We were excited to eat here while visiting family in the area. They raved about the food. They were right. The food was delicious. However, that's only a part of what makes a dining experience a good visit. Restaurants are called part of the hospitality industry for a reason. Our visit though was lacking in this area. Thanks to our waitress Kamilah. We started with appetizers and drinks for our party. They were prompt and very good. Then we placed our orders for entrees. Our entrees came with salads and we were asked our dressing choices. When they came only 3 of the 4 arrived. Our server reached across me to hand my husband his salad. (Which was to be the same as mine had mine arrived.). I waited for her to reappear with my salad. She never did. Then came the entrees. I mentioned to Kamilah that she could just bag my salad to go since I never got it. She replied, "Oh, ok". Um, the proper reply is "I'm so sorry! I can get it now" or something along those lines. Nope. Then when we were ready to box up our leftover entrees, I said to her and you can just bring my salad when you bring those, too. She said, "Yes, I have that boxed up." Again, there's her chance to apologize for the screw up. Nope. Didn't happen. She wasn't even nice about it. So, thank you Kamilah for your inhospitable attitude while waiting on us. I'm nice so your tip really didn't take a hit that you would have noticed. But, we usually would have tipped a lot better than the norm had you made more of an effort. Basic common courtesy goes a long way in treating your guests. All in all, food was really good but we were left with a less than welcoming feeling by our server. read more

Our go to spot for many occasions and food needs. The pizza is consistently delicious, even to go, but my other favorites are their seafood selections, mussels appetizer, Alfredo with shrimp, shrimp Fra Diavolo. Ordered the grandma-style pizza here via toast on a Saturday night for pick up. We live about 25 minutes away but my goodness, this pizza was worth the wait! They have a well-oiled machine takeout system. Even on a very busy Saturday evening, our pizza was ready and we walked in and out. A quick reheating in the oven and adding on fresh basil from my garden and we were in heaven. Great sauce, balanced flavors. We were excited to try Sergio's for dinner. We ordered takeout. Our order was ready very quickly. A white pizza with tomatoes, a Caesar salad that came with garlic bread, and garlic Parmesan wings. I grew up in NY and I have high standards for pizza, especially when advertised as "NY style". The texture and consistency of the crust was spot on. However the flavor of the crust and toppings missed the mark. The white pizza had a very thin layer of cheese and it wasn't seasoned much. I was expecting a cheesier, seasoned, and garlicky pie. The wings were good. Plenty of meat on them and they weren't overly greasy. The Caesar salad was fresh. The garlic bread was different than anticipated, but still fresh. It looked like to large buns that had a little bit of garlic and Parmesan on top. The bread itself was delicious, but not very garlicky. I've heard great things about their mozzarella sticks. However I didn't think they'd travel well and hope to try them dining in one day. I plan on giving Sergio's another shot for a dine in service, but this won't be my preferred place to order pizza. read more

Took an inordinately long time for food to be served and sadly the wings came out with the pizza. We had hoped the appetizer would have arrived before the entree. My husband and I ate at the bar and had an incredible dinner. I got the NY style white pizza and he got the Grandma style since he's never had a true Chicago pizza. Our bartender was friendly and the food was incredible. After watching soccer in the pouring rain this place was perfect. They had bar games (darts, shuffleboard) and a table top dice game that we hadn't seen before. It was a very laid back, local kind of feel. Sergio's Never disappoints! Went for lunch on Friday with my friend. Service was prompt and friendly! They now have electronic order pads that they then use to do your bill right at the table. It's great! We were super hungry so started with toasted cheese ravioli. Soooo good!! The right amount of breading and creamy cheese, cooked to perfection. Then salads came, they were salads. The main course wasn't far behind! My friend had spaghetti with meat sauce and I got the ziti ala Siciliana (baked ziti). So yummy! Sauce is great and I enjoyed dipping the HUGE garlic bread rolls in it! I also ordered chicken Parmesan to go for my hubby and the server timed it perfectly. We both left full and I had leftovers to take with me (friend ate all of hers!). This isn't my first time here. The pizza is wonderful! I love love love the white pizza! So my friend wanted to try a Detroit style pizza and searching thru Yelp I saw this spot was highly recommended! Busy Friday night crowd so we had to wait, the host was super nice and said he would call when out table was available. We got there a little after 8p and they close at 10. We waited and waited, no call so I go in and the host was like I called you! I looked at my phone no call, he apologized several times and seated us. Our waitress seemed more interested in closing for the night but she did give a couple food recommendations and we placed our order. We decided on the pepperoni Detroit style and the Chicken Philly with fries. So pizza was a 4/5, deep dish with drizzles of sauce on top, tasty. My husband and I went to Sergio's specifically for pizza and loved it! He had heard about it from a fellow Buffalo Bills fan who referred to it at Gio's. I didn't realize they would have so much space and such a large menu. It is a nice location for family and friends to have dinner together. The staff was very attentive. Ok so on Saturday I stopped in this is the first time I have ever received poor quality food from Sergio's I ordered a Stromboli Abbondanza , Joey C Rigatoni with salad , bada bing bites ,and mozzarella logs . It is normal that I wait 30 minutes as it's always been awesome food not this time so the abbondanza was so burnt the crust was so burnt that the toppings was the only thing you could chew up the salad was old wilted lettuce tomato was diced in very small pieces and was the end pieces of the tomatoes the badda bing bites were good my mozzarella logs were so overcooked that they had no cheese inside the girl that took my order was great the kitchen staff really dropped the ball . The restaurant was not very clean at this visit plenty of staff time to lean got time to clean to many Italian restaurants in Midlothian to put out this kind of food and service it will be quite a while before I decide to come back at $70.00 plus 20 in tip I'm going to start going to my second favorite read more

It is classic Italian-American with a few twists to keep it interesting. The pizza is thin crust, New York style. There is a large selection of toppings and some unique specials on a rotating basis. Their soups and salads are fresh and tasty. I really like their eggplant parmigiana. There is always leftovers to take home because the servings are gigantic. Everything comes to the table freshly made and piping hot. The servers are always checking back to make sure everything is perfect and drinks are filled. If there is a crowd or anyone is swamped, waitstaff always helps each other out. You are never left unattended, even at the busiest of times. Like I said, the server training is impeccable here. They have daily specials and soups. Sergio's is great for groups too. We have gone in a group several times, and the service has always been spectacular. I've been to Sergio's twice now. Both times have been wonderful. I love the atmosphere in this place. It's always so WARM and lively. Just a cozy place to get a nice hot meal. Who on planet Earth doesn't love Italian food? The food comes out hot and delicious. On my most recent visit I tried the seafood Alfredo alla Rosa and it was legit. It's very rich and I actually took half of it home. My fiancé had the classic chicken parm and my son had a pepperoni pizza. Tonight was not a great Sergio's visit. We've eaten there many times so we know we like it but tonight.... I wouldn't go back if this had been my first visit. To start, the young woman taking names at the front was unfriendly and looked unhappy to be at work. After taking our information she told me to stand outside or by the bar area. When I asked her to repeat herself she did, explaining that their lobby was only for takeout. We followed orders and stood by the bar -- and were in all the servers way. Decided to get a beer at the bar after sitting there for probably 6-7 minutes before being approached by the bar tender. The beer I wanted was out and when I asked for root beer for my kids his response, "we don't sell that". It seemed like we were bothering him. Got the alert that our table was ready and to come to the hostess stand. I hopped up and went straight there -- she seated three families before us. I asked if a booth was available and she said no. A male employee said yes there were two available -- so she took us to one. Our waiter was nice, but forgot to bring the beer I ordered and never offered my son the side (salad or soup) that should've come with his Greek pasta. All in all, the food was good, we cleaned our plates, but the service was subpar and most everyone seemed miserable to be working there. read more
