. They are inconsistent with the message around this topic, and they definitely like to tell you they have the phone calls recorded. Attempted to visit there the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (we had family in from out of town)...i called at 530 to see what our chances were to have a group of 12 come..at any time they could have us. Was told we need to have all 12 to be there before our name could go on the list. The overall feel of the conversation was that they really didn't even want us to come. I was shocked to get this feedback from them. I should have just left it at that. But my wife called them back and was led to believe that we could be seated around 7pm (since we would be arriving later). So, we arrive at 7pm and the stories once again were inconsistent. (1 person said all of the party had to be there, another person said half of the party had to be present) No doubt we were frustrated, and a "tough" conversation took place. Tough conversations take place sometimes...it does not warrant their behavior and actions to us that I will discuss below. Some space opened up at the bar, we put a few tables together and we sat. We placed an app order and a drink order. The group had dropped to 8 due to the time we had to wait, and they had littles. Our waitress was great. Sergio employees/friends/family were hanging out at the table beside us. The hostess/manager (not sure of her title) we spoke with was being catty, unprofessional and obviously talking about my wife and our group to the people at this table due to the "tough conversations" we had while waiting and getting clarity on their process. My wife was upset and gave them a "look". The women at the table aggressively approached us, voices loud, pointing fingers and appeared wanting to physically harm us. The owner had to hold the women back to prevent this. At this time, the owner said to us, "WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 31 YEARS AND DO NOT NEED YOUR BUINESS". We had children with us. My 8-year-old was crying uncontrollably due to the fear she had from the women aggressively coming at us. I am thankful for the waitress that consoled her until I came and got her and took her outside. We left. No doubt they are a successful business. Being from New Jersey I was really surprised how good the pizza was at Sergio's - the thin crust is cooked to perfection and holds up to the weight of the 4 toppings I like. My hat is off to the pizza maker. They have other dishes of course but I have only tried the Calamari and the Chicken Picata - both were top rate. Will be back and I highly recommend you try it. So it just keeps getting better at Sergio's with the addition of a "Detroit Style Pizza" that is absolutely the best deep dish pizza I have ever had. read more

I live right in the neighborhood next to sergios. We have been in the area approximately 2 ish years. The 1st thing we tried was pizza. NOT a good pizza! I have been told that their other dishes were good, so I revisited and ordered quite a few times since. Tonight I went in and ordered take out of pasta and meatballs... I truly believe they just open a jar of sauce and the meatballs ARE NOT homemade. They are processed and frozen. And, in response to Jessica's comment to Jellymom's review, your rebuttal about being unable to host our party is 100 percent bogus! I was another parent that called a couple weeks ago and while your employee did happen to explain that you don't take reservations, she also said that if we came in on that Saturday morning when you first opened at 11am with our large party that it "shouldn't be an issue". Jessica, I understand that you all can't help the fact that you were short staffed. It's a common problem in the restaurant industry. But, your response to Jellymom's comment saying, "We told your party (on recorded phone lines) every single time you called that we wouldn't be able to accommodate your party when we're short staffed." is completely false! That was the message we got yesterday when we showed up! That was not the message your staff gave me 2 weeks ago when I called. However, maybe that should be the message you give to your patrons on a consistent basis when they call regarding larger parties from now on. My last rant is this, why did you feel the need to include the comment about telling Jellymom that you have this on "recorded phone lines"? That's not something you can play on this website? Came here one day with my girlfriend, we both wanted pizza and decided to try a new place instead of going to one of the regular spots. Our server wasn't bad, she got our order correct and kept our drinks full. I ordered the rigatoni Joey C and my girlfriend ordered the stuffed shells. We also ordered a pizza to take home and decided on the deep dish pizza that's only there for a limited time. We both agreed that all the food on the table tasted and looked amazing. We had such a good experience here, we will definitely be returning. The only thing that I can say I didn't like here were the booths, which have no cushion for your butt so it was pretty uncomfortable sitting there. I highly recommend trying this place out and I really really really hope they keep that marvelous deep dish pizza on their menu because that pie tastes incredible! read more

IDK why it took us so long to try this place. It's the BEST pizza I've had since we moved to Virginia 9 years ago. REAL PIZZA with real ingredients. Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance was nice - casual but not too bright or noisy. The craft beer menu was amazing - they didn't list Stella as "craft". I can't believe I didn't write a review yet! Sergio's has been our go to for pizza and Italian for a few years now. We've had pizza from other places in the area and nothing can compare to Sergios. If you love mozzarella sticks as much as I do you definitely have to get them for an appetizer. They are monstrous fried cheesy goodness I could make a meal out of that. Well I have ordered the calamari to go several times it's just better when you're sitting down in the restaurant. I really loved the pear and Gorgonzola salad as well as the chicken Parm sub just perfection. The last time my husband ordered a cheesesteak sub for us to split he left the half in the box and he ate 1/2, however when I went to eat my half of the sandwich there was no meat the meat had piled all on his side. The last time we came in we sat down and ordered pasta, I ordered the chicken piccata which is one of my absolute favorites I love the lemon butter sauce along with the saltiness from the capers and the artichokes. We were craving pizza....local pizza....and had always heard great things about Sergio's. We weren't disappointed. We ordered the medium Mediterranean pizza (in hindsight, we could have shared a small), fried meat ravioli, and cheesy garlic bread. Their marinara is slightly sweet, which we love, and the pizza was covered with plenty of toppings. Nice, thick chunks of feta and tomatoes, fresh basil, and plenty of black olives.. The fried ravioli and cheesy bread came with very generous portions of marinara sauce for dipping. The price is higher than a chain, BUT for the huge portions (you will definitely have leftovers!) and the homemade taste, you can't beat this. Just delicious all around. read more

I had no knowledge of extra bathrooms I'm sure because if the "Covid crap" that's going on. It kept us limited to where we could explore for safety reasons. Wow! The Detroit style pizza was amazing. I don't know what the issue was with the people working there but the lady was not pleasant when we showed up to pick up our carry out. She said she would put it in the window. I did not know what that meant and then she pointed over to where she put it. Maybe that was some kind of makeshift window for previous Covid paranoia that has passed. The food itself was so amazing we can't wait to try some of their regular pizzas and other stuff. Possibly, just post Covid employee anger. The Detroit style pizza we got was five star but I can't give five star overall for angry service. read more

They do great carry out service. Some of the better NY Style pizza in the Midlothian area. The restaurant is always crowded and a little noisy for a quiet dinner. I suggest do the carry out when you are able. Parking can be hard to find at some times of the week. read more

This is Really unfortunate because they have decent food. Just know that they don't take reservations and CANNOT accommodate larger parties. This is coming from Mike, the manager of the pizzeria. Several of the parents had called ahead of time and were given the message that "it shouldn't be an issue" if we were able to come at the opening hour of the restaurant for lunch. The pizza crust is too soft, there needs to be a nice crisp with a chew, far too much cheese. Pasta was decent. New York style is not this.
